Actually I did leave the drivers seat on stop no.4 and locked myself out for about 5 minutes. Fortunately one of my smarter pit crew members pointed out that the window was down and all was well. Well except the extra 5 minutes lost of course.
So to sum up my last event:
1. Stop for tires every lap (estimated 5 minutes lost)
2. New wiper blades (estimated 1 minute lost)
3. new stereo install (and they charged me extra too) (estimated 15 minutes lost)
5. locking myself out of the car (estimated 6 minutes lost)
6. Pulling a boat around the track (estimated 8 minutes lost)
so if my math is correct and I delete all the time lost from the above, I would have shaved 35 minutes from my time. Now since I was about 2 minutes back of Arveena, my newest estimates put me in the lead by about a half hour (give or take a few of course).
yep, sounds right to me.
1) Drive in reverse. it could decrease the tires-wear significantly. (and your vette will be much more tail-happy)
2) Remove the blade completely and use Rain-X lotion instead. (Save weight too by removing the whole windshield wiper module)
3) Hook up the bluetooth headset with your smartphone. ((Weight saving)
4) ops... you don't have a (4)
5) Don't use keyless entry
6) Next time pull a fighter-jet instead, thus you also have an option of using the extra boost on the straight. (btw, next race is Monaco)
hope it helps
