He pulled off onto the grass in front of me on the last lap just before those last two right handers and then disappeared. So he didn't cross the line on my screen anyway. He was going slow the whole last lap anyway since I closed from like 4 seconds back to 1.something when he disappeared.

So he must have ran out of fuel and didn't finish, so thats why he didn't keep his spot. If it happened another way im sure he will let us know?
 
Yup... I ran out of fuel 300 metres from the finish line. I knew race was over, position would be last and as far as i know the program mentioned 2 races. I never heard about a third, I never saw it in page 1.
In a positive manner, I truly enjoyed last night as most of the crowd has same pace as me and if it wasn't for a small incident with blueboy I could had finished a little ahead on race 1.
Race 2 was absolutely amazing with me and ipecac having this bumper to bumper battle for almost 10 laps until my tank went empty two corners before the finish line.
Great event, great group, awesome racing night.

The last race was reverse grid from the previous race, so you would have been on pole. You had the pace to use the other cars as a buffer and likely turn that into a win.
 
I was surprised by the third race too. I was ready to leave after race two. Glad I didn't. It pays to read the whole thing. I loved the cars being so even in different ways, Ipipoopoocaca and I battled for a while, he would catch me in the corners and I would pull away in the straights. Bear and me too were back and forth for a while.
You know, I don't mind finishing near the back. I know, I will probably never win a race so the fun for me is having someone to tangle with throughout the race. That's why I don't take qualy as serious as some, I would rather start at or near the back to give me more of a chance to not run laps by myself. 13th to 7th in a race is an accomplishment in itself and a whole lot more fun for me.
Points? ...........I don't care about no stinkin points says the guy near the bottom.
But, damn, that was a fun night.

It says right on page 1 that there are 3 races. Fore-warning now for next week, there are 4 races for points. Be ready for lots of action.
 
Well, call me a blind dumbass but yeah, I didn't see it. Lesson learned for next week... It's 3 races and don't go easy on gas. Another 10 litres makes no difference! :irked:

Yeah, I'll go ahead and host tonight. The main testing I want to do will require some host swapping to try and work around a pit bug. Also maybe gathering some lap times for different cars. After that we can do some crazy stuff... I think more guys need to try the Saubers @ Monaco. :D

:guilty:Sorry gang:guilty: i never intended on missing last night but after dinner i came down with a migraine, and if you suffer from them like me you know what its all about :banghead:. I was in a dark room with an ice pack for all night, the second i looked at any light it was terrible, so for me gaming was out :nervous:. Plus the second I would have heard Colts my head would have exploded :lol:. So basically i laid in bed all night until this morning. So not much of a Cinco de Mayo drinking night for me since i mixed a drink after dinner and it was still on table this morning when i woke up, thats alcohol abuse :crazy:. Maybe i can get on tonight, or tomorrow :confused:.

Sorry bud, hope you're better today. Colts was behaving himself last night, maybe because there wasn't a big audience to play to. :lol: We had some fun, and thats why we do it. Might be around tonight. :cheers:

@mphile77 .... Besides the 13-20plus lap (endurance) races on race nights are there any races with shorter laps say perhaps 5-7 or 10 laps tops to accommodate those of us lesser mortals with less patience or not that amount of time for endurance races per night sessions that take up 2-4 hours?

Hi David, If you look at page one we have some series racing we do which are usually only a 20min-30min long races, but we will do multiple races on those nights to keep ourselves busy. We also run some fun racing on Friday nights as well which contain a bunch of 5-10lap racing.

Cool thing. I did check out the first page and pondered but wasn't too sure as I got the feeling most were very long time-consuming races. Thanks for the clarification. I'm interested in joining your group. The Friday nights intrigue me as well and the time zone is compatible with mine.
