Well I downloaded the "fix" from Sony and will attempt to fix it this evening. If everything goes well I'll be on the starting grid tonight to show off my full size PP.....

Hope so!!

On another note I went ahead and pre-ordered GT6 from GameStop. Pretty good car pack that comes with the pre-order 20 cars I believe.

Next Thursday is the 4th are we postponing the race?

Damn logistics! Driving me crazy! yes we are gonna have to post pone. Thanks for pointing it out brett. Its a good thing to because i still haven't decided what we were gonna do next week..

Well the bad news is I can't get into safe mode anymore..... The future is not bright for the PS3 (cue the trumpet player to play taps...)

Oh man..... Don't give up. A guy who can operate a time machine can figure anything out. If you do show up, don't be showing off that full sized pp. I'm suffering from pp envy, Envy.

Dead, done, toast, kapoot, trash, boat anchor, POS,.....

Confirmed with Sony tech support...yellow light of death. I have personally tried to resurrect YOD victims in the past...not gonna happen. I work in the electronics industry and reflow thousands of circuit boards everyday. It's not a reflow issue, it's a POS issue...oh yeah, and crappy firmware updates. I may send it to Sony for the $100 service or I may drive over it.....currently I'm disappointed......

Either way, gentlemen have a great race tonight!!

Bummer man, but i wouldn't send it to Sony. I did that and was dealt another ylod within the year. Better off just buying a new one if you must.

See, see what happens when you use the pp inappropriately..

Odd race last night. I spent the last 18 laps alone hot lapping between 1 to 1/2 second behind BK and Red per lap. I assume they were both at 600? Looks like they had a good race. Apparently some Damage problems behind me. Jeez I had 2 last race, takes you out of podium contention instantly.

Poor RR couldn't even finish last for a pp replenishment! We'll see how the next race turns out but I'm not crazy about this format. I still think the only way to get a completely even field is to use DeadNutsEven Racing's format. There's a target time and you can't exceed that time in your practice and tuning. You aim to hit that time within a second or less consistently. I'm not advocating it for us as it's a time consuming process. Tuning prohibited is my favorite format by far.

Lots of good car choices for Deep Forest. GTR's, Evo's, STI's, Pajero's etc...

I agree that the PPR format is not perfect but I have thought of one solution.

If we ever run another PPR format series, racers will not be hit with back to back penalties or bonuses.

For example: RR would have got the penalty for the week 1 victory but not the penalty for the week 2 victory. If RR were to win week 3 he would be applied the penalty again.

Same goes for bonuses.

Btw I wrecked and lost a lot of time and robbed rr of last place. My bad RR!

i think i will be racing the C230 R time attack car. It maxes out about 623 pp but thats fine. Racers can choose to race at below their max pp limit.

I was at 600 and bk was at 595. Not a big difference in speed, only on the long front stretch. We had a fun battle. I was lifting on the front to keep us even. Though bk was quick enough on the rest of the course.
