All, please make sure to check out the race live and support our racers.

Here's the thread where you can read what the teams are all saying.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/3rd-annual-gtplanet-london-12-hour.340895/

The GTP endurance events are incredibly well run, all by volunteers from the site. There's a professional feel to all of it.
My hat goes off to @AJ who is behind everything & all the team managers, drivers, stewards, commentators & tech support. Impressive stuff that gives virtual racing a whole extra dimension.

right after the one hour mark the PSN crashed... :irked:

now all the teams and drivers are in the track-side diner..... having some fish&chips....

edit: i tried to introduce them the legendary-tasty BBQ-Pork but seems they prefer deep fried halibut better..... oh well.....

Was that in commentary?
If you know what time it was, I'd love to go back & hear it.

It was during the introduction as they were doing sort of the team run down.

great job guys good to see alex and squatch run decent missed all of eh team and wtf man run so no clue how they did but them crazy disconnects :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I had a mostly consistent run, and a few good battles. The guys on the youtube chat weren't exactly kind in their comment on us though.

Yall were in like 9th or so when I left for the store about the same time Alex handed off to eh team, I got home and we're last and lost like 90 laps to the lead in the 2 hour period, 3 hours once they updated with hour 11, I really like to see the final standing once they are posted. Usually anytime they talk about the team was about warning penalty and disconnects.

Yeah we didn't exactly have a spectacular race, and it's really too bad because Alex got us to 6th before the first massive lobby meltdown. After that I managed to get us up to 4th but about 5 laps before I was set to pit I got disconnected so we lost a bunch of laps to that. Everything just sort of went downhill from there after. Although in my second stint I managed to run a 52.4something which was better than most of the field, so like Red Bull last year we had pace but no luck from the evil internet gods again.

Thank you for all the support guys!!

12 hours is not easy and we make it!!

Overall, it's too bad the PSN caused so much problems throughout the race with TONS of disconnections, thus the race was interrupted so many times.

About the race itself, I say it's kinda bitter&sweet, it was fun at some points because I had quite a lot of actions/battles with other drivers, nice and clean driving, but on the other hand, lots of mistakes by myself where I think I spun out 4-5 times from all my stints, which to me, it's not acceptable... but it was fun and oh well, it's racing....

On my 2nd stint I ran into one of the opponent and I tell you, I have the worst luck when pairing with him....

First incident I got sandwiched in a 4 cars group, with one of the opponent on the front, race-leader at 2nd (whose lapping us), me 3rd and the lucky-star right behind me. Went into the 2nd corner I have to slow down alot cos the whole group got packed up by the one in front, then I got bumped from the lucky-star, damaged one of the tires and I have to pit!

Some laps later I was behind the lucky-star, about 6-7 car-lengths apart and he spun out on turn-1, his car sit side-way on the track, I try to avoid him, moving to the right but he also head to the same direction..... trying to avoid a crash I got myself on the grass and I lost all the traction, BANG!! hit the front then bounce backward, then some other traffic pass by, damaged 2 tires this time.

2nd pit stop and I was so pissed-off already, then the race director decided to add some icing on my cake by giving me a 2 mins penalty!!! :boggled: Maybe it was from that incident....

Couple laps later I couldn't concentrate no more and for the best to the team I handed the driving duty to EH_Team 👍

The battle was fun, I got some pretty fast laptime on my 2nd stint, and very consistent laptime otherwise.

But with all those mistakes... I will only give myself a 6/10 on this race.... ;)

Sorry for the long post, I hope you guys enjoy the race as much as us!!:cheers:

I agree I thought there was a good shot a podium for you guys I don't get how stint photos and that stuff work but it seems to screw some team in every race this time most likely us lol.

Alex I think your penalty was from that 2ND wreck bounce off the wall and it looked like you reverse back onto track into the leader up by turn 2 according to YouTube crew and by what I saw

Good job to all the drivers and we'll get them at the next one

Yes, I believe it was from that, but I wasn't even in reverse at that moment, the car was just bouncing out from the fence, I saw those 2 cars in the mirror after I was able to make a complete stop.

oh well......

At the start I got bumped at the 2nd corner and dropped to 13th.... not bad getting back to 6th before the PSN crash...

Now that I'm approaching a 500 car garage, have all the 20million credit cars & have more than 20million credits in the bank, I've started my latest project. It will stop me from having to use the Stockyard, at least for now.

My idea is to go through my entire garage & put some kind of tune on all of my cars.
I'm using tunes that I can find on GTP & not bothering to test them straight away. That way, whenever I go into to the garage, I know I'll have something worth trying out for whatever race is coming up & I should be able to bring the variety back to casual night.
Not that we've lost all that much variety up to now, but I think you get the idea.

Last night I started applying tunes to all of my Hondas.
I noticed I had the car that EhTeam & Mazda (I think it was those two?) both used as a 550pp Race Car last week & I had a drift tune on mine. I bought another one in a different colour & applied a race tune.

I have some duplicate cars on purpose with 2-3 tuning tabs used on each. I think I have 2 WSR Senna F3's, 2 Formula GT's & 3 BMW M3 GT3's.
Some other duplicates are in there that I don't need. I already had most of the cars that have been given as Seasonal Event prizes & selling those duplicates will free up some space for me to stay under 500 cars.

I'm just rambling on at you all about the game here.

What's everyone else been doing in the game recently?
I know for some of you it has been working with the endurance team & for tarkus it has been not getting chance to play much.
Any GT6 stories from around the club?

I haven't done much in the past month, but recently I've started working on setting up a club for drivers of various disciplines and to that end I've been grinding away and buying various cars so I can make balanced classes.

Off topic, can anyone think of a rock song that'd work with a GT video?

Well, I'll be officially participating in the Daytona 24 hours next weekend. We actually beat some GTLM teams so we're 7th overall on the grid.

Team name is Tarmac Overdose Racing.
