NOTE - this thread is about PvP penalties and SR deductions in Sportmode. Not off-track or other self-inflicted "solo" penalties. Those are what they are and at the moment I think they are not a problem.

Currently all penalty complaints are burried to Daily Race -thread, and there doesn't seem to be a contemporary thread for this. Still the PvP penalties are propably the biggest defective aspect holding back the Sportmode currently. We all know how they are either non-existent or issued to wrong drivers. I would be interested to find out where the logic/code makes the mistakes resulting in a needed penalty not issued, or a penalty not deserved issued. In a perfect world someone with game design/coding experience could enlighten what kind of coding clauses could or don't work.

I hope PDI is listening. 😉

Keeping the opening post clean by double post. This is a case of penalty not issued and SR deduction issued to wrong player. For backgroung - this was completely clean no-contact race on my behalf until this happened at the end of the race. As you can see I even withdrew from the pack to see what evolves, and as it did I got past these guys completely clean. Then something very clearly penalty worthy happened, and the issue wasnt just no penalty issued for the dive bomb / forcing off track, but at the end of the race I was the only one with SR deduction and these guys were both blue SRs..

It might be helpful, from the beginning, if the posted replays in this thread offered multiple viewpoints to better understand how it looked from the players' perspectives. Obviously, context would need to be included also.

One thought about this case in particular, you mentioned SR red and blue... But this one incident isolated wouldn't be the determining factor in the players' post race results. If your dive-bomber was clean 98% of the race except for this example in your replay, then it stands to reason they would still receive an SR-up.

Just a couple of thoughts. Good potential for a new thread, however!

Yes - blue is very much possible after this as no penalties were issued. The weird thing here was, that I had a clean race other than this incident, and still got a "red SR". That cought my eye..
