T300 bug pre release

I’m on t300 on PS4 base. Was fearing the worst reading the threads today but just turned on and played for half hour and the wheel is working fine on default settings - haven’t changed anything other than remapping the gear shifts to the paddles as were orginally to x and square buttons.

Wheel is smoothest ever felt in game and I’m very happy. Will play around with setting over next week or so but I could easily leave it as is on the default settings. So I’m very lucky seemingly and happy!

TM just posted new drivers today which includes new firmware.

Looks like T-LCM pedals can run at 16-bit through the wheelbase now with the RJ12 cable with the new firmware

Interesting I have those pedals but unsure whether to upgrade firmware with things workings ok for me at the moment!

Updating the firmware worked for me - FFB is still way off AC though so need to spend a lot of time tinkering with it.

Ok so resetting the bindings has my TSXW working fairly well. But when I’m stationary the wheel is incredibly heavy and buzzy. The second I start moving it feels fine. This is on the new firmware released today

My first drive was horrible, the T300 was just rattling off center and felt like ****.

I connected the wheel to my PC, downloaded the latest drivers and it works much better now! Still not great feel, but actually drivable. Try updating your drivers.

Setup: PS4 Pro, T300RS GT wheel

True, but there is firmware on the steering wheel. After updating mine to v30.0 I have no issues anymore. I was running v25.0

Before I had no FFB, Steering wheel only rattling and being very twitchy.
Thanks, guys.

Never in a million years would I have thought of updating the wheel's firmware (if not else because of the pain it involves), but reading this made me try it and, indeed, it did the trick for me.

My T300 was a broken, rumbling mess and updating it fixed the issue. Was on v29, by the way (current is v31).

I’m wondering if some people need to upgrade the wheels firmware?

Just suppose for a moment that you are correct here and people do not have the latest firmware. So why then do the wheels work perfectly on EVERY other game? e.g AC, PCARS1&2, GT Sport, Dirt Rally 1&2, Drive Club etc, etc

Because those games were developed back with the old firmware. Holy ****, it doesn't work with a game developed with the latest firmware! It worked for me, it worked for a number of other people. YMMV

Updating the wheel is one of the first things I did and was still having problems, after a few times off and on the game yesterday i was still having issues. The only way I can get it to work is removing my wheel rim and putting it back when I'm on track

I also have this strange rumbling/vibrating not useful FFB (PS4 Pro w T300RS). So I just want to understand this correctly before I start this update: I have to upgrade the wheel's firmware by connecting it temporarily to a PC... do I have that right? (I can't imagine any way that I can do it via the playstation). Just want confirmation from others that have done this.

Yes. Download the firmware updater first. Install it. It will ask you to plug in the wheel. Click update. Wait a while. Job done.

Edit: of course put the wheel to PS3 mode before plugging it in

Exactly. Just follow @Azerach's instructions.

Just updating that my issues were also fixed by updating the wheel firmware.

Updating firmware has not enabled T300 for me unfortunately. I did get the wheel to work for one session once by actually removing my rim whilst sat in the car and reconnecting it.

I've tried a bunch of times again though and it was a one off.

First time out with the game just now, updated my firmware from 24 to 31, wheel working fine. Didn't try before the update but it definitely seems fine now. No problems.

My firmware on thrustmaster is latest vers 30..? Installed today.

I have come back here to eat humble pie and offer apologies ;-)

I have now updated my firmware from ver 25.0 to the current ver 31.0 and all my wheel problems have magically disappeared.

Here is the link https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/t300rs-en/

When you say all problems do you mean the game recognizing the wheel without having to enter a race with a controller first? Reason I ask is I’m on the newest firmware for the TS-XW and I still have that issue.

Also, can you confirm that FFB is really heavy in the pits with a vibration in the wheel until you start driving off?
