Do it again. The prize car is random.

Oh, and watch the language.

That's funny. Occasional cussing goes on in the GT1 & 2 forums and nobody cares. Probly cuz nobody hardly ever goes in those forums!

I suggest you dont continue with that language, or just edit the thread title, because they dont just ban your account, they IP ban you so you cant sign up again.

i kno how to get the car yu want. i always get the car i want. after finishing the race. yu go to the results screen. save it. then continue to get yur prize. if yu dunt get wat yu want then reload the game and if yu still dunt get wat yu want reload it until yu do. i always do that with the series race

He's talking about endurance races...

And no, you can't do what hoangvu said in endurance races. You have to redo the race over if you do not recieve the car that you wanted.

Yeah, what he said. And whatever hoangvu meant, but in comprehensible English!(lets see hoangvu shorten that word in txt slang! Nah, 5 syllables is probably waaay beyond his grasp!)
Pls us pln englsh as rqsted in accptbl us plcy!
:dunce: Honestly! Vowels have nothing against you! Use them!
To be honest I've done this race sooooo many times, not to get the F1, but to get some of the other prizecars that can be won here and only here, namely Clio Sport Race Car and Falcon XR8. I know you can buy them, but its just not the same as winning them, no matter how many attempts it takes!
Plus, this can be a fun race! Don't subscribe to the elastic band + Escudo trick. Have fun with some of the lesser cars in your garage. Its possible to win this race in Suzuki Alto Works, Mini Cooper 1.3i, etc, etc. Not just 500HP supercars, see GT3 Race Reports for examples!
8 attempts for a Falcon XR8. Grrrrr! Keep at it!

frenchguy, language like that is not acceptable, and going around the swear filter proves that you know it. Don't do it again.

hoangvu, language like that is not acceptable, either. Don't go out of your way to sound stupid.

It always makes me laugh when people pretend they don't know how to spell. HOngvu can spell ‘series’ and ‘finishing’ so it's not like his english is that bad. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's not acceptable that he wants to act stupid. This is a videogame car racing website, not Spelling 101.

Based on the rules written by the Owner of the site, his instructions to his staff, and our consensus about the desired type of community for this forum, I can definitively say that acting stupid is not acceptable.

That's cool. All i'm saying is: Hoangvu is just pretending he can't spell. He's not flaming or trying to hurt anyone, and some of us find juveniles such as him to be a refreshing break from perfection. All i do is laugh when i read stff lk ths. Real life is serious enough and when i come on these message boards i usually need a laugh or two. Plus, don't you think this should be open to all? What about people who have English as a 2nd language or kids?

English as a second language is not the issue. In fact, people who are not native English speakers is the exact reason that we want to stamp out txt msg aolspk. I know if I was reading a German or French GT board, I would have a hard enough time reading textbook posts. Adding in a lot of purposeful misspelling would make it impossible. With 75,000 members we are in the top 500 internet forums worldwide - many of our members are trying their best to use English as a common language even though they do not speak it natively.

We want to support that.

Now, on top of this issue, you hit the nail on the head - "Hoangvu is just pretending he can't spell." This comes right down to it.

I understand the desire for an informal and humourous community. But why pretend to be stupid? Don't we all have to put up with enough stupidity in our daily lives? Wouldn't intelligence be more of a breath of fresh air?

I'm not saying this place has to be humourless and serious all the time, but why go out of your way to look dumber than you are?

i hope you now that you can chose your car......you have to press x when the flashing light is under the car that you want......but it only last for about 5 sec...then the comp picks ur car

Hoangvu, would you like to add to this discussion?

Back on topic: I'm with small horses...i tend to get psyched to do enduros (haven't done any in gT3 yet but i will eventually) and am a huge fan of ‘fair racing’. I love doing enduros that are a good match. People who complain that enduros are boring are usually the same ones who enter an Escudo in these races. Enduros are so much more exciting when you've got a car that is evenly matched with the others (or at least one of the others). There's nothing that keeps my pulse racing like lap after lap of competitive racing...pit lap strategy, trying for that perfect cornering line.

BTW, is that true what TeamWilliams said?

NO! It's not true. I can't believe that 4 years later that myth is still around. Several people, Der Alta among them, spent hours of actual scientific research to investigate the truth.

And the truth is: YOU CANNOT CHOOSE YOUR PRIZE CAR BY PRESSING BUTTONS. It's r-a-n-d-o-m.

I did the Superspeedway Enduro competetively a couple of times. It can be a lot of fun, but it's a lot like NASCar. So you have to commit yourself to being one of those people ... ;)

(:

And the prize car is random. Suck it up and race again.

Ah, this is kinda like the rumor that came out years ago that in GT2 if you fill your garage with all black cars, you'll get a McLaren F1. Thanks for clearing that up, Duke. I'm new to gT3 and i woulda believed him.

Yeah, i guess it would be like NASCAR. Too bad the turns aren't heavily banked!

Some version of GT someday should have a 500 mile race at the Test Track, for muscle cars only...

Ha ha, yeah, that would be cool! NASCAR races are actually pretty grueling simply cuz the speed is so high ALL THE TIme. They look alot easier than they are

and also just because most of those cars are so freaking close to each other for long periods of time.

Yeah, I think people underestimate how hard NASCAR can be, the constant high speed, the need to run a *perfect* line every single lap, being that close to other cars all the time, AND the constant drafting battles that are so important to staying up front.

It's not just "Go fast, turn left, repeat 500 times"

Hey, I have an idea, if you have your S License that is. If not, go get it then. Now, go do the Polyphony Digital Cup something like a Viper. If you want a challenge, then use one of the Lancers/Imprezas/RX-7's and so on. After you have tallied up all the points and have made absolutely sure that you have won, then go to race 9 and save after it. Now, do the save and reload trick until you have won the F1 car. It took me 12 tries, but with persistance comes the reward: a F094/s. Even if you have won the F1 car in the SS150, it is the one that isn't really all that great for an F1.

As for the language, please try to not curse/cuss/swear anymore.
