Next question.
How do you guys want these Main Event races presented?
A. I throw completed planned race(s) on the table and you guys pick.
B. I put together an idea and you guys tweak back and forth until everyone is happy. Could take a while
C. You guys come up with the races. tarkus1, stockerace and I will tweak the details. Could take a while

In the end. The BOSS has the final approval.
That is why the spinning Arrow Club emblem appears before the official Announcement Sheet.

Now you guys understand why I did what I did. Once the Announcement Sheet is posted. There's no going back. There has to be a point where WE say. "The rules have been set, Let's race."

You guys decide.

I really like B cause you know how to put a good race together!! It may take a while but im sure it will be worth the wait :)

Hey tarkus1 & tjger a PSN friend would like to participate... His ID name is holandio60 he is a clean driver and told him to check the page for the rules and to send both of you a Friend request. Hope he can be part of this event.

Kevin, Kevin, the car is gone.
Wo, wo, wo slow down.

I took a ladder and peeked inside the aft troop door window. The car is gone.
Alright, It can't wonder off on it's own.

Hey, what's everyone running down the hill?
I guess they never saw a car parked along the wall.

Naaa, take a look at what's on pit row.

Ha,ha,ha there's your missing car.

Manny, I received an FR from him about a week or so ago. Hope he can make it his week.

excited for tomorrow... The FordGT is at the track as we speak... So I may throw a few practice laps down tonight after work, if people are around let me know....

We're all thinking it so it probably doesn't need to be said, but I'm bored at work - so I'll type it up and say it...
I'm hoping that we've had equal time to learn our cars, learn the track, learn our lines, and learn where our mirrors are located. This is a long awaited race and many have put some time into prep...
I know we have a very respectful group... but my wish is that I just hope we all try to impress each other with our respect of the driving line and that we have practiced with our mirrors and overtake respectfully.

Its going to be frustrating with cars of equal performance, but patience and safe driving will win this race I am 100% sure of it.

Sometimes our other events are a mad dash to the finish line and making a squeeze play is necessary with the suicide dive bomb... but my wish is that we all can have a great night of racing tomorrow and be proud of how we ran weather it was 8th all night, 8th to first, or wire to wire....

but I'll be spending one more night prepping tonight if someone wants some rear view mirror practice -- let me know!!

1 DAY TO LEMANS!!!!

Hey Kevin, what's up?
Not much. All the teams are doing their traditional photo ceremonies.

So that must the Team Viper section?
No. THAT'S the McCarthy Racing Team's fan club section. They follow the team everywhere.

So what section are we in?
The Honda Fit section.

So you're saying the cheap seats?
Yeah.

How many seats are in our section?
Just these two.

Ok, gentlemen we are now 24 hours away from our Spinning Arrows Club's Main Event.

Our one hour version of the famed 24 hours of Lemans. :gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag:

I don't know what you guys have decided. So best advice is to check in as early as possible. 8:00 PM EST
Review the Event settings and prepare your team and car.

2.5hour free run with Stocker and Tiger tonight
please benefit from my notes:

1. set up a fan
2. don't drink
3. don't really overly plan on winning
4. do expect to be dripping wet with sweat after the race
5. if you think you are over thinking the race... I guarantee Tiger has overthought the fact that you are overthinking that you overthink that you should overthink the race, but it still wont be enough as he has outthought how that will benefit him, should he be able to figure out what are all the ways that your outthinking the variables could effect others, and therefore him...
6. hold your line - whatever you do... hold your line
7. use your mirrors, your mirrors will be more important than your tires...
8. put a post-it note on your TV to remind you to record and save the session - I guarantee you will want to! There will be epic battles you will and will not be part of and will want to see... guarenteed
9. plan on getting a good night sleep tomorrow after the race... you will be spent!!
10. LEMANS IN 22 hours boys

thanks for the good run tonight boys.......

See you at car registration tomorrow @ 7pm CST / 8pm EST

^^^^ Agreed. ;)
Tomorrow I will challenge each and everyone one of you in more ways then you can imagine.
This race will not only be about fuel and tire management, but driver discipline.
Something every driver must posses and respect.

Knowing when to push, pace, or be patient.
When to pressure the driver in front and when to defend against the driver from behind.
Knowing the limits of your car and the outcome of a bad decision.

You will understand the limits of the track and why.

