Fuel, tyres, driver change. #12 now leads.

I dont understand what happened to the 23 car. mechanical?

I think it stalled after the first straight.. They all seem so suffer this once and a while.

The link still works fine here..

Gainer Sls and Ordonez' GT-R going at it after their 2nd stop!

D'station pits for fuel. Now I''m waiting for Calsonic to get a drive through and Lexus can win!

The Petronas got a penalty for causing the same kind of incident..
So it would make sense but dont know if they are looking into it.

Officials are having a good nose around the front of the #12. Fuel, tyres, driver change, back out again.

EDIT - Oh wow

Miserable day for the Honda guys. Time to shed some weight and come out fighting for R3.

In gt300 the CR-z from Honda is doing well..
But its true, they do need to be more competitive!

Gainer Sls gt300 trying to outbrake the Petronas gt500

Edit: spin CR-Z, it really isn't Honda their day..

Well well, congrats to the Calsonic and Nissan team! The GT-R is up for the battle with the Lexuses the coming races.
Let's hope Honda can find some improvements so we have 15 cars to see race next track in stead of 10..
See you all in three weeks..

GT300 is starting to look like a Trident commercial with the GoodSmile Racing HatsuneMiku BMW Z4 GT3 winning 4 of the last 5 SuperGT races(Like on average 4 out of 5 dentists recommend Trident for their patients who chew gum). Now if only SuperGT could put up the full races on their YouTube page like their DTM counterparts for those who are outside Japan and don't have a TV outlet in their country that airs the races.

EDITED for spellchecking

If Honda has another terrible outing the panic button should be pressed at HQ. The Fuji race had some driver snafus but the cars are noticeably being outperformed by the RC-F and GT-R.

The main issue behind Honda's Tale of Woe is because of the fact that the NSX is mid engined. They (as in Honda) agreed to a 70 Kilo BoP back at the beginning of the year because of the potential advantages it could have if it was on a more level playing field. Another big issue is that it is a standard monocoque designed with Front-Engined, Rear Drive in mind, so cooling a MR powerplant hasn't been the easiest task which explains the non-classified finishes at Fuji, and also there is some suspension imbalance because of the different weight distribution compared to what the standard chassis is used to. It's fundamental flaws that will be ironed out over the year, because one of the best parts about Super GT is the rate of Development that the big 3 take on. And with the situation Honda is in, they could have a good package come the last few rounds.

Did you guys hear that the rule makers are having the gt500's run Fuji spec rear wings next race? They fear the cars are too fast for the tracks they run in case of accident. So theyll run a hybrid package with the high downforce front ends with the diveplanes/canard wings and wide fuji spec rear wing! http://as-web.jp has the story.

Won't they just be horribly twitchy then?

Theyll manage compared to the other "solution" for slowing the cars. That was to reverse the gurney flap on the rear wing. In other words, put it on the bottom of the rear wing. That made the cars dangerous according to the drivers. On twitter they were very vocal about it.

Yeah, I heard about the plot to slow the cars but their excuse just makes no sense. Super Formula runs on the same tracks and this year their cars are F1-level fast. And the upcoming tracks, with the small exception of Sugo, are all safe modern international-standard tracks with plenty of run-off. Safety is important, but I feel they're making a mole hill into a mountain on this occasion.

Daft idea. It will cause accidents. :dunce:

Hold on, turning the flipping rear wing upside down was considered? Do the JAF want to kill people?

Imagine how unstable that'd be in the damp...
