SuperGT Cars

Which car is the best out of the SuperGT cars?

I want to invest my money in one, but I don't know which one to buy, and I want a premium one :P

Any tips out there on which?

It is personal preference. SuperGT is a little like NASCAR with every car having about the same power/weight ratio. I personally like the NSXs as they sound amazing (Takata Dome) and I like the MR powertrain. The weight being over the driving wheels makes a slight difference. The only SuperGT cars down on power are the CUSCO Impreza, ARTA Garaiya, and Wedsport IS as they are the GT300 class instead of the GT500 like the Supras, Skylines, SC430s, and NSXs are.

They're all the same, the only difference is the paint style.

All the same? lol

I reckon the OP asked about which one of the cars to buy, not whether the e.g. the GT-Rs are different.

Anyway I'd go with a GT-R.
And did you mean GT500 or GT300?

The have different handling characteristics. The GT-R is very predictable, while the NSX requires a bit more caution. I went with the NSX (the Raybrig) since they sound better and I like the liveliness.

These are some of the most enjoyable cars to drive. You can carry really nice corner speed and I like to run mine on hard racing tyres just to keep it interesting.

Definitely prefer the MR GT500 cars over the GTRs and SC430s. I went ahead and bought the ARTA NSX.

Funny thing is, I didn't realize I could use any car for the Super GT race in b-spec:banghead:

Yeah they are all identical. Apart from the paint jobs. And the make and model. And the power. And the weight. And the layout. And the aerodynamics.

I love my Takata Dome NSX. It feels as if I'm always going to lose control, while at the same time it gives me the feeling that I'll never lose control...does that make sense?

I love the Takata NSX as well. I have a Re-Amemiya RX-7 as well, which with (a lot of) tuning runs very nicely.

I think the Super GT cars are probably the best looking ones in the game. PD really nailed the textures and the look of the tires.

There is some difference in raw power and torque amongst them. In both GT500 and GT300 categories.
The interior is also different, event from two versions of the same model.

I wish there was a setting for online to only have Super GT cars in the race. The Supra and GT-R are the only 2 we are stuck with. :(

The Super-Gt cars are my favourite in the Game and I drive them a lot particularly in the Japanese tracks Fuji,Suzuka and Tsukuba. The best for me is the Nsx Takata(the engine sound makes mi come every time I drive it) but it results a pit 'crabbed' but I love it though!

SuperGT cars are my favourite too. I love the way they are glued to the track. Fast, capable but controlable and lots of fun! I am building a collection and hope to one day raise some JGTC events online!

Definitely, I think it helps that they have access to them (being in Japan) over the other race cars.

Love the NSX's and of course the Tom's Supra.

I don't have any of them in GT Mode, but i was able to drive the Nissan GT-R Calsonic 2008, and i loved it, it turnet to be one of my favourite cars in the game.

I won the Nissan 350z (I don't know what the Super Gt version is called) with a level 21 gift ticket and I love it, I also have a stealth GT-R but the NSX's usually tend to be at the front of the races and the Raybrig livery is simply great.

I bought the re asparadrink rx7. The one with the 20b, ohhh yehhhhh.

I think i did the super gt series 3 or 4 times.hahaha

There's minor (very minor) differences between team cars in the modern GT500 cars ('07 onward). But, the differences in performance are probably smaller than the differences between your fastest and second fastest lap times.
If you're after the fastest one, go for a 08 GT-R, one of the factory entered ones. It's the fastest of the newest ones.

The GT300 cars, on the other hand...there's a range to chose from, and the best depends on whether you're going to tune it. If you're not, go for the latest model. Doesn't really matter, just pick what one looks best.
If you ARE going to tune it, keep an eye out for the WedsSport Celica in the Used car dealership. It actually uses a 2002 Toyota Supra GT500 engine/drivetrain that's been detuned a bit to fit into GT300 (read the description for this car, it'll make more sense). Whack a turbocharger on it and it'll make a nice easy 400hp, but with a shorter wheelbase and fairly aggressive aero it can (at times) out-perform GT500 cars, especilly around and through the corners and under brakes. AND all up it costs $200,000 for the car and $60,000 for tyres and a turbo.

Bargain, if you ask me.

AND it looks good. Almost like a permium.

I'm partial to the NSX myself, but you can't go wrong, they're all a blast to drive.

If you're feeling ambitious you can even buy one of the GT300 cars and tune it to compete with the GT500 cars, although it kills some of the realism.

I forgot to say. Has anyone else with a Takata NSX noticed that the gear indicator on cockpit mode is bugged?

It always displays one gear lower than the one you're in for me. Not sure if this is true for everybody else.

Stealth NSX did that to me once. Clear network cache and start the game again, worked for me.
