I usually flip when I clip a strip on a sudden elevation change like you can find on the Rifelsee.

Yea, this part was flat and there was just no way my car should have flipped like it did. I've seen videos similar to what happened to me and like I said, it was as if a sudden gust of wind just came in and blew me over. Its ridiculous.

@JogoAsobi Yep, that's exactly the same sort of thing that happened to me.

Although I've never flipped as if I was blown by a sudden gust of wind like Bernd Rosenmeyer was in the Auto Union Type C Streamline though.

Couldn't agree more, this has been well documented on GTP regarding GT6's improved physics. :sly:

Case in point:
Ford GT Mark IV @ Bathurst getting dumped on its head after clipping kerb, just before Skyline.

^ Notice the absence of:
1) Dramatic elevation change.
2) Track surface contour/irregularity
3) Kerb angle severity.
Could be worse, could be Forza kerb physics lol

I dunno how many times I flipped or rolled my Roadster touring car when I was tuning it for the last FITT challenge, catch the curb on the last corner and just roll over. Same with Rotenboden with the Roadster catch a corner just right and the entire car just rolls over.

Just a note I did the STI '0u cause I was making a replica WRX '08 tune, I own the car IRL. It's still very fast and will pull gold easy and on good hands proly be competitive I think.

I ultimately ended up switching over to the 22b STI for the lower center of gravity. It definitely made a difference in how hard I could hit those off-camber kerbs and steep-drop corners.

Try driving the bmw m3 csl (with default suspension settings) on grand valley east and clip the inside kerb at the very start of the TT and see what happens :D
edit: hmmm... Seems they have patched it. It used to roll big time there without fail.

Anyone have a 22B tune for this? :)
praiano63 has 1 in his tune section, just lower the power and play around with it,i got gold with it,just have to tweak it edit: forget what i said i had the same but mine was 550 pp doh

Bought the Spec C ´09 installed a low Turbo plus ECU and intake Manifold (and all the other non-PP influencing things) plus powerlimiter.
First try my Gearing was too low and I was too cautious (3rd turn and final 2 turns).
So changed gears to 250kph (no other changes) and it worked out to gold it.
Track would be the BIG BALL Circuit in real life and in addition a fatal Deathtrack.
A BTCC Race here and probably directly after Start a few peeps would have died at Turn 1.
1:20.low was my time maybe me can get to low 19´s or high 18´s but gold is gold.

ok here is one for my fellow slow peeps it will get 1:18+ easy
wrx sti spec C '09 500pp 353bhp 1230kg weight53:47 torque 50kg
parts needed:
sports hard, sports exhaust, high turbo, twin clutch, carbon shaft, centre diff, weight stg 3+bonnet,now this is optional front aero + rear wing don't need it but will help some.
susp: 130/130, 4.72/4.23, 3/6, 6/3, 3/3 0.0/0.0, -0.15/-0.11 brakes:6/8
power: 95.3%
lsd:
5/5, 24/24, 5/5 centre diff 50:50
ballast: 32@50 now downforce is up to you whether you have it or not 5 to 20 or 0
trans: final gear all way right max speed all way left
1st 2965, 2nd 2333, 3rd 1901, 4th 1563, 5th 1303, 6th 1111 final gear 3830 can change
now this is not a fast tune its just there to help the struggling so have fun

i had a roll on that second downhill bit it was fun watching it spin about 8 times on its nose, but i forgot to save the replay damn

I'd say GT6 is rather accurate at it. You can't just simply tackle one of those rise and drop sweepers at Matterhorn clipping the curbs at high speed like I did. This has mainly happened when I try to take curbs like that.

GT1-4 didn't even have a full dynamics simulation for when the car did break contact to the ground like that.
My tips have all been in long sweeping corners, two or three on Tokyo in the middle of that long curve with no warning whatsoever. The above few comments seem to agree. I'll try to save the replays and youtube them from a few different angles next time it happens. The Miata one is already there. Love the dynamics, hate the rollovers.

Holy air time Batman! Seriously, I'm having a really hard time with the braking point over that hard cresting right early in the lap. Is a heavy car best for that turn?

Brake a bit sooner and keep your speed at or below 120 km/h (60ish mph) even cars that are 1260 kg catch air above that speed, it's not the crest at the top of the hill but a small bump near the top that's causing the issue.
My current tune that I worked up for a different car I hit 250 km/h and brake it to 119 km/h just before the 3/4 point of the climb up and than get back on the gas and I clear the top at 135 km/h so it's doable at high speed just have to be under a certain speed to not catch air

Had to make a video about this. Every. Single. Lap.

Funny video. Don't know if you choose the music for it, but I like how when the car starts flipping you hear, 'a new fantastic point of view'. Although I prefer Steppenwolf's 'Magic Carpet Ride'. Rock and Roll over! :D

Yes, I did choose the music for it :)

Finally achieved a 1:20.900, I could do better but this time satisfies my OCD :D

Try increasing the extension dampers, it will give you more wheel contact time to brake with as the car tries to lift off. However this setting doesn't like curbs at all ..

Praiano's 22B is balanced here even the gears were fine out of the box, whatever you do don't rely on input when your wheels is in the air, I start braking for the notorious flipper 3rd gear corner before the suspension compresses at the steep downhill and back on the throttle hugging the inside kerb immediately.
