HUGE SERIES CHANGE
I would like to propose a huge change to spice up the series that i would like everyone to vote for , and if it is it can be used for the rest of the season starting at the next round Daytona.

When we first set up this series and the handicaps and rules and regs, we did not have signed up the magnificent elite driver. We had some very fast guys, but the arrival of these awesome drivers have rather defeated the handicap bhp system that was in place for the series.
Although we are very honored and privileged to have you guys on board, it has meant the bhp settings have been stretched way past what i thought they would ever be, adding also that it seems impossible for normal guys to win races as the elite guys seem still able to win the races with huge bhp deficits.
All the regs and rules when they were made up all have underlined
Event organisers have the right to change any settings in the event of unforeseen circumstances and fairness.
And i would like to think we can push through these changes that will allow normal drivers to have a winning chance every alternate week, as it seems they dont at the moment.

It sounds complicated but i assure you it is not.

So we dont have the huge BHP differences between drivers, that currently mean at certain tracks it is too harsh on the elite guys, and also it still seems improbable for the normal guys to win races.

My proposal is to split the drivers into 2 groups
Elite known as class A drivers
Normal known as class B drivers

Also to introduce 2 new cars
CLASS 1 CAR
PEUGEOT 908 HDi FAP Base Model 10 @ 710bhp
Stock settings -PAINTED AND NUMBERED v fast and easy to drive
CLASS 2 CAR
Nissan GT-R Gt500 08 Base
@ 500bhp Stock settings -PAINTED AND NUMBERED fast and easy to drive

each alternate week the class A drivers will drive the class 1 car and the class B drivers will drive the class 2 car
and alternate weeks the class B drivers will drive the class 1 car and the class A drivers will drive the class 2 car

This will then create 2 races within the same race but all points will be scored as they are currently in finishing order.

This will mean that when the weeks the class A drivers have the class 1 car
they will be battling for the top spots and the class B drivers in the class 2 car will be battling for lower spots.
but on alternate weeks this will mean that
when the class B drivers will have the class 1 car they will be battling for the top spots while the class A drivers battle for lower spots in the class 2 car.

Also the bhp system will only effect each class seperately.

All drivers will still be scoring points where they finish in the race.

Drivers in each class would be
A class
Nissman
Tony
Sken
Phaed
Lozza
Chris
Agro
Ayhan

B class
SRT
Logicline
Blue
Filipino
Pubes
TnT
Kossu
Bratt
Cedbel
Gueven

If we were to start it at the next race Daytona with the points as they are currently.

Class A
would drive the CLASS 1 CAR PEUGEOT 908
Class B
would drive the CLASS 2 CAR Nissan GT-R Gt500

there would be only increments of -3 bhp for each points standing in each class.

Championship---Total--Driver-----CLASS-----Car-------Team-----------bhp

Class A drivers in Bold will drive the class 1 car at Daytona.

Class B drivers not Bold will drive the class 2 car at Daytona.

-1st----------------63----Nissman------A------9--Mugen MotorSports-----692 bhp
-2nd-E-------------62----R-Tony
--------A------1------------------------------695 bhp
-3rd-E--------------62----Sken----------A-----66--Type R Racing-----------695 bhp

17th------------------12----Bratt-----------B----------00-----------------------------497 bhp
18th------------------00----Cedbel---------B----------12-----------------------Base-500 bhp

Alternate weeks the cars would switch with their respective bhp differences in each class.

This would ensure all drivers would have battles for wins when they have the class 1 car on alternate weeks.

I need you guys to vote this through if you would like it to happen, as it need to be in place asap.

Sounds like an interesting prospect Logic my only concern would be blue flags tbh. It'd be worth a test, definitely verging more towards a proper endurance type series with multi classes. But I'm not going to lie, I like a big field of people with the same cars to test myself against.

I'm sorry for not racing recently guys, I've lost my mojo haha I have no motivation to race online anymore. Yesterday I had to spend time with a friend before she went on holiday so I missed the race, exceptions have to made sometimes  But I have 2 weeks relatively free now so I might try to make it on, no promises lol ;)

Be gentle with me when I do hahaha ;) but congrats to whoever takes over my title this season. I just haven't been feeling it tbh but I have missed racing with you guys and the old lexus championship, so there's a high chance I'll be back for Daytona.

