Pretty sure that's been proven to have no effect on the stocks. Anyone profiting from destroying a rival company is just coincidence.
Yeah apparently, so how are you gonna get 150 mill then?

Effing crappy money earning system, and the heists was a big let down I have to say. I was almost certain that it was something you could do whenever you wanted once you were done with the missions, but no. I mean, what the hell can we unlock heist crew members for when we can't do no heists?

Oh well, GTA Online is gonna be something. Can't wait.

Yeah, it seems making money once the game is over is very hard unless you just get lucky on the stock exchange or spend hours and hours on it. I thought robbing a store might be good but I did that and got...500 dollars. Same with the security vans, you get 5000 at best.

I thought the heist members thing was odd as well, you're obviously meant to discover them before doing the heists but I had hardly any available, been finding a few since I finished including P but as you say, they're worthless now.

One more vote for heist disappointment. But one way to make money after the game is to collect briefcases, although it's not all that exciting. Also, I usually get $12,000 from security cars. I've only robbed 3, but all that effort for $5,000 isn't worth it.

I found a case underwater when looking for submarine parts, apparently there is a glitch that makes it spawn infinitely but I'm not going to sit for hours doing that.

I hope they wil improve their features in d update(if there is any) which will be damn good already without adding new features. Such as buying houses as properties car nt disappearing and more vilgalante such as being cop medic and firefighter
Oh ya and race track which is one of d thing they claim to have which turn out to b a horse race track or smth(when there is no horse or anything for it)

You're absolutely right on this. I've only been making a few buck here and there. With the stock market it's a hit or miss, I think they created it for quick buys and sells not sitting and watching (I could be wrong).

If anyone is looking for extra money, as Trevor take hitchhikers to the cult, there's a little man slaughter/cash grab when you take 3 (4?) people there. You can get about a hundred grand.

People worrying about money now, DON'T! When on-line starts up, we'll have the chance to steal other players money. So IMO, when the online portion starts up, it should help out money woes keeping in mind where only playing about half the missions - other half being online with your friends. Read up on this.

Quick tip:

Invest on ammunation on the BAWSAQ as soon as possible, stocks are going up in price slowly, but with online being released soon, and more people buying guns in-game, it will make a decent profit eventually.

I invested 7 million and at a 0.11 return percentage increase after one hour, I have made 8000, not much money by any means, but give it a week or so and I reckon I could get a nice return!

I'm not really planning to play online though, it's not my cup of tea and never has been.

Me too. I will try it out though, I've read there are a bunch of heists etc. made specifically for online.

I'm at a point in the game where I don't need any more money (yet) - I've bought Los Santos Customs so I get free upgrades, my properties make pretty decent weekly income (even more when you protect them), I don't buy guns or anything (steal them off people), until I get into the boat/planes (even those you can steal) market I'm good.

i cant do the fib heist mission whr by u need mask etc
i have receive a text to franklin from lester to meet him first before doing the heist, when i met him i was made to do the assaination mission which i do not want to do un til i finish my storymode so as to increase my stock earning(tips from online)
What seems to be the problem for me not able to receive the mission do i have to do the assasination first?
HELP

You have to do the first assassination mission for Lester to progress through the game, after the first one, you can leave the rest till the end of the game.

I just wish I had known this when I had completed the story..

I know right!
I just restarted the story. I really want the golf club.

I would suggest people invest in Hawk And Little on Bawsaq. It is steadily rising and people will keep buying it because it's by far the cheapest on the market. It was at $1.60 yesterday, at $3.24 now and rising.

I don't think the stocks are the same for everyone, are they?

I tried investing in some stocks yesterday. It went from being a ginormous profit of $400 (after putting $500,000 or so across some different stocks) to a loss of a few hundred dollars. I'm hoping I get lucky and I catch it at the right time when it goes up so I can sell out the stocks that have been giving me trouble.

Another thing you guys might want to check into that isn't stock related are the $10,000,000 and $20,000,000 movie theaters. I done some math yesterday and I found that both of them will take just over 75 game weeks to break even, but the more expensive theater will get you a bigger profit after you do break even. There is another theater that is $30,000,000, but it's weekly pay is only slightly more than the $10,000,000 theater...

I bought the $20m theater with Michael, and I'll probably buy the $10m one with Trevor, and buy the smaller properties with Franklin. Hopefully that will get some money up.

So i just invested about 1k each for Michael and Franklin on Hawk and Little and Pißwasser on BAWSAQ (i'm only like 13% complete with only a few thousand each)

Did I make a good move or just waste money?

BAWSAQ is the same for everyone, and all shares can be viewed on the Social Club website. LCN is individual, depending on how far you are in the game.

When you do a random event a guy tells you to buy shares in tinkle immediately. Do so and dump every penny you have into it. Wait until the percentage peaks at 30 and you will reap quite a few million in profit.

Since yesterday I have made 250k profit form investing in ammunation, I STRONGLY suggest buying shares now, as the price will continue to go up and up!

I bought it this morning around its low, probably won't see it until tomorrow afternoon to see what it looks like.

Just picked up the guy who asks to drop him off at the airport and he mentions that you should invest in Tinkle. Not sure if I should bother putting the rest of my cash towards that, though I've heard of some people making a 30% profit.

I just made 4 million doing that. I posted it above. No bull.

I know. I just wasn't sure if my return was be that great because the buying price had been much lower a few hours before I checked. I did however buy stock with each character (anywhere between $5 million and $15 million depending on the character), and I've already made a 19.4% gain with Trevor.

EDIT: It didn't rise above the level I mentioned, but I still made about $1.5 million with each character.

Basically once you've done all the 'special' missions and various other things that specially manipulate the market you're left with two options. Either invest in something that is very cheap and just leave it alone for a few days, hoping it rises or buy stocks and then watch the market like a hawk for the changes and sell for a small profit as quick as you can, rinse and repeat.

Either way it does some stupid that in a game about robberies and heists the only real way to make big cash is via a stock exchange.

I did, and it's actually been going down 4%. Viper should be a good investment though - I think.

I still think the idea of having a fully utilisable stock market to make money is an intriguing addition.

Having to depend on rising stock prices to make any sort of meaningful gain after the final mission though? That's not like the GTA I know at all. There's only so much pleasure I can get from trying to trade pure alpha all the time, just to make a slight profit. I'd much rather make a concerted effort to earn my cash, and more heists with large payouts would be the perfect remedy.

You mean Vapid? Their share prices appear to be on a high at the moment looking at the Social Club site. It would be best to wait for them to drop first before buying.

And I really wish I'd invested in Hawk And Little yesterday. Might try doing so with Pißwasser later on instead.

Started over and started buying large amounts of assasination stock while it's cheap. Lifeinvader is 3.40 right now and I have 100k shares of it. It was up to 130 per share by games end, so I'm hoping it's the same on this save by then. I've also been buying up loads of the insurance stock while it's 65 per share. By the end of the game shares were 465, so i'm getting in now. Im trying to make atleast 50M liquid by games end, plus final heist 24M, plus starting Lester's missions. If that don't get me the golf course, i'm going back to GT5 for awhile. Getting sick of doing the 25k briefcase trick though.
