I actually have to agree with you on that photo...Where is that even from, anyways?

Yeah, I probably never saw that show...

Anyways, dawn rises on a new day of racing for everyone here. You guys have fun with your races and everything!

So, funny incident in Forza 5:

A friend and I are practicing driving with the Ferrari 458 at Spa, and this happens:

Me: Hey, this car drives really well!
Misses the corner at Eau de Rouge and wrecks in an epic way
Friend: And then you get to the corner.

Ok, Gentlemen.

As we begin our shift towards Project Cars and Gran Turismo 7. Most of you have started formulating plans for upgrading your driving equipment.

For those wanting or have the Thrustmaster T500RS. Here's a link to the support section at Thrustmasters.

http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=3&fid=15&pid=317&cid=12

If you scroll down to the middle under the Playstation section. There is info of the T500RS' and PS4 driving games. Project Cars is listed.

The wheel will not support the share function. You can use the PS4 controller to use that function.
So don't be afraid of your T500RS wheel being outdated.

This has been a Project Cars news update.

LOL - maybe we keep SAC GT6 specific for the time being seeing how none of that other sht is light years away......
We have 500s and 600s to prep as well as a SAC Main Event to concentrate on!!!

Audi Team Phoenix sucks it in and welcomes smcinnis into the fold as their sole announced Daytona 24Hour entrant.

Because no other team can afford the insurance liability coverage....

Other drivers beware, tire smoke WILL be in your face as you attempt that record breaking lap. Please avoid all spinning blue and yellow objects at all costs. Team Phoenix will not be responsible for damages caused by its representative "drivers."

Good day sirs.

so some days are good for presenting ideas...
some are bad days...
you just never really know...
BUT -- I have a spanking great idea that I'd like to present to SAC for consideration....
I know this plan is a disaster for me as I have no chance of success - but perhaps this could be fun and not interfere too much with our REGULAR event calendar...

MY IDEA:
I propose THE 2015 HEADS UP CHALLENGE.
The idea would be to field a bracket of 16 racers.
Their seeding would be based of finishing position of our Daytona Main event. (or just random perhaps)
The bracket will be a "heads-up race" where each dual will be scheduled and happen between the designated racers based on when they can do it. (each dual would be their responsibility to race in a reasonable period of time)
best of 3 races -- winner advances. loser is out
We'd do a one make race with a set car on a set track
car and track would change each round

but we could get our participants / seeding off of this month's main event...
(or any other way for that matter... The poor 16th seed racing some alien isn't that great of an idea either... so maybe using the main event isn't a great idea) I'm just spit-balling ideas...

Seeing how the individual races will happen between just two racers (plus any onlookers) they can happen whenever and not interfere with our normal event schedule.

I would be more than happen to take on coordinating the bracket / races / results / designation of cars and tracks to race etc...

just throwing it out there as I'm bored at work...
I think the results would be fun to see as well as develop some fun as we connect with each other individually outside of our normal group setting...

but this way we can see who the best heads up driver is!!!!

what say you SAC??

yes but with a little more exciting sales pitch...
how did I know you'd be the first to jump on it!!!! lol

I'm actually down for this, it sounds like a brilliant idea.

On a side note, tjger's taken me off of his friends list so I may be unable to attend depending on the lobby restrictions.
It'd be a shame, I spent five hours prepping all of my cars for it (except the gt86 lol)

I fully support your idea(s) and anyone else who has ideas similar to this.

If you guys get the opportunity. Look around in this section of GT6 Online Racing.
There are other Spinning Arrows Club members doing the same thing. Both on different days and different times.

So join them or ask them for assistance in making your idea(s) even better. 👍

I would definitely be game for this Tournament of Evil. Just curious about these brackets, how would you set them up? An idea for based on the Daytona results maybe something like this?

This thing looked better when I typed it out but hopefully you get the point, kinda separate the odd numbered and even numbered finishers.

Another thing we could maybe do for the events such as a casual night or main one make event is turn it into a sort of Time Rally. Seeing as there are I think 9 events in the upcoming one (just an example) we could call each one a stage and then add up the times for each driver. I'm pretty good with excel so I could just do the calculations on the side between events or just take a picture of the results if it's pretty fast paced between races. Then at the end of the night, or later on the forums I could give out the results. Obviously least time would be the winner, but you could track your progress unlike a real rally where you're separated completely. I might set it all up for tomorrow night just to see how well it would work. Thoughts on this as well guys?

image.jpg Well folks the wheel is installed! Wow what a learning curve! Took me an hr of struggling but got wheel settings to my comfort zone. But still had a massive moving pedal issue. So dont tell my wife but i straight screwed the pedals to the floor, and bamo! They work fantastic, and its so weird having a stiff brake pedal. So i am pumped for tomorrow night!
