First up I ran the Domestics. Ran in Practice Mode/tire wear on/real grip. Wanted to keep any online variables off plus it's easier to track times and run with a ghost. Used my usual driving mode no aids/ cockpit view/at. Set transmission with top speed at 162 with 165 showing upper left. B/B was 3/0 or 3/1. Sorry about the no abs but I'm just as consistent without ABS now so it shouldn't matter.

The Challenger's laps I got so I ran consistent low 1:24's. Three consecutive laps were 1:24.051, 1:24.055 and 1:24.010. It's a handful at Laguna, it took me a few runs to run consistently. Brake early! It's fast though-great sound. 15 total laps. More tire wear than the Chevy.

The Camaro took me a few to get going running mid-high 1:24's. Then I could knock off low-mid 1:23's with a best 1:22.999. A lot easier to drive fast but not nearly as fun. An easy ride. 10 total laps.

Oh, these are brand new cars with only an initial oil change. Skylines next.

I'm entereing those results in now. thanks for posting your 3 consecutive lap times.

Gave the two Skyline's the drill.

First the R32. Ran consistent 1:24's mostly low with a BL of 1:24.041. It understeers like I thought and took some adjusting on exit. Tuned this could hopefully be minimized and be a fun car. Looks damned cool with the big wing.

The R33 wasn't as nimble. Took me longer to get a feel for it after taking a half hour break for an errand. Similar feel I guess but I was consistently a little slower mainly mid 1:24's but I'm getting tired now. BL of 1:24.043. Then a 1:24.048.

So best laps all within one thousandth of a second with both cars. 1:24.04xx's. Both cars with some tuning should exit better and are very close performers at Laguna. Quick through the corkscrew. May try the RX7 tonight later.

Thanks NCR i'm entering those now.

DJ, I ran some laps offline after I left in the RX7. Same times as in your lounge. BL of 1:23.378. Others consistently in the mid-high 1:23's. Surprising-I thought that car would be faster. Was losing time in the corkscrew, it gets pretty unstable w/o ABS there.

edit: just checked out the spreadsheet. Most of my laps in the Camaro were in the mid-low 1:23's. Average would be like a 1:23.6xx.

So tuning prohibited for tuning right? And what is the latest list of cars?

Yuup!

Subie and evo are out. Trying the ZR1 and ISF Concept in there place. All other cars on the list are good to test

The TVR Tuscan RM '00 tops out at 611pp fully maxed w/o full aero. So that won't go as high as you want. Cool car though.

The Amuse GT1 Turbo S2000 is another possibility. However it's stupid fast and handles better than any car I've tried. 3 laps- 1:22.677, 1:22.573 and 1:22.480. That's fully stock with 557hp 92.6% limiter 1120kg. Really easy to drive fast, 1:21's I bet I could get with practice. An incredible machine.

Another car in that pp range is that weird Citroen Race Car but it doesn't really fit with the other cars. It's kinda heavy. That ISF Concept might work. I sure didn't like it stock. High End Performance G37 seemed slow. Maybe a nerfed Vette RM to round out the Domestics. There's a couple Z car Tuners but I don't think they'll hit 600. The HKS Evo, I'm the only person that likes that car plus it eats tires reeeeally fast.

We can try those cars out. The citroen is interesting. Ill be testing again tonight so if anybody wants to join me come on by. Ill be online around 6pm.

Average times at Laguna Seca. Which cars can be grouped together pretty reasonably you think?

I'm also going to try the GT500 Epson NSX. Its pp is right were we want it and its aero does not go higher than 40/65

Had a emergency and had to bail out. Apologies to anybody that may have been looking for me online.

I think the list is fine the way it is, I would strongly recommend not adding the GT500 cars into this category

Hey all. My new kid is probably popping out this weekend sometime. Doubt I will be making any STC events. Not sure who is up next. I think it is me. Considering, I wont be able to take my turn. I will ask that you all buy the Toyota 2000GT '67. Don't tune it. When I'm back and I'm up, that's what were running. Thanks.

^Congrats JT. New baby, big fat trophy-you're livin' large!

DJ, these cars are tough to even out. I know you wanted to have a mixed field but you could have a Spec race with a different car each week adding/detracting PP based on previous race results.

Thanks. And I agree with your PP/car proposal. Mixed class on track does look great and is fun, but hard to achieve. You need a good 4 hours solid to get it together.

Oh man.

Thats a great idea! Im thinking thats the way to go. 4 weeks 4 cars!

I say we go with the challenger, camaro rx7, and citroen race car. All fun cars and all meet the pp requirements

Sorry if i've been MIA recently. I've been thinking over the series and will be implementing some changes. I'll hopefully have the thread updated in a couple of days. Thanks for your patience and support guys.

All right guys I've updated the OP and scheduled the first event!

Please reserve your spot by posting on this thread.

Tuning or no tuning? Track?

Tuning is allowed and the race will be at Grand Valley REVERSE.

I've updated the event thread to include everybody that confirmed. Very happy to see everybody that signed up so far! Hope to get some more racers confirmed. I'm sure Logan and scorp will sign up buuuut maybe i should let everybody on the Miata thread now that event sign ups are taking place now?
