:lol: My Sainz career hasn't gone well.

Spain home race - again crap track limits messed me up, no points
Monaco - grosjean read ended me, I had a huge deficit, literally back of te grid, and crashed trying to at least get some points.
Canada - on for the win, came up to pass the Ferraris who had stayed out. Came out of final chicane, approached turn 1, kimi goes for a move on seb, they crash (think of perez/massa last year) and guess what, yep kimi slides across and hits me.
Austria - in an awesome 6 way battle, get a puncture before my stop (tyres wore surprisingly quickly). Caught back up, came out of the 2nd corner, clearly had the line and seb clipped me :lol:

So I've gone from a championship battle level on points to 75 odd points behind :lol:

and I cant play PCars to save my life

But it's okay, as i'm looking good in the CRZ ;)

PCars is easily one of the worst racing games I've ever played. I feel sorry for those who kickstarted it to find they spent the money on getting the licence for Snetterton. It's not a bad track, don't get me wrong, but it's still a really random track to put in. None of the cars are fun to drive. Sure, I guess the whole 'realism' thing is that it's not supposed to be fun, but that kinda kills the idea of a Video Game IMO.

Well being a big BTCC fan I love having Snetterton, however like you said the main problem I have is the cars. Seriously, I cant drive in a straight line on this game. Everytime I try to accelerate out of a corner the back end comes round. I drove snetterton in a clio (TC1). The car was appaling, and that was a small, low powered FR thing. I'm struggling so bad with even being able to do a lap. I know its not me though as it was okay at the start.

Its nowhere near real life. I've thankfully never driven a car which behaves like that, otherwise i'd never have made it to the end of my street :lol:

The tracks themselves don't seem that great, either wide, some stupid kerbs which send you flying at 40/50MPH and so OTT graphics and layouts.

The AI is okay (not as good as F1 2015) and the only thing going in the game for me to be honest is having the british tracks :/

I drove that Clio at Donington and it just pirouettes no matter what I do going through Foggy S. It's a race car, with you'd assume slick tyres, yet it breaks traction every time you try to brake or steer and god help you should you accidentally do both at once. What a POS game. Seriously, Trackmania pi$$£$ all over it... No seriously, it really does... 👍

I'm trying to figure out where the likes of tyres, ABS, TCS actually are etc, there's a lack of description and they seem to be all over the place :/

I don't have the money and i'm afraid of not having the time. I don't like what GT Sport is about, but it's familiar. I want simulator, but I want the option to have a comfortable race. PCars seems like its tried to hard to be real life but have messed it up.

Assesto Corsa seems good. There are some things like having a temperature affected racing line with rubber/debris. There are things like that I would love when I'm in the mood to drive as realistic as possible, but I still want the game to feel like a game and real car. Like I said, if a car in real life behaved like it did on pcars, it wouldn't pass an MOT full stop. Seriously, I drove at 20MPH (no jokes) and the car was a massive struggle still. And you're telling me that's like a real car, where you cant do below the national speed limit? Yeah okay :lol:

That's the problem though, PCars seemed good in concept too. That's why I'm not hyped for AC, since PCars had so much hype yet delivered on none of it. My mate like PCars but he plays with all the assists. You shouldn't need assists to make the game playable.

Couldn't agree more, I hate using the assists (except I always use a slight bit of traction on lmp1 cars) but I've found with full assists the game seems difficult and I comfortable to play

Only thing I'm hyped for is f1 2016. If the play is identical with the original features AND LESS STUPID TRACK LIMIT RULES (as you know lol) then it will be the only game I play lol

It looks really good. Gameplay looks similar but the career mode options and depth are really cool.
 
Race day. I hope there will be more driving respect than Friday.

Regarding track limits, can everyone please watch out for running wide at T1 and last turn. Keep 2 wheels in the white lines (excluding kerbs). So basically your left side wheels can pass the kerb, but the right hand ones should stay on the tarmac.
If you do run wide please lift off. If you see other people doing it, don't use it as an excuse to do it yourself. Run your own race and let me know afterwards. I will be checking the replays anyway and will give out time pens, either 5 or 10 seconds depending on the number of times and how excessive the abuse is.

Seems to be my limit after a 5 lap race in Single Player. Should be ~1 second slower online. Slower still after lap 1 or 2 as the hybrid will run down quickly with Fast fuel setting?

57.9 is what ninja was setting. If he's improved i'm not sure, however don't get in our way :mischievous:

I love the hybrid feature, don't knock it :P

Yep SS tyres, under the regulations setting. There is a slight variation to GTTCC format mate, so make sure you understand. We'll be switching back to the original in due time though, more of that at another time.

I'm heading to WRS 132 EU race. @True-blue-8 it might finish about when CRZ begins, I'll message you as soon as I cross the line in WRS. If it's delayed more than 15 minutes I'll leave it so CRZ won't be delayed that much.
 
@True-blue-8 I prefer faster cars buuut...yes OK why not haha. Especially if @BenMillard is going to be there :P

Could I just put a note out there at the same time though;
If ever you run a series like this again, ie no tuning of any kind, and the car is a little quicker, maybe an s2000 or a skyline for example (or maybe even a different car each week??), definitely count me in as I really enjoy the one make stuff (I miss the GT6 Seasonal Events when they supplied the car and you had no options, mainly because I was able to kick :censored:in the online ranking tables, whereas now with the tuning, I don't feel quite so quick :lol:)
