Looks like I'm missing some fun!! Haven't been around much with work, vacations and such. And I let my brother borrow my PS3, so I haven't even logged into GT6 since forever. Maybe he will get his own, or I can wait till xmas to get him one. Either way, hope to see you guys soon and back to watching Tarkus win every race.

Sorry guys about not really keeping you updated, we just haven't fared very well for one reason or another so I just didn't really post about it. Yes we competed yesterday in the race, qualifying went well but the race went south in my stint because my router decided all on its own that resetting was a great idea. It's likely we came last, but the official classification isn't up yet.

In other news, Mr. alex, are you involved in a B-spec series? I found this while scrolling the PC and Console threads.

Update on our most recent GT4 effort: We came 6th in class is the short story.

Long story: we started in third position in class, and with me being in the car I was able to run there and 4th for most of the stint. Until, I had a bit of an off, then a heated battle with the black BMW which led to a spin and a consequently damaged wheel. Very soon after that the biggie, kaput, my router decided about 40 minutes in that resetting itself was the best plan of action. So we lost 8 minutes of track time, which turned into approximately 5 laps, more on time lost later. So I get back in and running again, but in my angry/frazzled state I spun again. Realizing I'm becoming useless in the car I may or may not have committed a couple violations of the Highway Traffic Act to get our second, yet very excellent driver into the car about half an hour before he was scheduled to be, @Hayden norris thank you, yet again for that. He goes and has a cracker of a stint and beats my best lap, which probably meant he was faster on average too.

So in total we were credited for 137 laps run, this is the bit where I talk about our time lost. My 8 missing minutes being approximately 5 laps on track puts our hypothetical total up to 142, bear in mind the winners did 143. Now there's a slightly wonky system for laps being credited in the event of a disconnect, but I understand the reasoning behind it, anyway, I was coming to start my 27th lap when kaboom, but because of the aforementioned system we were credited with 23 laps being completed in that part of the race. So add the 3 missing laps plus my 3 spins and an unnecessary pitstop by me, and we've won the stinkin race at 146 laps completed.

So I really say that to not get us all down on the series, there were driver errors on my part, but the foundation is there, I think we can put together some solid stuff for next year if we grind off the rough edges.

Bad luck & mistakes are just things that can happen. I know that a lot of work goes into the series from everyone involved including the drivers & team managers.
It's great to see the name of the club where we all meet, scrolling across the screen & being involved in the series. Especially with that news that you guys had enough pace to top the class.

Thanks for doing it!

Its only a matter of time until I'm the single human driving amongst all aliens.:(:nervous::(
Don't worry pet (that's a local term for me that can mean anything, including "friend"), I'll race you at the back. I hear there's a heat of the FGT races coming up.
Since race 1 at Silverstone, I know most of the guys have been getting faster since then.

I've been getting much slower. I don't know if I can make it this week but if there's a practice room open in advance, I'll need to use it.

Either way, I'll be happy to race at the back with either Tarkus or anybody else.
