I would like to make a request of the BOSS. After the race is done and everyone has gotten a chance to save the replay. I would request that the BOSS set the room down to 5min.(I think that's the lowest setting on an endurance room) and we get all the participants of the race to go back out on the track for some photo opportunities of the group and maybe have 1,2 and 3 line up for a shot for the newsletter (remember the newsletter?) What do you guys think?

Love it!! I just check the minimum time limit and is only 10 minutes

well the doc has cleared me to race....

I have passed my drug test and they have found no performance enhancing products in my body...
now to decide if I need a drink and if I should add some performance detracting products to my body...
.....to level the playing field of course

2 HOURS TO LEMANS REGISTRATION

I think I need to wait to write my post race comments and observations...
Such great action
I'm still a little shell shocked...

Great race you put together boys - I was glad to be a part of it....

Arveena:
The trophy is being FedEx'd to the engravers in the morning

Hopefully the race was just as enjoyable for you guys as it was for my Team.

Right now my vision is still blurred from the champagne and the podium celebration. :ill:  :gtpflag:
I should have some photos posted by tomorrow night. Hopefully Manny can capture the excitement too. He may shorten it, but either way there will be plenty of high lights to use.

Next week is Casual Night.:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
I should have that schedule posted soon. Soon after the Boss checks it out.

June 26th is so far planned as our final Tour. The Tour of the US. 600 PP US road cars five tracks. More on that to come.

Then we will gear up to all race cars for the Tour of Japan, Europe, and U.S.

August 28th is scheduled as our Super GT races at Suzuka.

I just got a call from the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
He would like to know if we would bring our Lemans Main Event cars to his track and run the same format. 💡
What do you guys think?:drool::drool: :crazy::crazy:

Yes our fun will never end. For now relax.

Yes that would be fun.... Maybe as teams? Team Corvette ( Chevrolet ), Viper ( Dodge ), GT40 ( Ford )

I will try to up load the video as fast as i can... after watching the replay i have to say that Arveena did a really great job at the end. There is so much going on up front that i don't even know where to start and how to start!!!!

:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: :indiff::indiff::indiff::indiff::indiff::indiff::indiff::indiff: :crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy: :boggled::boggled::boggled::boggled::boggled::boggled: :ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch: :ill::ill::ill::ill::ill: :confused::confused:

The Race was Awesome.
From my point of view:

Quali was a perfekt lap for me. I forgot to save it maybe someone has saved it.
First Part of the race was nice. Got a comftable lead and pulled away until the first pitstop.
I realized i did not buy Racing Medium so i needed to switch to racing hard. Stocker was clsoing in but the gap was big enough. But for the fact he was closing in i did a mistake an spun out damaging my car and resulting in 2 other spinns
I changed tires after 4 laps. and was 57 sek down. So i needed to do 2 more stopps.
With 4 min or so remaining i catched stocker and started to save fuel.

After i realizied we would get another lap at 1min i go in for a splash and dash hoping that stocker runs out of gas because i did 6 laps 4 laps and 6laps and he did 5,5,5. I only tanked 10 litre and pushed like a madman. He runs out of gas LRLR runs out of gas. as soon as i see LRLR and want to take the lead.

I ALSO RAN out of GAS because 10l wasnt enough. but i keep the speed up until i pass LRLR and finshe with 80km/h
Meaning that if the race would go 1min longer the viper would have won.

I will take picture for you guys at the nationals on the nürburgring and wish me luck for it.
Have fun at the next casual night hopefully my mic wont randomly rutn off itself anymore.

All in all great Race.

What a great event we had last night. I send my congratulations out to our podium winners and a big thank you to those that showed up and made this a fun event. I feel pretty drained this morning but, can't wait to get home and check out some of the replay from last night. Fun,Respectful,Intense competition is what makes this Club what it is and that's because of the good group of people that Tarkus has brought in. Big thanks to our host, Tarkus and a big round of applause to Tjger for the great event he put together.

I slept like a baby
I have taken some time to process the events of last night on my hour long drive into work, where I had to drive much MUCH slower than last night...
I found myself a little disappointed....
disappointed that its over...

A few months ago I had never raced one race online and now I was able to become wrapped up in an event online with some good dudes... its been a fun little break from normal life... Im really enjoying you guys and the events the S.A.C. puts on...

Honestly, I really was nervous that some high powered cars on a fast track for a long time would result in lots of spins and damage and questionable driving... man was I 100% wrong and was so impressed with how tight we were able to run and how respectful everyone was (at least from what i could see in the groups I was running in).

In 4-5 different 1 hour long race practice sessions I did - I never ran out on a 5 lap, pit, full fuel, 5 lap, pit, full fuel and then finish 6...
So I was a bit crushed... but I ran her hard running down McLarens for a good chunk of the race and fending off tiger there at the end I guess...

Arveena - clearly had the best laps and ability to get the power to the road - so congrats to him, any other result would have been an upset.
Stocker - you saw my qual laps and know what the FordGt has under the hood but I couldnt gain on your lead throughout... For the last 1/3 of the race you held 15sec and I was pushing and clean... Not making the podium does not reflect your solid up front running all night... I cant wait to watch your replay.
Tiger - you exercised your game plan to near perfection... hanging back, waiting patiently... had to be hard to do that because when you were keeping it in line you had speed and could close and I was getting nervous... I had some fun laps trying to keep you out of the draft... nice podium
Alex - had a tough car to pass
I don't know - EVERYONE did great and hopefully had a great time even those that were forced to throw a car together at the last second - hopefully it was still fun for everyone...

so a big kudos to everyone and the race planners...
sad its over, but I'm glad I can get back to my life for a second...

restore rigidity: -$500,000cr
Rebuild engine: -$450,000cr
carwash: -$50cr
podium at my first S.A.C. main event = $PRICELESS

:cheers:Ahhh, just to let you guys know.
We're still at Lemans. My team over partied last night.

