Should we all turn off our mics before race start?

Between trying to get a decent transmission setup (top speed/accel) and locating brake markers in the shade, I officially went bat-**** last night.

My car just couldn't keep up down the straight. Cb could just leave me behind there. Tried top speed from 224-261. Maybe too much downforce? I'm maxed. Think I'll add a Supercharger...see if that helps. Any suggestions are welcome;)

Or maybe just drive better!

I'm not sure my trans setup would help, I'm not running the ZR1. I do think my top speed is set to 193 or somewhere close to that. You really want to almost max out the tach in 6th gear at the end of the long straight, just leave a little extra for drafting.

If you are going to be online a couple hours before the race, look for me in my lounge or logan's and I'll see if I can help with your tranny settings. Logan has good ones for the ZR1 also.

yes I will be there! Will not be very competitive though. My little cousins from Colorado wore me out and took over the PS3. Oh well I'll still look damn good.

Guys, so sorry about my spinout. The car in front of me was lagging and I let it throw me off. Just hit the gas too soon and spun in a tight spot-then got stuck. I know it put half the field off the pace so early in. Felt rotten. Hope this week goes better.

DJ if you want to hand me a DQ for blocking the road that's fine.

I haven't watched the replay yet but I don't think you did anything to deserve a DQ. I mean, accidents happen. It seems wrong of me to penalize a rare accident from you.

As for the race, I think it went great. I thought everybody was racing fair and clean for the most part and I also think those Vettes are savage beasts. Really fun to drive. So thanks guys for a really good race.

And for your amusement, here's a pic of me with two high priced rentals in Vegas!

I know its blurry, we were super drunk and it was on a cell phone LOL

Great race last night guys! It was a lot of fun. Congratulations CB on your first win. Great team work CB, JT and Dangit, we were able to run some great lap times and managed to keep ourselves out of any trouble.

Yeah cB obtained a 1.32.6 without draft. He was quick and fastest lap.

I know I ran a 1.32.8 trying to make up time after the pit glitch I had. My AI driver didn't know how to drive pass the occupied pit stalls with out stopping at each one :)

I noticed your car stop and go. Must have been a penalty for your pushy driving. Ha ha. I got a 1.32.757 after pit thanks to less fuel load I would say.

After watching the replay, it was clear my tire wear was really bad in this race. I know my not so perfect driving style is a contributing factor, but what else have you guys found to affect tire wear? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Man, I hate driving on worn tires.

I found that if I pushed real hard or if I was leading at Tokyo , my tires wore quickly. If I was following I had good tire wear. Running a lot of camber, heavy down force and driving hard into the corners will kill your tires. Unfortunately some tracks require you to do so. I try running alot of laps in practice on worn tires so I know how my car will handle. If my car is tight on worn tires I'll loosen it up initially and vice versa

I'm in the same boat. I've learned to live with it as it's too much to think about when racing.

not bad at all:sly::scared::crazy:

Don't think I will compete in this next race at the High Speed Ring
Right now I do not have a super car at 600pp capable of running faster than 1:03! :nervous::ill::indiff:
p.s. after one loses the draft it becomes a very lonely race running around the track by yourself for 30 or more laps

I've tried several cars for this. Get an Enzo, Ford GT or Citroen GT road car and you'll be fine. Few runs in the seasonals and hit the NCD's!

Yeah, I went off course a couple times last night and my race was quickly over. I'm fine until there's other cars on the track, heh.

I'm probably going with the Ford GT. I'm fastest with that car and the tires hold up the best. They are easily affordable, 2 runs of the Farrari Le Mans seasonal, which should take about 8 mins, and you can have one in your garage

That's pretty much the season for me. I didn't even realize there was anyone else in the league, most of the time I see everyone at the start and then I'm going around by myself, unless I get lapped of course:confused::boggled:

Why don't you have any cars or money to buy cars?

I think scorpion has a 600pp super car. Just not one faster than 1:03 lol. I'm going saleen. I can't get under 1:01 in practice but I think if I stay with the pack I have a good shot @ a podium finish

I tried the Saleen, I just can't drive it. I'm going Enzo, it's quick and has the highest top speed but you have to know how to brake it. cB was in a Lamborghini that was killing everyone. That ZZII thing was quick also.