Thought you guys would like to know that I passed my 4th year of uni with distinction and won a prize from the Royal Aeronautical society for my dissertation a few weeks ago which was a big thing for me. It sounds like boasting but it's really not, during the early part of this year the last championship really gave me a break from my uni work and helped me cope tbh lol; so thanks to all of you guys for making it such a fun championship for me!! especially @Stephen Vann hahaha I think he knew what my sleeping schedule was like with simulations

I agree with @TazRacing, I didn't realise you were going to implement new changes to the current season, instead for the next.

But I'm pretty easy as always, I just enjoy racing with you guys. Although I have started to like running these HSV's quite well, even with my poor results so far.

I always enjoy multicass racing, and does provide a chance for every driver in their class to really have a shot at winning. It's just the car changes that I worry about, everybody practices and has gotten used to the Honda's.

But if everyone is keen to do it then I'll still continue on :).

Maybe drivers could have been offered their personal choice in what group they'd like to continue this season?
There's no must that we split the field on two exact halves . . . Someone might actually prefer harder challenge to keep improving himself, instead of few easy results?

Well that may be an option, but i have to make a decision on this quickly, and i need it all set and ready in place by Thursday.
There are some that dont want rain and dark and this and that, but we cant do everything right now.

Yes its fine if anyone want to move to the elite class, but i feel that the normal guys would have very good close races in the classes i have put them into as it is, and it would be helpful if it were balance on numbers as everyone will score points where they finish at each race in the one championship as they do now.
I know on results that there are some that are almost in the elite class, but as i practice a lot with most guys i feel i know where the big gap in speed is.

I am sure as it is it will have great races throughout. But if anyone want to go elite let me know asap.

Since we seem to be making major changes allow me to propose to also change the tires to RM and RH. If not everyone agrees we could do it only in the so called ''elite'' class as you say in which i don't think anyone would object.
Lets see what people think.
To be honest the Peugeot is very powerful at 710 bhp, and as a non elite driver i think it would be rather difficult for me to manage, but when the normal guys have it then we can use RS if we want to.

I just think for one week we have enough changes Tony, i am happy to bring that forward as a suggestion for the future season or later this season.

Lets see if there is a huge response to your suggestion.

I don't think we should completely change the series half way through a season. That doesn't make any sense to me, it basically makes all the races we've done so far pointless! It's like we've got half way through the season with the HSV and then just given up on it! If we're changing it to a completely different series then why not start next season? Or cancel this and start fresh? Also it means this is no longer the series that any of us signed up for!

I'm not against the new multi class racing idea, I like multi class racing as much as anyone else, but wouldn't it be better to save that for another season?

If we are trying to make the whole grid closer maybe try giving the drivers who are lowest in the points RS tyres and limit others to RM. Could be difficult to police during the race though!

I were in two practis races with Log yesterday night. I have to say the Gtr seems more stable from my view, it has more torque(which i quait like) better sound and none the less it's more fun to push than the honda. Likewise is the 908 if you step on the throttle at the wrong time, it's like being kicked by a mule (alot more torque). We also did some testing on were any problems in overtaking should be a problem. At daytona there were no problem what so ever. But at a track like the ring the elite guys would have a hard time overtaking. So at a track like that they would need some assistanance when overtaking.

Ok Guys we have enough votes to make the changes.

I can promise this will make it much better and more exciting for everyone as it will keep the championship closer
without the huge bhp penalties and also allow different drivers the chance of winning races.

You will need to aquire the base models

Class 1 Car PEUGEOT 908 HDi FAP Base Model 10
and
Class 2 Car Nissan GT-R Gt500 08 Base

AND GET THEM BOTH PAINTED AND NUMBERED AS YOU HAD PREVIOUSLY

You can add the chassis reinforcement if you wish.
The only other changes are brake balance allowed.
Make sure you have all tyres RS RM RH IM HW

For the Daytona Race on Monday your cars and settings will be as follows alternating each week.

Any Tyes can be used but Tyre type Change will be on as usual.

Qualy and pace lap will take place in the usual manner.

Drivers Bhp settings are their max setting, but they can run with less bhp if you choose to.

R Dan No 18 Colour Black -- class to be confirmed.

Class 1 cars Lapping class 2 cars
Class 2 cars are to keep there normal racing line and braking points.
It will be up to group 1 cars to pass them in a safe manner - and that should be quite easy.

I would really like for everyone to try out the cars - i will be on tonight and would like to hopefully do
a full test race if we have enough interest on Friday night.

AS FOR CHANGING THE TYRE ALLOCATIONS RE TONYS SUGGESTIONS WE CAN LOOK AT THAT AFTER THE NEXT 4 RACES once we see how things run.
