Anyone in the Colorado / Utah / New Mexico area please keep an eye out for my friends Subaru. It was stolen tonight from his Dad's driveway. We figure they won't get far in it since it runs on E85 but that won't stop them from towing it somewhere. He's had this car for over 10 years and has way too much blood sweat and tears in it. They had just finished putting a new transmission in it this weekend and now this happens. :indiff:

Every stolen car hurts, but this one is especially tragic. Not only is the car a legendary 1984 Buick Grand National, but it holds a staggering amount of sentimental value as well: it was a lasting memory of a father working on his car with his son, a son who passed away recently.

David Solomon was a milkman with fantastic taste in cars. Back in 1984, after much saving and planning, he bought a brand new Buick Grand National. It became his prized possession, and he would often work on it with his son, also named David.

Now, the elder David is quite old, and the younger David died tragically at the age of 50 to cancer. The car was a storehouse of memories for the father, but tragically the car was stolen on November 17.

It was taken right from the Solomon's home in Strawplains Pike in Knoxville, TN. A Facebook page has been set up by his granddaughter to help find the car, and a $2000 reward is offered.

Here's more details about the car from her Facebook page:

More details on Papaw's 1984 Grand National:

Scott Bloomquist sticker on front windshield by rear-view mirror

The Knox County Sheriff's Department is working with the family to help recover the car. If anyone has any information, please contact police or call 865-356-3708.

That's heartbreaking, I can't imagine how the owner must be feeling. Really hoping they get it back.

Two cars were stolen recently and both are taken from another forum;

First up is an S197 Mustang.

Description;

S197 stolen from Berkshire area 08/01/14
keep an eye out for this S197 which was stolen from Berkshire, last night.
It's an '06 in Grabber Orange, and was turned into a Boss 302 clone by Galpin Auto Sports in the US. It's no longer sporting the '15 roundel on the doors, but otherwise is as it appears in this photo.
Registration RX56XSM

Second is a '69 Shelby GT350

Description;

white 69 Shelby GT350 4 speed was stolen over XMAS

pretty sure this was "stolen to order" as it was locked away out of sight.
if you hear of parts or car offered

I'd be pissed if I owned that and it got stolen. Hell, I'd do the same thing^^

1,000hp Challenger/Superbird stolen.

Joel Highsmith built a Dodge Challenger with the goal of breaking the 200 mph barrier at events like the Mojave Mile. Now that dream is shattered because the car has been stolen. Let's see if we can find it.P

According to Allpar and multiple concerned people who have emailed us about the case, the Challenger was taken around 7 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Spankin Time Motorsports in San Bernadino, California, which is located at 160 South D Street. The car was in a 39-foot black and red enclosed trailer, pictured here as well, which was believed to have been towed off by a white Ford F-350. P

The Challenger, built by Spankin Time Performance, is said to be worth about $200,000 and rated at about 1,005 horsepower. Anyone with info about the car is asked to call (909) 388-2536 or email info@spankintime.com, although you should probably call 911 first. P

This should be an easy one, folks. How many red and black Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird-looking new Challengers are out there running around? If you see one like this, that's probably it, you know? Let's hope it gets back home where it belongs. P

But stealing a rare, one-of-38-ever-made car is not just awful, it's stupid. And that's what happened to this Terlingua Mustang.

This 2008 Shelby-modified Terlingua Mustang was stolen from a self-storage facility in Spring, TX, along with its trailer. Here's the full lowdown from the owner:
The theft occurred at 7:00am, Friday, Feb 28th from CubeSmart Storage, 1220 Spring Stuebner Road, Spring, TX. There were two people in a late model, dark, probably black, Ford Crew Cab pickup. In 3 minutes they pulled in, broke the ball lock and tongue lock, hooked up and pulled out. The Terlingua was inside a 2011 24' black Cargo Craft enclosed trailer. The trailer had the large TRT sign on the back. It all shows up in the photos.

The car is an '08. The Shelby number is 08TRT0403

There's a $2500 reward being offered, and as you can imagine, the owner is pretty desperate to get his beloved, rare car back. With a car as rare as this one, you'd think it'd be pretty hard to sell without anyone noticing. So, let's all keep our eyes open, especially fellow Jalops around the Houston area.

I fail to understand why people steal rare/limited production cars. I can't imagine parting out or selling being an option without attracting some attention.

This isn't actually a stolen car, but rather a pretty expensive car that's been broken into. Ken Block's Ford Raptor 'RaptorTRAX' was broken into last night at a hotel in Missoula, Montana. The thieves stole a board bag full of DC snowboards, jackets, boots, and other snowboarding gear. They also stole the truck's Rigid Industries light bars. If you've got any leads or information, shoot an email over to info@hooniganracing.com.

'93 Celica
q4y0xdjudawk1we5jxm3.jpg

This is AJ's Toyota Celica. I met him in a Sears parking lot, where I pulled up to complement him on how clean his car looked, and we ended up talking cars for a while. He's a cool guy, and I'm just trying to help him get back his ride. He's just a college gearhead who loves his car, which was stolen last night.
The car was stolen from Bridgeport, CT. It's a 1993 Toyota Celica, on BBS Reps. Plate is a CT plate, "473ZTX". Please let me know if you see anything, and spread the word.
Thanks!
