that's one thing I love about this group is that everyone is always open to helping others.

Let me check if I've got this right.

Tonight is casual racing, mostly with any car within the pp limit which varies from race to race between around 400-500?

There are also races for the Honda Fit, Racing Kart Junior & a car that you've owned?

I hear it's recommended to get a buzz on for casual night?

That's a relief. What is the current time EST? So that I can convert. My guess is it's somewhere around 12 hours till race time?

We're usually running around 7cst / 8est.
The room usually is open 30min ahead of that for testing, watching, talking, but lately just making sure you have a spot on the grid.

oh dear my...there are so many asians... I love me some asians..and there short whooo *ahem* I'll have to investifate further when I go to testing sessions this weekend lol

I'm gonna put the pic of the hottest pit-babe on your dash, in order the avoid the same kind of battle I had with you @ Suzuka last week!!!:lol:

I'm debating if we should(my room) hold a short 30 lap practice/race session this weekend.
Kind of a mock race to give everyone some more data to crunch.
Play around with tire/fuel wear.
Give our pit crews some practice time.

I will suggest next week, this week is kinda rush. :)

I have my cars for tonight, very excited. Hopefully I'll be able to find the room quickly enough to get a place from the start. Any word on which circuits we'll be racing on?
Also, in real life I've never owned a car. Mrs Bridge used to drive an MR2, would I be allowed to use that?

& do we need specific tyres for the races?

Edit:Forget that part, I see that it's any tyres.

On Casual Night. I post some PP numbers. The BOSS hits the 'vote for track' button.
We grab our car, do a few practice runs around the track. Make a few tweaks, then the race starts.
You pick whatever car you want. You tune it however you want. There is no limitations.

The races are only five laps.:cheers:

Yeah I may wait.
I would hate for mazda3pro to miss out.

ADDED: I'm sure if not this weekend, probably next weekend or during the coming weeks.
For now I would suggest running your own private race. Then when we gather you can compare your numbers when there's more cars around you.

sounds good.

another idea is gather the data on tire wear and fuel consumption, therefore you have an idea on the length of different stints with different tires, then you run a simulation with different strategy thus you kinda know how will the race will turn out when you start with a particular tire compound.

note: a simulation race doesn't need to be 30 laps, it could be 30, 40 or any numbers up to 60, if it's lower than 60 laps, I will suggest a lap-numbers that ends with the stints.

CAD$0.02

Lap numbers that end with stints. What kind of stints are you planning?
Right now there four different possible stints. That's for one car.
So three cars X four different stint scenarios = 12 possible laps.

60 laps divide by 12 possible =.....5 Hmmm, 5,10,15,20,25,etc.

I think 30 is fine.

The reason of different than 30 is because you may be end up on the last 1/3 or 3/5 or whatever laps to go with that stint when you reach 30, thus it will be difficult for you to calculate what stint to run after that.

You could, just run 2 or 3 stints in the simulation, most likely you will reach 30 or 35 laps, then you have a clear vision on what to run on the next 25 laps.

Remember, this is just to give you a general idea on how the race should run, strategy is a variable on the actual race since it depends on your position and the actual situation.

The possible scenarios are endless. :ill: :nervous:
You and your pit crew will have to juggle what's best for you.

My girls have a plan in place and the surrounding borders of my TV are filled with their post-t-notes.
There's also a huge wrench hanging above my head.

It's what they call. 'A driver realignment tool.'