You will be tested both mentally and physically.

In the end we will all be better drivers and prepared for what I have planned next.......:eek:

If you find yourself chasing my Viper. You have done something wrong. :nervous:

Good Luck to all.

Hopefully that doenst happen. Audi has a lot of luck the last few years. Thats the third major crash and everytime the driver is more or less okay

I choose not do anything last night just watching all the replay I save to relax and spend times with family watch 24 (season 2 tv show)
Tonight we will have fun, stay on your own line:yuck:

Ole
39s actually... probably a bit overkill - but once your brain gets used to all the chaos flying around in front of you - its sweet...

3 39" Vizios E390i-B1 LED 120hz
Fanatec gt2 wheel
Clubsport v2 pedals
the Fanatec sequential shifter
Human Racing seat
Buttkicker BK-GR Gamer 2
Logitech Z906
curious do you get any kind of blur with the 120hz. I was looking at mabey 3 screen setup but need 1 more tv. I got 2 55" 55LA9650-UA 3d led tvs that are 240hz ultra hd that i love the picture. and I also have 2- 42" Hitatchi plasmas that are 120hz that are pretty good picture wise also I asked because the big difference I see is the LG plays anything crytal clear dont matter how fast it moves across the screen only problem is I have a delay in the ps3 between controller and console. I hope that can be fixed. The Hitatchi has no delay but watching some sports like hockey and baseball and some camera views of races thre can be a blur with fast moving objects especially a baseball the hitatchi has a blur when the pitchure throws the Lg you can literally count the stitches on the ball. But I love the plasma color better than the led since the plasma is more natural looking for now at least untill OLED tvs are out and a little cheaper. So I asked because Im not sure which route I might go and you have a nice setup just wondered what you thought of it after playing on it. Any input or feedback is appreciated.

its hard to compare Smirnoff Vodka to Grey Goose Vodka if you've never had Grey Goose....
Your "top shelf 240hz display" is something I have yet to be able to enjoy, see a difference and justify...
I'm very happy with my set-up but I am not overly critical as some...
I did decide to pay the extra for 120hz even though 60hz displays are way cheaper... as I do believe the gap between 60hz and 120hz IS more noticeable from research I've done (YouTube video comparisons etc...) I did look at 240hz in my research to see if it was necessary, and some research others have done made it seem like it was only a small improvement.

I would YouYube 120hz vs 240hz display gaming
and see if you can get some visual help with your quandry

For me medium shelf vodka suits my purposes just fine and am very happy with my buzz!!!

one thing that I will point out is - that even though my 3 monitors are the same model number - one of them was a A2 instead of a B1 model like the other two... and the color temperature difference, the black levels is different - so even though its the same tv with the same specs just a hair different version - it can be challenging to get your colors calibrated so that it doesn't look off.... mixing monitors and having different quality displays would be more bothersome to my eye than if a car driving fast has a bit of motion blur

showed up at the track already...
its a beautiful day....
track looks pristine
Doing autographs and pictures
no one has asked for mine yet
.......mainly just asking for pictures with the umbrella girls

Don't feel bad, same thing happens to me. Talk about feeling unappreciated!

Roughly 6 and a half hrs till all hell breaks loose and the Spinning Arrows start hitting the track looking to take a spot on Ole's prestigious trophy. Hide the women and children, well hide the kids at least, here we come. Good luck to all the drivers/teams participating tonight. I think that this will be a very fun and competitive battle right to the wire. See you all soon. (work can't end quick enough for me)

I would like to make a request of the BOSS. After the race is done and everyone has gotten a chance to save the replay. I would request that the BOSS set the room down to 5min.(I think that's the lowest setting on an endurance room) and we get all the participants of the race to go back out on the track for some photo opportunities of the group and maybe have 1,2 and 3 line up for a shot for the newsletter (remember the newsletter?) What do you guys think?

I like it. Plus consider this is only an hour race so we shouldn't be pushed for time. Besides, I have the best looking car anyway!

^^^I hope not, I cant take it...
5x more laps
and 5x more cars
I'm going to need 5x the deodorant

some of the stands are beginning to fill...
I'm assuming mostly fans of mine...
they appear to be drinking...
this could get roudy.....
also
most of the walls have been repaired and magnets reinstalled after last nights "testing" of their power and structural integrity
