Super Formula has less weight and better brakes. The cars will stop faster if they go off course and hit a gravel trap. Super GT is 1020kg+ driver and ballast. Thats their reasoning. Theyll still be faster than last year, or ever. They turned 1:28's in qualifying at Fuji, thats faster than 2013's Rebellion Lola Toyota! I dont think their reasoning is illogical, but the drivers dont seem to care for it.

So everyone, who do you have your 200 yen on to win the Autopolis 300km next weekend in both classes?

Oooh, tough one. Nissan are carrying great form now, so as long as they don't explode, i'd go for D'Station/MOLA. In 300, GSR are looking impeccable, so i'd have to put money on them. Nissan could do well too.

I think the Prius will have a good run in gt300. They had a bad stop at Fuji. But now their ballast is low and should do well here. The BRZ and CR-Z will be strong also. This is a more downforce reliant track compared to Fuji. In GT500, I think the Petronas will be strong if Kazuki Nakajima is back in the car.

James is out looking for revenge after a torrid first couple of rounds. He's going to be on it all weekend.

Unfortunately the race is not this weekend but next weekend.. :(
Still Petronas in gt500 and that Monstrous Prius in gt300 are my picks..

Fixed. :embarrassed:

If GSR doesn't win, I imagine they'll make a strong showing.:)

So the raceweekend in Autopolis is underway.. The Gt-R's look very fast once again.
Am very dissapointed in the Petronas lexus, the lightest of them all is also almost slowest :S
Raybrig and kehin Nsx good positions but more than 1,5 second of pole..

Lucas ordonez having 3rd position, well done! 1 (brz) and 2 (cr-z) within 2 tenths of eachother, promising stuff..
Gsr-BMW seems off-pace.. Good the 80kilos are showing their disadvantages!

Hopefully we're in for another great race tomorrowmorning!

good to see NISMO #23 at the top but lets see if they can go a full race with out the troubles theyve had the last two

the race is later tonight right? 1AM EST like usual I assume?

Oh well, KEIHIN have binned it into the gravel.

NSX looks alright in the corners, but pitiful on the straights. The RC-F gaps around 3 car lengths on him.

WOAH, that looks bad! Huge crash for a GT300 GTR! That was scary, seemed like brake failure at the end of a straight. Shot right over the barrier!

Dear God, almighty smash for the GTR. Cleared the tyres and barrier, flew into the catchfence.

Conscious, moving, but on a backboard as a precaution.

Whilst that was happening, D'Station broke down and TWS stalled.

Nice battles for 3rd place in both categories to finish the race. A pity ordonez' Gt-R and a lexus didnt make the podium.

See you in Sugo ;)

Fixed. :D

And given what happened the last 2 weekends in racing, I imagine the first sledging shots are about to be fired at the Sugo round? Chances are, and I say this in jest, the Nissan and Toyota/Lexus teams are going to be told by teams from other manufacturers "Go home, you're drunk and sick. :P"
