Well Kevin, it was one heck of a race.
Yeah, I think everyone came away with an understanding about what makes Lemans what it is.

Battles were fought both at the front and back.
Pit stops played a bigger role than I expected.

Yeah, so what's the plan now?
Get a job.

?? What.
I don't know about you, but I'm sitting over there next year.

Yeah, sun is going down and 365 days to go.

How's everyone been?
Hi Mac,
Good to see your still around. Too bad you couldn't make the last event. It was a doozy (at least that's what the guys up front are saying). Right before the race started, someone attached a trailer to my Corvette and I ended up pulling a 27' Bayliner around the track all race. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ok, gentlemen.

Aug 28th we travel to Suzuka.
GT 300 and GT 500.

Question. Both races at 20 laps would amount to roughly 40 minutes of racing.
Do you guys want to race both classes or split them up and make each one a little longer on two separate nights?

I prefer keeping them as proposed as I usually do better in the shorter events.

Oh, you must be one of those "Sprinters" I've heard talk of.....
well you know how I am with tires! That's another thing that held me back in the last event. I had to stop every lap for new tires. I also never should have let my pit crew talk me into getting new wiper blades but it was the new car stereo I had installed that really cost me time.

I'm glad you didn't lock yourself up with the new alarm system...

I am ok on either race, but do we want to do two races on the same track or we can pick a different track for the GT300 class.

Actually I did leave the drivers seat on stop no.4 and locked myself out for about 5 minutes. Fortunately one of my smarter pit crew members pointed out that the window was down and all was well. Well except the extra 5 minutes lost of course.
So to sum up my last event:
1. Stop for tires every lap (estimated 5 minutes lost)
2. New wiper blades (estimated 1 minute lost)
3. new stereo install (and they charged me extra too) (estimated 15 minutes lost)
5. locking myself out of the car (estimated 6 minutes lost)
6. Pulling a boat around the track (estimated 8 minutes lost)
so if my math is correct and I delete all the time lost from the above, I would have shaved 35 minutes from my time. Now since I was about 2 minutes back of Arveena, my newest estimates put me in the lead by about a half hour (give or take a few of course).
yep, sounds right to me.
