I find Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars quite boring. They're all mostly identical in lap times. This game is sorely lacking in street cars. The update can't come soon enough. I will probably do 100 laps in the Supra just because I love that car.

I'm done for today. That McLaren is an absolute joy to rip around the track with. Highly recommended. The Bugatti is 7 seconds faster than the Veyron.

I think my next car will be something that can complete a lap in under 40 seconds. I know the Chaparral 2X VGT can do it because I ran a few baseline laps and got 40 seconds without too much trouble.
 
I just put 100 miles on the Supra and the best I could do is 1:00.008

I'm fuming. It just doesn't want to do 59 seconds. I don't understand why.

JFC...after 135 miles of losing my mind, I somehow managed a 0:59.841

I'm so glad that's over. If anyone can do 58 seconds, I'm calling shenanigans.

Took me 60 miles. Not as bad as the 135 in the Supra! Interesting that Toyota's own S-FR is a tenth of a second faster.

0:56.636 - Ford GT

A tenth quicker than the NSX. Not shabby for a decade-old supercar.

0:58.598 - Dodge Viper GTS

2.5 seconds slower than the newer Viper. It's about equal to a Lexus RC F.

I am glad to see you passionate with the time-trial again mate! Have fun! And as you know better than me, when it seems tough to make the time you try hard to, it is better to leave it for the next day or so in order for the brain to reset itself and see things more clear about where to make up time. So, relax and enjoy the rides.

0.013 seconds slower than the Alfa Romeo 4C. Power to weight difference is only 0.19 lbs/hp in the Ferrari's favor.

0.032 seconds faster than the KTM X-Bow R. Power-to-weight ratio is only 0.10 lbs/hp in the Lamborghini's favor.

Still have to test McLaren F1 and Toyota FT-1 so expect those in a couple days. As for giving GT a break when I'm frustrated, I'm a stubborn old fool :crazy::lol:

McLaren F1 is the fastest N600 car by over a full second. Incredible performance for a 24 year old car.

FT-1 was meh...not much to say about it. It's about 3.5 seconds quicker than the Supra.

I almost jumped out of the seat when I saw 56.998 flash on the screen. I would've been so upset if it was 57.0xx because I was consistently getting low 57 second laps for quite some time...It's a tenth slower than the Shelby Cobra.

Well that's a good way to end a morning full of time trials!

Now we're definitely in fast territory. That GT-R is insane, putting out near 700 ft-lbs of torque while being front-drive.

FT-1 VGT is almost 5 seconds faster than the base FT-1.

#100 is coming tomorrow :) It'll be either SRT Tomahawk X VGT or Chaparral 2X VGT.

Spent about 50 miles in this car and it refuses to give me the 45 second lap time I know it can do. So that wraps up 100 cars tested. Spreadsheet will be updated in a couple of minutes as I haven't included the last few cars yet anyway. I know I said I'd do the Chaparral and SRT Tomahawk X but honestly those cars intimidate me. They are blindingly fast, and the Tomahawk especially overwhelms its tires too easily without aids on Sport Hards.

I hope PD adds some more N-category cars ASAP because those are my favorite.

Well, I finally did it. Spent a solid 60 miles perfecting the lines. I was consistently getting low 40s to low 39s and decided to quit while I was ahead. At most I could spend another hour and maybe cut down a couple of tenths, but there's no way I'm getting 37 seconds.

I use Suzuka East as my testing track - just running laps in various stock cars if there's no daily I fancy running.

I tried the F1 last weekend, and it is properly quick... I think mainly because it has a pile of downforce, which is quite unrealistic!
 
T300 wheel, paddle shifters, ABS at default setting, TCS off and all other aids off.

Tires are Sport Hard for every car.

Daily Race A today is Toyota 2000GT at Suzuka East on SS tires. I'm currently in 3rd on the Top 10. I watched Be-Weis's #1 run and he cut Turn 3 heavily, as well as the final corner. Haven't watched #2. If I drive dirty I know I could easily get under 1:02 but I don't want to do it that way. I'm going to keep trying to beat him clean.
 
Yeh I thought of you when I raced there today, I'm still not a fan of it though. Yep I was hoping people were getting their tires dirty to do those times, I didn't even want to look lol
 
I'm currently in 1st with a 1:02.005 and it's 100% clean. I don't think I can get 1:01 unless I do nothing else today lol

Edit: Knocked down to #2 :(

His Turn 2 was a little grassy but overall a solid run. I'll give him the win. I might try again later.

Rudiculously slow time for Laferrari. Tyre model is a joke in this game, the car spins the entire lap and the only reason why it's the fastest car here is because of speed.
 
Well, getting nearly 1000hp down to the ground with two road-legal tyres is a complicated matter. Thing is TC options in GT don't reflect what's available on the real car. Assetto is closer, but even then you can't fully emulate what the TC does to the wheels for each car individually (because manufacturers use different methods and softwares).

On my Alsace testings, it is actually only 4th of Gr.N cars - nearly tied with the McLaren F1. I think what makes it fast on Suzuka East is the fact is has aero, and there's not much speed variation between corners on that track. Otherwise, it is definitely a car built for high speeds - very fast on high speed corners, not tha much in hairpins.
