Static?!

For a long time now, i've gotten lots of static coming from my sound card. No matter whats plugged into it, the damn static continues.

I dont know what happened, or how, but its pissing me off because i cant fix it.

Any ideas?

Check the volume settings in Windows and check all cables connected to your soundcard, inside and outside of your computer.

Yeah, i do but its not pluggedin.

I dont really feel like disconnecting the whole computer and screwing with cords that i dont know about.. So i think im just going to stick to what i have now. :\

Check that it's not the speakers. When you're checking the cabling, you probably also want to check the seating of the sound card in its slot - especially if the computer has been moved recently.
