I disagree - with as narrow as Suzuka is - EVERYTHING will require a skilled driver at this PP range...
With as much hating as Arveena was doing on the Ford GT last event - I had to test his 1:56... The VERY fast Team Vodka Ford GT was struggling to even enter a qualifying time.... But managed 1:58s on a few laps...
I had to modify my favorite tune to even come close to being stable enough for a qualifying time......

So...

Perhaps a 2nd opinion is needed before you conceed a 3sec difference - on a side note I would love Arveenas help for future Ford GT events I wish to participate in as my favorite and most familiar car is bested by 4seconds
???

(I say all this as a non-participant, as I won't be running this race...)

But Tjger if you're going to make changes make sure it's on complete car / driver / tunes for this track... Yes the Ford GT is nimble and has some downforce - but this is a unique track and maybe it's the vodka but I'd check with our MEMBER Alex before we start thinking 1:56s are a consistent time for this track...

this car is faster... that one is slower... this one is easier and that one is difficult....

i lost because you have a better car....

man..... let's turn on the boost then.....

set it to strong....

and i'll try to beat you in a Prius

hahaaahaaaaaaaa

jk... don't do that tjger

I know. The faster, more prepared driver won. So everyone wants to pick on him.

I was hoping for a serious battle from Team Vodka's star driver at Spa, but it didn't happen.
A sort of repeat of Lemans from last year. One Ford GT has dropped out. What a shame.
I had big hopes to running against Ole, but like at Tokyo, he dropped out again.

What would the President of Vodka say of their star driver?

Got crushed at Suzuka in the last GT300 or GT500 race - whatever it was - I can't remember - I try to block it out....
Hate Suzuka... Sorry...
Too easy to get spread out and I dont wanna run 2hrs by myself if I get outta the mix...
Will take the month off from the Ford and focus on other vehicles and learning Silverstone...
We shall meet again if not on the main stage in another setting... It is assured... I will miss the potential for glory and action no doubt...

All I was saying was that Arveena, who does not participate in our causal events, or daily forum interactions, or club betterment, and only pops in sporadically for main events, was quoting a fairly aggressive time for a car I'm familiar with and don't believe to be a consistant benchmark... And I am, as a non-participant of this event, with Alex as he says... Just drive

Sorry I won't be participating - just taking a break from the class!! Get the GTR and the vette back in the mix - they have been under utilized - focus your efforts there....

I'd MAYBE run if you could entice me with a competitive GTR??

Let me know if you wish to continue with this challenge ??? :)

There were at least 3 people who saw me doing a 1:56:1 with a nearly stock Ford GT and i was tired as hell only changed Transmission.

I started Tuning the BMW and I am down to 1:58:0 Eh did also a 1:58. (Complete Suzuka Tune)

I tested all the cars with little to no setup besides Transmission.

The GTR for example i gues would make a bigger leap with a proper Setup than the Ford atm at 2:01

Viper is also strong 1:58 without doing much to it. Wil try with a Setup the next few Days. PTK also did 1:58.

Btw it doesnt matter who drives the cars. Im pretty sure everyone else will get the same gaps.
If you do a 1:59 and a 2:02 or a 1:56 and 1:59 does that matter?

Also i am only participating in main events because I need to talk to my boss to change days after a race. I cant do that every week.

Ole is getting ready to put his racing suit on.
Team Vodka's President has a few words to say about their star driver. :irked:

Could it be he will drive for the beloved Team Corvette? Ole and OB? Yes, Yes, yes,
Could he sign with Audi? Booooooo :yuck:
Could he swallow his pride and drive for Ford? Naaaaaaa No way.

Stay tuned for the exciting announcement.

This I got to hear? Oh, wait. I'm the one typing this. LOL.

Im ok with making all cars equally good. The only issue is once we go down this road it needs to be done for each event(track change), the performance will have variations depending on where we r. It is hard to make all the guys happy in these situations. So that beeing said lets all be patient and let the boss decide how to handle all this drama. this has been going on since daytona, but good things take time! I have a feeling some guys will get but hurt, some will get happier, and some will have no change at all? Lets just all have some fun because if we dont the only fix will be one makes for life!(i like one makes hehe) tiger i will try to do my part and shoot u some times if i can get on tomorrow night???

👍👍 Kudos for that Tjger always delivers. And i dont think you need to do it for every Track. Just look how close the field was in Spa and how close it is now. With 1 exception to the Top and 1 to the bottom.

That's the main goal. Have fun yet get a taste of the serious side.
I wish I could put together more races, but it will burn everyone out. Once a month is all I ask.:(
I wish we could drive every car in GT6. Won't happen. That why we have Casual Nights.
Use it and have fun. ;)

Gran Turismo 7 is coming along with Project Cars.

This'll be interesting. Team Corvette awaits you, Ole.

Anyways, ran the Vette offline with no wear and hit a 2:01. Rough guess at 2:03 to 2:05 in peak conditions in Tjger's room.
