SpeedART- Birthday Update!

Very nice man. I may have to jump back into the game to make my own Christmas update. Happy Holidays.:)

Nice to see a Christmas update, this picutre just shows how much you've improved in GT4 Photography since nearly 1year ago when you first signed up:scared:.
I see you chose a static shot of the Vanquish, oh no sorry thats all you could do, as it would have got stuck in the snow with its useless RWD

if you tried to drive it...

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for all your comments guys!

And Tommi, what makes you say that, are you trying to say that Audi's are superior or something?

I'm sure some of you will have heard, I'm back. I don't know how long for, but I'm back. I've realised I made the biggest mistake I could ever make when I quit GT4 Photography, I was at the top of my game I'd only during the previous weeks won my first competition my cleaning and other skills were becoming, well really quite good. I ruined it for myself, these photoshop skills are part of me, although at the moment I'm struggling to remember them, I need them.

It hit me hard when I was taking my interview for my work experience. I went to a place called Mortons, they are a graphics design place. I talked about how I could use Photoshop, they told me they were impressed. Their primary programme is Photoshop. They asked me how I'd become familar with Photoshop, I explained about GT4 and my "gallery", they were still impressed. I got the work placement.

When I got home, it didn't hit me. I hadn't been on Photoshop for over 4 months, I'd forgotten most of those precious skills I had picked up. Only today, 4 months away from when my work experience starts. I decided to fire up the PS3...but not as usual. This time it has GT4 in it. I've been on it all afternoon.

Yes, I'm back.

oh crap! you gotta be kidding. but like they say, experience is always something that stays with you, so don't worry because you'll probably get it back sooner, and hopefully not later. seems like gt4 photography and the photoshop work it involves comes in handy. i mentioned about our little planet as well when i went for an interview for The Arts Institute of Vancouver, when i was applying for a game design course and they were pretty happy about it considering you can learn photoshop skills and the like. goodluck to your new career! and hope to see more updates from you here.

I´m happy to know that U are once again among us Speed:D

Welcome...once again mate. Hope to see your gallery updated soon:tup:

Thanks guys, I'm working on some shots at the moment, I can't gurantee them being up to "old me" standard quite yet but..they might turn out well. And with the [sarcasm]AMAZING[/sarcasm] 5cm of snow outside I can't see me doing anything else today..so perhaps a update by tonight?

It is good to see you returning.

Thanks!

Well, I said I'd be returning and I have. I've been working on multiple shots over this long weekend. Some I'm pleased with some I scrapped half way through, of course I'll only be showing you the ones which I do like...Apart from one, I'm saving that to see if it will fit in with the tournament qualifying round. If it doesn't then I will show it here. Anyway, I have a picture of a Cizeta, a Ford GT and...hopefully a Polyphony Digital F1 car although I will agree I've reduced the size of the image far too much.

Enjoy.

so lets check the update...quite impressive mate. The Ford GT is one hell of a shot, really good in colors, blur, detail...and look at those rims!!!
I also like the Cizeta, quite wild looking. The 1st shot is nice looking, no doubt...lovely blur and camera!!

Hope to see more Adam:D

the blurs on all of them are very good 👍 the F1 car, though a bit small, looks nice with the wide screen style. would be perfect for a banner i think. the cizeta has great lighting all over. the front bumper's a bit jaggy, but it's not a big deal really. the ford gt is quite simple and nice. some smudge marks on the number sign, but no biggy. i still like the cizeta out of the whole batch. there's just something about it, it looks like the car's on the limit and just about missed the wall. must have been fun driving that thing :D great work man! goodluck on the comp.

I really like the last shot because of the lighting and colors.

Thanks TVR&FF!

Love the GT40! The lighting is perfect. I love the look of the larger rims! Great update for the first one in a long time!

Glad people liked the GT shot, I wasn't sure if it was good or not, seeming the image didn't include the whole car. Can't remember who said it but a comment directed towards a newbie was something like "Try include all the car in the image". Anyway, thanks very much for your comment!

Thanks for that Nuno! About the Cizeta...there is a story about that but I come round to say it later :D Thanks for your comment!

I was fairly pleased with the F1 car, and the image was originally intended almost for that widescreen affect. I just might have trimmed it a bit too much in the process :ouch:. I agree with the jaggyness on the bumper, I must have forgotten to go over it with the smudge tool after I lens blurred it. Now, the reasons for the smudge bits on the GT is that I slipped and didn't notice it...until I finished where it was a bit late.

Now the Cizeta...When I took that car out, at first I had no idea what I wanted photo shots wise. However by the time I made it round that large coastal path behind the mountains I could tell it had a probelm...braking. So when I was coming down to that hairpin I slammed the brakes on and it sort slid. So I thought that be a pretty cool picture. I didn't get what I had in mind but it was close enough.

Thanks for your comments guys!!

Did you get around corner blur on the Cizeta there? Nice job! I never mastered it 👍

I'm not sure...I don't think I did anything that I didn't usually do. But I'll look into it, sounds quite intresting. Anyway, thanks!

PS: Does this mean your back in GT4 again? Also, has your Premium ran out?

Oh, must've been GT4 blur on the tarmac then, it looks like it's done in PS though, nice effect 👍

Yes, my Premium has run out, enjoyed it but 1 year was enough 👍

And I'm not back into GT4, but I'm not not into GT4 as much as I was ;) You'll see me more now and then, but still not as much as before :)

Thanks again, I think I'll be renewing my Premium when it runs out, I just love the big red name ;) It'll be nice to see you around a bit more often.

Well hate to say it, but my gallery seems to have died yet again. This is perhaps to do with I've grown a new love, not a girlfriend I don't have one of those, but real life photography. I'm addicted to it, there's so much to photograph in this world. GT4 has been a great starting blocks to real photography and I promise any of you that plan to get into real photography any skill you learn from these great people around the photomode section here. As you can probably guess, I'm shutting down this gallery probably for good until GT5P or GT5 has photomode.

If you want to still talk to me feel free to PM me or take a look at my new gallery for real photography here.

Anyway I hope all of you guys keep pushing yourselfs to the limits and don't worry I'll still be floating around here from time to time!

Good luck.

👍

And I encourage everyone to head over to his photography thread right now, 'cus this guy knows how to shoot cars

Thanks Bram! It's much appreciated, especially when you taught me loads of GT4 skills which is so cool to put into use in real life. :)

Yes, I doing a one off update! As some people know it's my birthday today and as per last year I'm doing a special update. Although it's not really unique, it's mainly just to show that I can do some of the 2.0 stuff. Anyway I hope you enjoy! Constructive critcism is welcomed!

Enjoy.

Happy birthday MR ADAM!!! Hope you have all you wished!!

About the Impreza...I see you are ready to battle in 2.0 comps, so don´t forget to enter in the next 2.0 Tournament. Very realistic, with a soft looking all over it!! You still have the "touch" alright:tup:

See you soon mate...

Happy birthday man! Lovely shot as well. Nice cleaning job on that. It's hard (for me at least) to clean around the headlight beams. 👍

Cheers Nuno, I definitely will be entering 2.0 after the positive comments on this shot! Glad to hear I still have the touch, I was pretty sure I'd lost it.

Happy birthday. That's a great looking impreza. You should deffinitely enter 2.0. :D

Thanks David!

I hope you had a great birthday.

About your latest update

Yeah it was difficult to clean round the headlight beams, and you can probably see where I stopped to go round the beams giving a choppy effect. Thanks for your comment!

Happy birthday Speedster502.
Also, that is really a nice update. 👍

Cheers, Muzaffar much appreciated!
