Switched GT6 on and lost everything!

Having a really strange issue.

Switched GT6 on and when I go into Garage it says you don't have any cars despite at the top right saying im currently using the Honda Fit. If I check my stats it says how many miles I have driven and how many credits I have earned and that my licence is IB. However the game progress says 0%!

Tried loading back up save instead and yet have the same problem. Seems some how my save file has been corrupt. Any suggestions??

I don't think you can salvage your save if your original AND backup has corrupted.

Only thing you can do is delete the saves and start over, after making frivolous purchases copy your save frequently to a usb stick and copy the save to a folder on your pc if you have one.

ALWAYS back up your saves, it can save so much pain in the future.

Thanks for the reply.

Started over again and re downloaded the car packs. Everything seems to be okay now and I shall be taking your advice of backing up my game saves. Thankfully I didn't get that far into the game although unlocking online play is tedious.


Looks like im not the only one.

next day I went and loaded without knowing, and it said "no cars in garage" (I had no cars anymore despite still "driving" one shown in top right), I messed around trying to figure out what was wrong and it auto-saved

so now I was left with a corrupted save and a backup of the previous corrupted save

now I started over and make my own backup now and then, bit frustrating considering how much I had played since the midnight lunch (already had iA license (gold) and a lot of stuff done).. but I almost got my iA back now, went faster by using the anniversary cars instead of working my way up with the stuff I bought normally (only have anniversary cars as bonus, no 1m credits -- originally didn't want to use those cars because felt like cheating but eh.. lost data and all)"

Yeah, Just so you know, I also lost cars in my stockyard but LUCKILY I had backed up my save prior to it happening so I was able to transfer my backed up save from a USB back to the PS3.

My motto is pretty much "backup.. backup the backup, and backup again just to be sure"

How exactly do you backup your save?

playstation plus backs up your saves for you. or put a flash drive into ps3 and go to game save ultility folder. find gt6, hit Triangle and copy to flash drive

guys,

i have a similar situation loosing my save game, but... i can reproduce it!

the situation is as follows:

everything is fine until i pick my AMG SLS and make changes to it. i have not yet tried this with all cars in my garage but if i change any setting for the SLS (power, gears,...) and safe, exit, and reload, i fall back to the backup copy. i have also noticed that the settings in all three tabs A, B, and C are always equal, but only for this particular car. Also, if i purchase any tuning for the SLS, it gets lost when i leave the settings screen. I don't get a refund though. the money is also gone.

I have also noticed, that the LP and power numbers are totally bogus for this car when attempting to enter a race. Its only the printout however, which might say something like 4523LP, I can enter the event if the car really does meet the requirements.

the next thing to try is what happens if i sell the car and buy a new one or if any other car is affected by this.

this is truely a bummer, as the SLS is my favorite.

i'll keep you posted.
