Perma-surprise look aside, how much will Mini be inflating the price by for this generation? That put into consideration among other vehicles in the segment, I can't think of the last time that I've cross-shopped a B-segment car with one.

Dear Mini; please stop calling this a Mini. It just looks like a caricature of its former self.

I'll reserve final judgement until some eye-level photos are released, but for now...not good.

It looks cramped and bug-eyed, seems to me it's earned the MINI name!?

Seriously, so long as it acts as a cash cow for BMW I'm happy!

And, since Fiat launched the 500L, or was it M (M for Massive).. MINI will think they can get away with branding their own version of long wheel base RR Phantom now, nevermind MINI by Goodwood!

You know, I've actually eased up over time with the larger SUV-like Minis. The only different Mini variation I like is the Mini coupe. Most others are... still cool, just not like the classic Minis. The 2014 Mini doesn't look too bad to me.

Could have fooled me if you told me the first picture was one of those pull-back toys.

I hate front bumper designs like that. The front overhang also seems strangely long. Otherwise it seems fine.
The front overhang looks way longer than either previous car. Probably for crash standards or repair cost reasons. Everything behind the front face looks good but the face of it looks pretty terrible in these shots.

R53 4 lyfe.

Staright after WWII.

Y'know, back when they mostly made aircraft engines and weren't a huge car company like today.

I rather like the R53 and R56 Mini's, but this is actually quite sad. It looks as if it just saw its reflection in a mirror.

Staright after WWII.

Making lots of cars with undoubtedly nearly Porsche-level profit margins is going to drive BMW straight to ruin just like making several cars that no one was buying but were hugely expensive almost did?

Ewwww. Who's squeezing those taillights?

Actually, combined with the front, it looks like someone stomped on it. Once or twice.

Last week, I saw a Mini Coupe in a parking lot. It's about the only non-traditional Mini I like. It looked wonderful.

That gauge in the center dash lets you know the nearest star system, and if the alien's in that region are hostile or friendly:sly::dopey:

Oh and the three below are photon beams, light speed, and dark matter levels!

I really hope the interior looks similar to that in some way because it's awesome.

The MINI's interior was never functional, it was the least ergonomic car I've ever driven.

Part of its appeal I reckon. I sat in a John Cooper Works a few times and while not ergonomical it certainly looked pretty damn funky.
