SpeedART- Birthday Update!

Yup, that was one of the first steps of the B dieing. Massive crazy people and too fast rally cars.

The session of the RS200 is cool. Nice adjustment of the levels.

talk about michelle mouton ! the first and only (as far as i know) to drive a WRC car and actually win! i miss the old touring car series too, back when they had the Cosworth RS' and the fifth generation accords.

I agree with jgda9rs i think just about all of the old cars in everything were better like the old f1 cars and drivers!!!

This is awesome I have been gone for about 20 minutes and a full blown conversation of old v.s new has broken out. Completely agree with all of you. Also thanks for the comments on my pictures. This "NEW v.s OLD" idea gives me an idea........

to speedster. i can see the drastic improvement in your shots over time. the photoshops are getting better as well. if you want to talk photoshop, i can give you some pointers on how to make them look a little more realistic, as far as fitting the Real life stills into the screen shots is concerned. keep up the good work 👍

GROUP B RALLY CRASH
Today at the Portuguese rally on the stage of "Lagoa Azul" piloted by Joaquim Santos crested a rise to find the road blocked with spectators crowding to see the fastest cars come through. Trying to stop, he lost control of his RS200 and plunged into the crowd. Thirty-one people were injured and three were killed. All the top teams immediately pulled out of the rally and Group B was placed in jeopardy.

A friend of my dad got injured in that crash.

Man, that was insane. If you see the video for that accident (tv was live when it happened) it gives you the chills. It was like a wall of people that the car was cutting through like butter.

As for your pics, I'm loving them! 👍

Like said, you're getting better and better. What's your theme on the tournament?

Las Vegas Strip was my theme on the tournement. I havent seen the footage of the crash feel sorry for your dads friend bet it hurt to be hit by a light powerfull mad machine. I wish I could show the photo I used but I am not allowed by competition rules untill the poll is finished but it is one of my best shots so I am gonna have to wait.

EDIT: Just watched the video and ouch that has got to hurt I also watched the Delta S4 crash from an ameteur video but was too far away to help i.e about 0.3 of a mile

Haha, call me crazy but I really like the RS200 Rally Car. Very colorful update. The tone is great too, gives the photos a real sense of heat and summer rallying. The second shot really does it for me, great drift angle, tone is spot on, and the body has no ugly textures, very smooth and clean. I'd definately say this is one of your best updates. Poor photographers

Thanks, call me crazy but I like the RS200 too not because it killed many people but I like the idea behind the car you know to be a true rally bred monster. But thanks about the 2nd shot I like that shot too.

Sorry for the double post but here is an mini updater before the full update

Tell me what you all think

Ouch that pic is hot!! I cant wait for the rest of them!!

p.s my carlton update is coming on soon

Right then here is my update I have spent 2 days preping this pictures up for the pleasure of you guys. The photos have no theme they are just a mix and match of photos from a race in the British GT Series but enjoy!

TVR Shots

And my favourite shot

This is a new beginning for me as I am now using Photoshop to my advantage and not just using it fro Brightness/Contrast ans Saturation. So what do you think?
Enjoy!

Looking much nicer from the previous photos. You have some nice angles on the Aston Martin shots. Some of the Aston Martin shots could use alittle more contrast though. The car is grey so it really needs some contrast in the photo. However now that you've stuck your finger into the photoshop editing pool you have to go all the way. I still see some jagged edges around the wheel wells of the cars and in other places. To eliminate this problem just choose the smudge tool on your tool pallet and set the intensity to 6-9%. Then simply run the smudge tool over the jagged areas and it should smooth them right out. Don't over-smudge it though because then you will wind up with a blurry mess. Try that technique along with the newly adopted ones and you should create some killer photos.

Done it on one shot. On this I have mainly focused on the wheel arches as they seemed the most jaggy so what do you think.

Please tell me what you think and if possible any ways to improve my clean ups as you can see I am not overly skilled in the art of clean up.

god, i hate reading about things like this. one thing i'll never forget was that footage of a rallye in spain, an amateur one, this one guy overshot the corner, and the car flipped, and he hit a lot of people too. so damn scary. another unforgettable one is the footage of a Le Mans race, when a Mercedes Silver Arrow race car crashed and the car blew apart, and you could see the engine landing on people on the grandstands. a lot of people were injured and killed, and the race was stopped, and mercedes pulled out of motor racing for a while. oh it was scary...:(

anyways. back to the updates :D they're great! like the colors on the TVR, and the aston martin looks good, just the clean up like u said. i suggest experimenting with the smudge tool and perhaps the blur tool. learn how high to set them up. i use gimp, and when i use either one, i dont go over 10 percent. patience is a virtue when doing a good clean up. and remember, a little blur or smudge goes a long way :) goodluck and hope to see more from you soon!

Thanks Tommi2000 and jgda9rs I value all your comments. So the more the merrier! I will try what you said j9da9rs probelm is I always feel rushed when I am doing a clean up. as for the blur I really enjoy doing them now.

The newly clean DB9 looks much better. You may consider cleaning up the lines on the car too. By lines I mean the gaps in the car (i.e. where the door meets the rest of the car). Try cleaning those up too. Remember to take your time!

Thanks Streetz. The next bunch of photos will be a joint project with Tommi2000 a very good photographer in his own rights we are doing the photos as a big project invcluding the Ford Focus RS, VW Golf GTI MK5, Audi S3, Honda Civic Type R. This will be cleaned up!

Thanks speedster:)
NOTE
These photos will be posted on speedsters gallery

Lovely update! These are getting better & better, I love your work, but I have a tip, use a bit more contrast ;)

The db9 shots have really nice angles. The one from the side in motion looks very nice.

If you like to improve more. Less pictures so you can edit them long enough to make sure they look good. It's just a matter of time, but you also need to have a good eye for taking the pictures in GT. A bad foto can't be much improved with PS.

Cheers

+rep for the effort you put in this photo, it's really nice and also for that TVR preview shot. 👍

Thanks. I think the reason why it looks so good is because I love that car which oftens makes you more determined to get the car looking good and I think it has worked. Also thanks for the rep as I am all ways happy about getting rep on my posts!

Sorry for double post but didnt want to edit the one before hand.
Just thought you all would like too see a sneak preview of "The Big Test" that me and Tommi2000 are doing. So here is the sneak preview of the Big Test.

"The Ford Focus RS has horrible acceleration this put me off at first but then it met its best friend.....the corner and then my opinion changed...."
