Awwww, S_2 is my Race Pro setting! :(

Fine, fine, fine. :grumpy:

Edit- that is promising news, though. I'll check it out when I wake up much later. :)

Spagetti69 asked me to post the video here:

Credit goes to b3b4b5b6b7 on Youtube and his fix really works!

I am happy to report that it works. The game is pretty brutal without the glitch. :scared::lol:

I know, I was so curious that I checked before going to bed.

I does not really matter, which preset you use. You just need to switch from one to another ;)

Lol, I was just being funny. :sly:

Spaghetti, amend the thread title from a "?" at the end to a "!". I'm pretty sure it's a done deal until there's a software fix.

The handling is pretty brutal now, as I said. There is no linear interference, so you have to fight with the wheel a lot. It's sweet! 👍

How do I change the tread title. I can't change a lightbulb.
Any one know?

Done it.

Not the lightbulb though.

Good you found out, because I didn't know how.

I won't say it's completely different, but it's... pretty different. :P This wheel glitch must've been helping me a lot, because I went from "fairly okay" to "absolutely terrible". Behh, more work to be done. I'm pretty tired. I'll continue this after I wake up.

So, that should shut a few people up, right?

Well... Maybe not. I can see it. "So, I have to do that EVERY time I start the game up???!!! BURN, T10!!"

Let's be hopeful, though. :)

Err.. I may be wrong, but...

This isn't fixing any glitch, it's just telling you how to get the wheel to 900 degree mode properly.. we already know this.

The actual 'glitch' is actually present in the video from what I can see, which is when he goes to countersteer, it puts in much more lock then he's actually putting in!!!!

It mimics 270 degree mode but with 900 degrees of rotation. Which means it has speed sensitive steering. It does make counter steering 1 to 1 but then steering at speed has a much reduced sensitivity.

The more important point is, if it can be circumvented like that, I'd assume it wouldn't be that much of an issue to be fixed by T10...

I'm pretty sure you could get basically the same effect by just setting your wheel to 890 degrees...

But it isn't 1 to 1 at all... except during counter steering, which is sort of opposite the current problem with the 900 setting in forza.

Do you really have to shut the wheel off and turn it back on? Maybe i misunderstood since I don't see why you would have to if your just changed the preset setting from 2 to 1.

Damn you all... now that I was happy again (because of the steering aid) that I didnt have to spend money on a xbox... :D :D :D

:idea:Maybe its time to let my PS3 drop to the floor (break it) and tell the mrs we should buy a xbox because its cheaper.... not sure how to do about the wheel though

:P Saved mine from choking on her roast beef once, and from falling from a third floor deck another time. The credit from that sort of thing has lasted years. So, I figure what you need is this: Pull her out of the way of a runaway bus to get yourself enough credit for a wheel...:D

NA

I did that once and I still regret it up to this day.... a few months later she canceled the life insurance and theres no point pushing her down the stairs now....:ill:

Im just kidding I love my wife...

I can always say...
Its really your fault you know?

She was the one that gave me a PS2 - GT3 and a Logitech Driving Force when we got married 10 years ago...

Is that called an enabler!?! Yes! Totally her fault.

What the? She's your wife, just tell her to go make you a sandwich or something, then go out and buy what you fell like!

Like a boss!

I'd better make sure my girlfriend doesn't read this :scared:

Sure but
getting back in the house again would be a problem :nervous:

In another thread it has been mentioned that they are working on it, but that a fix need verification by Microsoft. But it is on its way.

Did they say all of this or is this just what we know already about how patches work on Live?

I did the trick to get rid of the assist. I noticed my ° in steering feels like allot higher number than before. I have to turn the wheel much more now to actually turn. I'm just not sure what exactly is going on. I had the wheel on 900° before and it felt much more sensitive than it does after the trick to get rid of the assist. For the trick I put my Set. 2 at 250° before i switched back to Set.1 at 900°. Can someone help me out with whats going on here? Was it wrong before when I was using 900° or is it wrong now?

I haven't tried this but it looks to me not to be what people are expecting. This feels similar to when , at least what I thought, was a glitching of the wheel in FM3 and other games where the steering wasn't quite responsive. I don't know, maybe it's the way I've been playing these games and expecting something different. I don't know. I have to really sit down with it and see. When driving in real life you kinda not pay attention to things and take things for granted. I'm going out later today so I will pay more attention to exactly what I'm doing. It doesn't help that my real life steering wheel and the wheel on these controller as different sizes either.

All that being said I really don't think this is what people think this is. I wanted to keep quiet on it until I heard some more about it from you guys.

It seems to me that I have never been using true 900° and now with this trick the wheel goes to a full 900°. Even my DFGT on the PS3 never had this much steering input needed but if I take my real life experiences this is more true to life but also much more difficult to drive since you have to turn the wheel much more. Just ran a few laps in the Zonda event and was about 1 sec off my fastest time after just a few laps but I have to work much more on the wheel in the corners however I am much smoother and get less wiggle out of the car.

Damn, thanks for running off and leaving me standing alone in the fight. I knew I shouldn't have trusted a guy who thinks there is more than one gear in an electric car. :) lol
So you like it now? I don't know. I'll give it a whirl in a few and let you know.
