wow thanks for all the comments guys. As you can tell, I realy don't have a set style at the moment. As I'm trying to keep it fresh and alittle diferent everytime. anyways hopefull some more updates will come soon, if I can sqeeze alittle time in 2day...

@ Araba, hehe the last two shots were made for the photomode/photoshop competition week 20, the theme is a car advert, check out this weeks entries here if you liked that. there are alot of good submissions by a fair few gtp forum members.

to make the cars have a shine....i go to the car wash. actually it's got more to do with stuffing around with the levels option in photoshop. I creat duplucate layers of my pictures so i can concentrate lighting on certain areas or blur sections, like the background. as you'll notice the celica has really shiny rims, although they are actually just the normal racing rims on it. I create that affect by adding layers with different colours to get a shine on them. Also helps to choose a track that has good/interesting lighting.

I hate taking photos on the nurb as the lighting is very soft, as with alot of tracks. my favorite track by far is motegi. the sunset gives really good colours to play with.

Really impressive work in here. Particularly like the two-seater one in post #50 and the Ruf in #64.

You obviously spend a lot of time on cleaning the cars. IF I may suggest. Some skies (Ruf) show blue 'banding'. Apply some blur.

@ AMG_SLK, thanks for the constructive critisism, it's always welcome. you are right, i do end up spending alot of my time working on the car, so i sometimes forget to check imperfections in the background. i didn't even notice the banding in the sky till you pointed it out. so i think that will be something i'll definiatly keep in mind when PS my pics. thank you.

@Duck, thank you. the ruf pic seems very popular, probably since the colours are very vivid. hopefully i'll have a chance on the weekend to take a few more shots to post up here....

i know what you mean.... i have it in black which isn't to bad but I had to play in arcade mode to get shots of it in white.... love the 2002, for such an old car it really has some extrodinary pick up and great handling. I'm at present actually talking to a guy about buying his one .... but unfortunatly it's not the turbo model so i'm ummming and ahhhing about it atmo.

Those are awesome pics, I love how there all sort of dark so you can't see the road but the car still looks great, it smoothes out the pic and gets rid of the pixels on the road and surroundings. I never would have thought of it that way. Very nice, I love your pics. That third pic of the white 2002 driftng just became my new wallpaper. Keep it up.

@perfect Balance, editing the lighting is the perfect way to cover up the little imperfections of the image such as the road surface. Also helps the overall pictures as i like to put alot of contrast in my shots to give it my unique style so it stands out from the rest of the crowd. I also like very vivid colours like in my yellow RUF pic. might not be the most realistic image, but then realism isn't the aim.I'm glad you like them and thanks for the comments.


Hopefully in the next couple of days I will update the gallery. This weekend I'm off car hunting so i'm flat out till probably sunday night, but i might get an hour or two in tonight. fingers crossed.

The BMW tribute is still to come, but as I just purchased a 280ZX last weekend, i couldn't help myself and I had to take a few shots in gt4 to put up next to my new baby. It's a nice addition next to my Z32. hehe If you havn't figured out by now, I'm a Z enthusiast. Sorry but I cant help it... I had to show her off.


here is my baby... shes an 1982 Nissan Datsun 280zx. Imacualte condition and entirly stock. (the R34 GTS-T is my mates)
