Their share prices appear to be on a high at the moment looking at the Social Club site. It would be best to wait for them to drop first before buying.

I don't know anything about the stock markets - is this the best method? I figured buying stocks when the % was high was best, but it makes sense to buy them when they are low.

Also, how much do you guys put into a stock.

Buying when prices are at their highest means they would only drop thereafter, resulting in a loss. If they were to rise again after a lengthy wait, you'd probably end up with a very small profit or break-even.

Buying shares when prices are as low as possible, waiting for the share price to rise again and selling them when they reach their peak is how you maximise your profit. Just remember to buy low and sell high, always keeping an eye on the markets.

I always have between 15 and 20 million invested with each character. Just over half of what I have in total. I've dumped virtually all of my cash into various companies temporarily at one point or another though.

Yep, buy when they're a long way below the 'high' figure and preferably when they're the lowest. Also note the graphs, buy when they're just about to head up after a downward trend.

You mean Vapid? Their share prices appear to be on a high at the moment looking at the Social Club site. It would be best to wait for them to drop first before buying.

Yes, Vapid, not Viper.

I actually got that tip from one of the Strangers missions, but it's some time ago.

I've invested about $55m as Franklin in Pisswasser while their shares were at ~$2.20 each.

Hawk&Little is at 32 return percentage. I heard you should sell at that point. Should I?

Should I get rid of Tinkle? It's at -3.78 return percentage.

I'm confused. I bought $100k of stocks in Bilkington last night. Stock were at $4.5 at lowest and the info says it's highest in the previous week was $22. The graph was going up and down all through last week. However, once I bought the stocks, I went to sleep and checked again.... no increase. I continued to do this for an in-game week, but the stocks never get higher than about $4.9 Will they every rise to £22 (or anything other that just a few points?) Cheers.

How often do the bawsaq prices update in-game?

I wonder this too, but if I remember correctly the bawsaq is linked to the online part (Social Club) so I guess it would be real time.

Probably not. Like the real market some prices sink and never, ever recover to their highest value. If the price is still steadily increasing then wait until they peak, if they're going up and down sell out when they reach a peak.

But that's the thing.... the previous week, it was peaking to between $17 to $22 with lows of between $3 and $5...... so why is it never peaking above $5 now?

positive... the highest price recoreded in the previous week was $22

it shows:

High $22
Low $3
Value $4.5 (What I bought it at)
Last $11

The graph (last weeks) goes up and down daily with huge highs and lows.... but now I have bought shares..... nothing..... only tiny peaks.

Am I doing something completely wrong?

I guess it's every 3 hours. HAL shares are now at ~$6.40 each, I feel like an idiot for selling too early. Well, it's better than selling them too late. PIS shares are now at ~$4.20 after being at a low of $2.26 (which is the price I bought them at).

Yeah I dropped out HAL too early as well, when they started dropping. That has definitly been the best buy recently though, they were as low as .50, now 6.43. I think I bought at 1.50 and sold at 4.50.

I'm pretty certain the high value is all time high. Like for instance right now the 'High' value on Pißwasser is 151.12 but it hasn't been that price for a long time, the 'last 7 days' data is $21.90-$4.19, so it was at 21.90 at the start of the week.

i waited a week already....lol

Kinda bored of the whole stockmarket now....... never seems to work for me like it is for others. I'm only ever seeing tiny profits..... invest $100k... make $4k

I've seen other almost doubling up.

Buy low is the only tip you really need. If the high is $200 and they're currently at $195 don't bother. If the high is $200 and they're at $50, buy. Don't think they'll rise back to the high though, get out with a 10-20% yeild at best.

As for the BAWSAQ again look at the graphs and buy shares that are at rock bottom after a downward slope or just on the process of heading back up.

Keep an eye on Crevis. They've been heading downward all week. Wait for them to reach rock bottom and stabilise or start rising then buy. I bought too early, yesterday, and they've kept falling. They should start rising soon though.

Sweet... thanks for the tips :D

Hopefully I can start making some money now...... $200k is about the maximum any of my characters have got.

anim8r, like I said in my post few pages back, the graph doesn't represent anything at all. It doesn't move at all while your game session is on, no matter if its more than one in game week even. It will only change (quite randomly) when you start a new session.

So only sure way is to follow a stock price yourself and see how it fluctuates.

This is concerning the LCN atleast.

The percentages are also buggy on the LCN, they don't seem to update. Some of the stock prices have been the same for several in game weeks give or take a few dollars and they still say -40% or something that they were ages ago. Like my Lifeinvader has been around the 45-50 mark ever since I did a certain mission but they still say -70% or something, even though they've been around that area for ages.

Made a $12mil profit in about 2 hours on Pißwasser, and that was from a $10mil investment! Gone all in again with Michaels $22mil and should've made a tidy profit by tomorrow.

Yeah, although the prices didn't update at all while in my session yesterday (in-game, on website they do indeed). I guess they update when you start the game up again..?

Yeah they don't change that often. But during yesterdays game I already saw HAL going over $5.5 while watching the SC site. Bought it in game for $5.34. Also bought some Ammunition and LSC. None of them moved in game.

Now HAL is over $7.2. :D Have to fire up the game soon and check.
