Street Racing

Anyone here race on their bikes?
I race kids in neighborhood daily, never lost yet. My Schwinn road bike PWNz their crap BMX bikes. Gets me a lot of girls too.
I can blow off cars at 40mph going downhill.
So... if you want also post any marathons, etc you've been in with your bike.
Any kind of competition anyway. Road, BMX, any bike.
PS I DEMAND a bike forum!

Yeah, 40mph downhill can be almost scary, even on a mountain bike with shocks. But not quite, which makes it fun as hell.

It IS downright scary.
But who cares? As you said its fun as hell!
The whole bike frame was rattling... the sidewalk was no more than 4 feet wide... Northern Boulevard was on one side and a thick, full hedge was on the other... I hadnt tested my new helmet yet, and didnt want to get my tires repaired again. A car started pulling out of the Mini Golf parking lot...WTF?! DAMN!! ****!! It was standing awfully still, it looked awfully solid, it was awfully close, my brakes were awfuly bad, and I was going awfully fast. Hard brake, hard brake!!!! Luckily my brakes were good enough to stop me, but not enough to flip me like I have so often done.
I cruised around the front of the car at a leisurely 5 mph. The driver and passenger were seemingly oblivious to my previous trauma. I sighed. I was alive! But I had lost all of my precious speed... and now instead of at the top of the hill I was at the bottom...
Most exhilirating ride of my life.

Frankly I thought it had a lot to do with the content in your thread and it was very on topic.

But I guess I might as well say that I used to race my bike with people on my street, and I wiped out going 43mph down a hill once, but I was only 12 years old back then.

EDIT: after checking your profile, never mind. I didn't have much of a life back then either.
