Ok time and weather has been updated for rnd2 @ Imola. It will be a cool damp foggy morning race. Get ready to adjust those tires and tweak them setups a bit! I would say it feels a bit greasy out there, so it should be no walk in the park at all. This track is very demanding at times and will bite you when you least expect it to happen, racing tight here will be dangerous. I suggest you all start practicing together in packs and start getting used to being around each other to cut down on miscommunications the best we can.
Now an idea that was presented to me by samsung is we attempt a self made rolling start for the race. So basically lights go green and we start off slow in formation, then we parade lap around the track and go live at the stripe. This could be very easy or it could be very hard if guys dont pay attention to what we are doing!
Another option I thought of is regular grid start, but you must hold your position into and through turn one. Why you ask, well guys are jumping the start with no penalties maybe, so there would be no zig zagging at the start spinning each other out , then pointing fingers at each other.
I really dont want penalties on for these races, it takes away so much from us! I dont care if a corner is cut here or there, it happens and i trust we are honestly not doing it on purpose. Plus avoiding a collision often results in a penalty by going off track, we dont need that as well, so i want penalties to stay off , but need everyones help to make this happen!
I want everyone to read this over and think on it, give me your opinions ? Im sure internet speeds effect each other a bunch, and maybe we all see some stuff differently so keep this in mind! Dont put yourself in a position on track with a guy you havent raced with and dont know like the back of your hand, back off and save yourself and it will pay off in the end , trust me! Same goes for the guy in front, if you lose a visual on attacking car just assume he is aside of you, hold your line and figure it out on the exit of the corner. There are so many things that can add up to a crash, i chose to drive on defense and it works for me, so give it a shot and be less aggressive while in a pack and results will follow gang! All these above options would be for future events, most likely not this series.
Hope everyone had a great new year
