SpeedART- Birthday Update!

I knew the Focus would win the fastest time, but I'm with y'all, I'd much rather have the golf any day.

And about my comment about the suspension on the second Golf shot, I said it looked like it had really loose suspension because the front of the car was dragging the ground, or it looked like it was.

Anyway, Very cool project and idea you guys came up with.👍
I see you have the same opinion on these hatches as me and Tommi2000. It wasnt down a straight away with that picture of the Golf it was under heavy braking at the first corner of Laguna Seca. But thanks.

Well i am totally not saying your guys opinions are wrong, just giving mine. I think the wet circuit must have had something to do with the acceleration, you can not enter corners as fast as usually
I wasnt saying that your opinion was wrong or right and I dont want to create an arguement. I agree it was unfair to test a FF car on a wet circuit.
But thanks. Here is a preview of whats coming up soon.........

And much more...enjoy!

Nice updates I have to say. Good you wrote a bit more on these cars then on the first one. Also the lap comparison at the end was interesting. Go on like this.

cheers

Wait until you see the next ones if you like longer reviews. In the "Super Duper Cars" project I am doing that is full of writing. Nice to see you here though! :)

I have been looking through your gallery and you have some quality shots in here and you have improved alot since your first shots. great work, keep it up

You have been improving alot speedster, I have been checking out the updates between the beginning and now and the difference is very big. I see you play alot with side angles and blurring the wheels and background, just keep at it and eventually, you'll start practicing on other kinds of blurs as well 👍 What I can see though, is that you haven't blurred the complete background. This is due to that you've selected a little of the background all together with the car as well. Cutting out the car must be done with care, this is the beginning step towards a cemplete picture. What I'd suggest is to select more of the car so that a part of the car is also blurred but try to keep it minimal because afterwards the whole background will be blurred and the parts of the car you've selected as well should be so small, you can't see it anymore. Get what I mean? If you had to blur the lower part of the car and the background, there is no shadow, select only a millimetre or so of the car as well. You won't notice those parts being blurred as well but at least the whole background is being blurred 👍

Just keep up the good work buddy, don't worry, it does take time to get good, behind 440 CHARGER's materbrain is 10 years of Photoshop experience  Just to give you an example ;)

I would just like to say you have really made this update one to never forget!
👍

Thanks Ultrashot it honours me to have you here in my gallery. I can see what you mean with the blur I havent quite pefected it quite yet but the more practise should make them better. Thanks for coming here.

Thanks Tommi2000 I believe this is probably my turning point in my photogallery and will hopefully become more professional as the months stroll by.

After the brilliant success of The Big Test I decided to have one more update until the "Super Duper Cars" update. The update I decided to choose for the filling the gap between the two up dates is...........
BMW M3 GTR AT EL CAPTAIN

The sun shines upon the BMW M3 GTR

And a thumbnail of the enlarged picture.

Enjoy my update guys all comments are welcome!

I think there's some you could've cleaned up more but apart from that, brilliant! Silver cars don't generally work good in photomode but you've captured it perfectly!

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I still can't believe the reception I have had for the 350Z preview shot! If you keep pressurising me I will delay my "Super Duper Car" update and put up the 350Z one instead !

Thanks NTX good to see you around here after you completely thrashed me in that competition. I completely agree about the BMW thing. You see I had just won that car I thought it looked cool so I decided to take shots. Probelm was I didnt want it to appear as if I was driving at a race track so the perfect place to take it to is El Captain. Personally I am still stunned at the results of some of them. Thanks for dropping by.

Here is just one more preview to tease you all (Evil Laugh)
I must warn you though although this shot looks like I have pasted it in I HAVEN'T

Enjoy my preview!

speedster502 I never get tired of reading your stuff, Its about time someone changed our eyes direction other than GT4 pics :P
Thanks, Does that mean my style is unique? I am hoping so! Even when I look back at my first pictures some had some great potential in them but.......I deleted them off my computer so I cant edit them . Thanks NissanGuru I will be sure to check out your gallery.

Your M3 Shots are great, the colors are so strong in them. I like your 2nd and 5th the most, but I like all of them alot.

Also your 350Z shot is excellent.

Sorry I havent been around at the moment been addicted to LFS :) . So before I dissapear again I thought I would post some pictures yes they are of TT but I may throw a couple of GT4 pics in the mix.

