How does the Team Oreca Viper GTS-R look?
Like crap, sort of. There's a slight improvement , but the textures need to be cleaned up.

The inside cockpit still sucks. If anything this car needs to be a premium for the price tag. I have it and love the car, but its a bit of a hefty price,

The beloved Volvo 240 GLT Estate is looking rather bad... mainly the headlights, tail lights, and plastic side skirt(you can literally see pixels of color)

That happens when you choose quantity over quality 👎

PD could have easily erased the worst looking standard they were not going to upgrade...

Well, not so much. It was upgraded, but only model and not all panels are separated. Textures are still horrible.

Maybe they're going to upgrade all of them?
That's quite possible. Didn't Kaz said some time ago that there wouldn't be any difference betweens standards and premiums? Currently there are still quite a few bad models in game so, maybe during the lifecycle of GT6 they are going to make them semi-preium.

I think he meant they wouldn't be treated differently when asked if we would be able to use them in photo travel, if I recall correctly.

Did they change a few of the seams, step back and think "Hmm that's looking pretty good now" or something?

But great work Mikhail K for doing all of these. 👍

Here's some standard car pictures I took:

The Audi R8 LMS looks pretty much the same as in GT5, which is not exactly bad as it was one of the better standards in that game.

I took 2 pics for the M3 GT-R Race Car and it looks the same like the other e46s.

The Opel Calibra looks very cleaned up and on it's way to full premium status

The Impreza Touring Car here also looks improved over the GT5 version, but not quite at the high detail level like the R390 or RS200

The Opel Astra doesn't look as cleaned up as the Calibra, I can still even notice some jagged lines on it.

Chevrolet Corvete C5-R; looks much better than in GT5.

BMW Mclaren F1 GTR; looks similar to the GT5 version.

Panoz Esperante GTR-1; looks quite improved from GT5.

Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak; looks like it was upgraded to semi-premium status.

My Peugeot 905 Picture, I agree; PD could've done better with the model.

A car is either standard or premium. At best a standard car has been touched up - it's still standard. This "semi-premium" term is being thrown around far too much, not even a true statement.
Semi-premium is between a GT5 quality standard and a premium. Don't see why it can't be a valid statement.
^^^ That.

In fact, some of the cars (Miata's) are full premium except for a missing interior.

I understand what people mean when they say it but it's still a standard car - no cockpit modelling (exclude the "unfinished" VGT MB interior).

By saying "semi-premium", I just think people are too accepting of standard cars - as if they are overly happy they are in the game.

Inevitably somebody is going to tell me that I should be happy that these cars are even in the game OR "don't play GT anymore". Just my 2 cents.
