Hey OB, Of course you know we do really try and make the entire club happy but can't do that always. very tough for the planning committee/management team to put together a race with terms that EVERYONE will agree to. I don't recall the last event but I believe someone still raced it even though the requirements didn't work with their specific tune. So having said that, I'm not trying to come across negative in any way at all so please don't take it that way but more so for you to let me know which terms you don't care for. For all we know, there may be more guys that think the same thing and if that's the case, it may be that things change in the future as we're always open to input from you guys. we're certainly not perfect so we do appreciate your input.

tarkus1, I want to know what OB thinks is wrong with the terms too, seriously, I am curious.

Current terms, format:

a) Given a specific type of cars to choose from
b) Given a specific track that we are going to race at
c) what's allowed and what's not
d) a whole month to tune, learn, practice and prepare.
e) practice session on race day
f) qualify session on race day
g) race

what's wrong with ^it..???

Real car racing, ie F1, BTCC, WTCC, DTM, JGTC are all like that....

Hey guys, I'm going to withdraw from the DTM race. I don't think I'm up to it.

Or is because you know your 3 seconds a lap behind the people who know how to race any car. or in that case

I just looking the replay I save from last night, I found one thing are nobody said anything during the race or between the race.

Hey @Obelisk, I can't make it to the DTM event but would love it if I could. I would expect my finishing position to be around 13 or 14 & I reckon you're at about the same level as me at GT6. You win at some things, I win at others, the Spinning Arrows guys generally beat us both when they really try.
You do make a lot of challenges & then seem to change your reasoning on things when questioned too closely. I see your challenges as encouragement & I'm not sure that you need to look for so many excuses when you lose or that you need to gloat so much when you win. I enjoy the idea that a group like this can have rivalries & jovial banter while remembering that the whole reason that any of us play GT6 is to have fun.

As a fellow Spinning Arrow who won't be at the race; I really, really hope that you will do all that you can to attend, learn from, & most of all, enjoy, the main event. Remember that every race you do makes you more experienced for the next one.

If it's an endurance thing & you have any trouble with the length of the race then I'm sure nobody would hold it against you if you took a break in the pits. Winning isn't everything.

See you on the track soon. 👍👍:tup:I

well said buddy, there's always only one winner in the race but how you learn and improve makes you a true winner regardless what position do you finish.

I remember when we were doing that 60 laps Suzuka GT500 race, I got put into Team Lexus.

To be honest, it was the least favorite team among the choices. Team Nissan got filled right away, follow by Team Honda. By the time people still asking if they can join Nissan or Honda, we're still offering seats.

I was a bit hesitate with the Lexus too cos it has the least flashy car in both real JGTC and GT6, in fact the handling was opposite to my current at that time(GT-R).

I said to myself, "what the heck, just learn this car and tune it and do your best."

Hard work for a whole months, you can ask my teammates, Manny & Tjger, how many hours we spent on track tuning and testing, plan out the strategy etc etc....

And OB buddy, I can tell you hard work will pay off.

We finished 3rd, 4th and 5th in that race. Behind the winner, who is a GT Academy candidate, 2nd place simalive, whose the fastest guy around here.

That is a result we never thought it could happen but it happened!!

What I'm trying to tell you, it maybe the least favorite condition, but the process is what's the most meaningful and enjoyable.

What you learn is the most useful.

To clarify the DTM thing: I'm a really fickle person. I tend to jump around but I'll most likely attend the DTM race.

Don't be a prick, Gordon. If you could just stop blasting me for five seconds maybe I'd consider going through with it.

The experience at STTR has given me a new view on the DTM cars, so I'll take a stab at tuning the Alfa again.

Edit: I didn't get any of the email notifications WTF