Kents Honda Accord

See you guys around! Enjoy!

yeah actually, is TT worth the money? Is the gameplay worth it? I reall ylike your shots, though alot of your pics tend to be a bit to motion-istical. Please check my gallery :D

I laughed quite a lot at the last TT shot. First shot is great!

Here we go after 266 posts in my gallery here is one of the updates which may or may not be remebered (hopefully the first one). Yes thats right after several weeks of preparation it is here. Here is a clip to get you in the mood of this whole update really. Click Here So there is the mood setter and here is the full version............

After the thrill of “The Big Test” with the small hot hatches I thought I would embark on another test “Super Duper Cars” this included cars from 3 different continents from Europe the Aston Martin DB9, from the United States of America the Ford GT and from Asia the Honda NSX-R.
All the cars met up at Brooklands for the first challenge. The first challenge was which looked the best we where tempted by the pure adrenaline rush the Ford gave but the DB9 aced this, I mean just look at it I don’t know anyone who thinks the DB9 is ugly. Sadly the NSX-R wasn’t even looked upon as beautiful in this challenge. It just sat in the background no one even laid an eye on it.

After this meeting at Brooklands we scrammed as we had over stayed our welcome. We went on a trip to another continent……. Japan. Now we could have gone to any race track even Nurburgring but we settled with the cheapest to rent which was Fuji Speedway 90’s track.

After we arrived one of us was told to go to the airport to pick up a package……The Stig. Immediately after his arrival at the race track he seemed attracted to the Honda NSX-R the only way we could tell was he was making funny grunting noises at the car so we threw him the keys.

He was gone we only saw flashes of him every 2 minutes or so but he didn’t stop for a whole hour. So he obviously liked it then. Then we had a go….. And surprisingly I liked it. I wasn’t expecting it to be good but my god it is. The first thing I noticed was the noise it sounded magnificent it was a deep loud sound that echoed around the cabin. As I drove along I started thinking more of the stats it is a 276bhp V6 and the main question that kept rising was how this is a super car? After all it has the same horse power as a Subaru Impreza or Mitsubishi Evo 8. To me it seemed like a bargain after all it was the cheapest out of the lot and was very, very nice to drive. It never hinted at any understeer but was prone to slightly running of the track but that was probably my fault. This car exceeded my expectations by far.

By the time we had finished with Honda, Stig had finished with Ford GT so we hopped into that and went off. What we have always liked about the Ford GT is its retro styling and power crazy engine (Out of a pickup). But this was a different machine to the ones we get in the UK it actually worked. One thing I noticed was this thing is very, very quick. This was our mid range supercar as it had a V8 and was between the engines of the Aston and Honda. It is also the middle of the range price at only Cr.148, 880 it seemed like a bargain with the most horse power as well (550BHP). As time went on though I found to become almost bored with the car as it after a couple of laps just didn’t want to play any more. Then when I took it down the road off the track I couldn’t settle in it, the ride was hard and under steered too often. I wasn’t disappointed just stressed with Ford as I know they could have made this a mile munching machine that was power and fuel hungry but they missed out on a opportunity to save Fords name from being “Mondeo Man”.

I pulled in after the Ford GT because I was bored luckily the Aston Martin was back. I quickly hopped in this for a couple of hot laps. One thing I couldn’t get over was that it drives the way it looks …..Fantastic. I was impressed. I knew it is the most expensive out of the lot but less than 10,000 more than the Ford. Yes it has less horse power than the Ford as well but who cares? We saw earlier that you don’t need horse power to be quick. It may have rolled in the corners a lot but it gave it more of a feeling to the car. After 5 laps I and the DB9 were getting on fine. It was responsive, sharp and elegant. Now I have to say I am a bit bias towards a car from the UK but I know who isn’t……The Stig.

After all our pottering around Stig had finished, here are his final times.
Ford GT:-1’34.194
Aston Martin DB9:-1’38.207
Honda NSX-R:-1’45.647
Did this change anything? No. I was still loving the Aston, NSX and GT. So what was the point on doing this? Well……ummmm. I suppose that we now know if you want a cheap supercar go for the Honda, if you want a power crazy supercar go for the Ford and if you want an elegant supercar go for the Aston. Simple….. I think.

Enjoy my long update!

Great shots, the third Aston shot rocks! +rep for this big update.