I think I'm the only one awaakee.

As soon as ALL of us sober up......ahhh
I will re read eveyones comments again.

Ohhh my head.

I did say next week was Casual RIGHT...?

I just got a call from the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
He would like to know if we would bring our Lemans Main Event cars to his track and run the same format. 💡
What do you guys think?

I think a lot of us have had some SPA experience with the GT Academy and I would be down to take on that course!
I do think it will be a lot more technical and troublesome - which could add a bit of excitement...
After seeing Arveena's GT ACADEMY times I'm not so sure it wouldn't be a race for the other 2 podium spots... but hey, I'm down...

My vote again always will be for these tightly controlled power / weight restrictions to get these cars competitive... Nothing was greater than taking 4 laps to make up 7 seconds on someone just to have to battle them for a few more to try to find that opening all while needing to get every last ounce out of your ability to get it...

I still think a dual class event could be interesting if we did it right... We did get somewhat separated in that the front was racing the front and the back was racing the back... It could be sorda fun to throw in some faster cars and have that element...

bottom line is - this last event was fantastic... I'm down for doing that again and again at any PP level GT300 cars, GT500 cars, do these cars again, LMP1 cars will be a challenge for me, but I thought this last race would be too... Any class of cars that we can get within a tight tuning window would be great + the time for us to all comply with limited exceptions.
All other variables - I'd be 100% ok with and would just need time to prep...

I have a few elements/ideas that I've read other leagues do - but I'll not bog down the page with them - I can get with the race coordinators to see if any are appropriate to sprinkle in... I think sometimes you can over complicate things as well - so if it aint broke don't mess with it

can I ask a question.... how did the controller guys do for 1hr of intense racing?? any hand fatigue issues??
How did that go for you guys....
I think that may be helpful information to know when deciding the length of future main events...
I was great after an hour... a little relieved and took a deep breath - but was feeling ok...

I know that a 90min event or even a 2hr event may be a bit long if someone is out of contention or using a controller...

just a thought:
I wouldn't be opposed to forgoing practice sessions and qualifying sessions (as the starting grid didn't do a TON to help or hurt anyone) and possibly if we wanted to do a longer event maybe do an hour... give out points based on leaderboard and then a 15-20min break... then another hour....
give out points again
and then top point guy is the winner...
???

I guess you could have a tie - so maybe total time maybe would be a tie breaker or maybe combined fastest lap time of each session and that could be tiebreaker or something
but this would allow those that made an unforced error to possibly have a chance to run with different cars in a night/event in a different session

just talking outloud again.....

but tuning those cars was fun and that hour seemed like it would take forever - but really went fast...

racing 5 lap races seemed almost gimmicky afterwards - I'm digging these longer races...

Hello guys!!

nice race last night, BIG THANKS for redo another qualify thus I can join the race.

I finish work at 8pm thus has to rush home, was wearing my dress pants while racing

very very nice race, I could see tail of tjer's butt at the end but was too far behind. :banghead:

would like to join the next race..!!!

Ole
its hard to compare Smirnoff Vodka to Grey Goose Vodka if you've never had Grey Goose....
Your "top shelf 240hz display" is something I have yet to be able to enjoy, see a difference and justify...
I'm very happy with my set-up but I am not overly critical as some...
I did decide to pay the extra for 120hz even though 60hz displays are way cheaper... as I do believe the gap between 60hz and 120hz IS more noticeable from research I've done (YouTube video comparisons etc...) I did look at 240hz in my research to see if it was necessary, and some research others have done made it seem like it was only a small improvement.

I would YouYube 120hz vs 240hz display gaming
and see if you can get some visual help with your quandry

For me medium shelf vodka suits my purposes just fine and am very happy with my buzz!!!

one thing that I will point out is - that even though my 3 monitors are the same model number - one of them was a A2 instead of a B1 model like the other two... and the color temperature difference, the black levels is different - so even though its the same tv with the same specs just a hair different version - it can be challenging to get your colors calibrated so that it doesn't look off.... mixing monitors and having different quality displays would be more bothersome to my eye than if a car driving fast has a bit of motion blur
Cool thanks Im not rally critical either I just happen to have the option with the tvs ive collected so I mostly am just hearing what people think/experience before I buy, I obviously would rather go the Hitatchi route due to cost bu since im 2/3s the way there for either kind I figured I research a little. The LGs I haggled from HH Greg since they were returned and had no box/manuals I took both for 1/2 off each carry out. Again thanks for input and nice setup enjoy it.

You guys are trying to get inside my head with these GREAT ideas. 💡 Which is good and bad.
Good, because of the great feedback.
Bad, because may find things that are just .....

For now promote the club and it's fun factor.
Also watch the replay and YOU guys pick the moments that you remember most.

:gtpflag: Also if you guys get the chance. Watch JUST one hour of the real 24 hours of Lemans this weekend. You may recognize or relieve last night's action.

on some ideas:

we could have some different series with specific car:

F1 Circuits (Suzuka, SPA, Fuji, Nuburing-F1, Monaco) with GT3/GTR cars.

GT Original circuits (Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Apricot Hill...) Street cars with restrictions.

Circuits on Demand (chosen by votes/suggestion) Cars varies.

Well we're all glad you could make it Alex and it will be a pleasure to have you back next week. that will be a full casual race where we select a PP limit and we all vote on the track and go at it for about 5 laps then move on to the next. Although, Tjger will most likely be selecting the PP's and some misc one make races ahead of time. The last one he did worked great.
