Standard cars and PS1-era cars that deserve the Premium treatment in GT7

Since we have Lancer Turbos in the game, update the first Lancer turbo.

They need to bring the Mitsubishi gto twinturbo 96 to gt7 with full premium treatment, its sad to see this never got that treatment and its so iconic for the gran turismo franshise,
Never got? There’s still a chance going forward, but I’d prefer the ‘99 model with the gigantic rear wing. It looks so devoted to being anything but a regular Mitsubishi, especially in red.

I like that one to and would be happy with either, 96 twinturbo is my favorite through, the version with the bigger wing, was such a beast in gt1, i do hope pd brings more of those back

Another four door sedan.

I hope I'm not reading this thread wrong, but i'm interpreting this as a thread for cars that were in past gt games but never got a premium version in gt5 and gt6. So cars from gt1, gt2, gt3, gtC, gt4, gt5 (standard) and gt6 (standard).
I have some cars I want back.

Mostly the music from the Pal versions of gt1 and gt2. Didn't realise the intro movie for gt1 uses a heavily remixed Manic Street Preachers Everything Must Go. So much better than the utter horse**** Kaz seems to like. Although I understand the music was down to Sony not being convinced about GT so using it to promote artists.

Cars:
Honda Prelude
Honda Accord
Honda CRX
Holden Monaro
Honden Commodore
Nissan Primera GTe
Nissan March
Lexus IS200
Lexus GS300
Renault Laguna v6
Renault Clio - this always had incorrect data details and model, the details were for the 2.0 RenaultSport and the model and actual game data were for the 1.6 rsi.
Renault Megane Coupe
Peugeot 406 v6
Peugeot 106 GTi, does anybody else remember this as being possibly the only standard model to allow a carbon hood to be installed in GT6?
Ford Mondeo v6
Ford KA
Ford Focus mk1
Toyota Carina E
Toyota Starlet
All of the TommyKiara models

The 80's Starlet (KP61, I believe?) needs to make a comeback. A small, lightweight, RWD hatchback, that would be perfect for a 4AGE (AE86 Trueno/Levin) engine swap. My roommate had a KP61 Starlet, and was planning on swapping a 4AGE into it (Had the engine on stands ready to go in), before life circumstances forced him to put that project on indefinite hold. It would make his whole year to have that car in GT7, complete with fully realized interior. Great little car.

Just in real world terms, it’s a shame that these cars are the last of their kind.

A 2024 Honda Civic is one inch longer than my 2006 Accord Euro. So it’s not like these touring sedans were too big. Yet, they still carry passengers and luggage with comparable interior space and in some cases more rear leg & headroom.

Anyway, including these past sedans in the game are part of car history. A segment that was bustling enough to warrant manufacturers stuffing damn near F1 money into racing series for these cars. Just as it’s been for Civics, Integras, which are hard to find in stock form, I’m seeing communities tap back into these twenty to thirty year old (sport)family sedans as they’re plentiful and their cheaper initial cost take kindly to (still available)modifications.

There's one car that I forgot to mention earlier. It's been a favourite of mine for so long that I didn't even know it was in Gran Turismo before. Now I want it in GT7 ASAP. It's the Fiat Panda!

I'll admit I'm very biased towards the PS2-era games, as I started with GT3, so I'll go from there if that's OK. These aren't in any particular order of preference, either, as I'd like to have all these cars added as premium models at some point.

My top picks for road cars:
1. Nissan Skyline GT-R (C110)
2. Aston Martin Vanquish (First-generation)
3. Nissan Fairlady 240ZG (HS30)
4. Jaguar XJ220
5. Lexus SC430

Top picks for race cars:
1. BMW M3 (E46) GTR Race Car
2. Toyota GT-One (TS020)
3. Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car
4. Honda NSX GT500 (JGTC)
5. Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II Race Car

Top picks for concept cars:
1. Nike One
2. Toyota MTRC
3. Dome Zero
4. Suzuki GSX-R/4
5. Volkswagen W12 Nardo

Of course, I could go on about some other brands I'd really want to see return, like Jay Leno and Lotus, but I admit this set of lists was mostly based on a whim.

I'd pay $300 for the game if the entire suite of cars from GT2 made a return. Like, everything. I want to drive a 100hp Civic.
I am going to counter with:
I'd pay $300 for the game it absolutely everything, cars, locations, tracks, colors, features, options, mods and new cars and tracks never seen before...
From every single GT games and version, from the first through Sport....

Take my money now Kaz and PD, and make it all in PSVR3 glory.
