Aside from the physics change, what happened here? It feels flat and like a bit of continuous resistance when steering, like in GT Sport. Not nuanced anymore at all, like before 1.13.

Do more people with a T300 have this?

EDIT: Updated to the latest firmware, and now the FFB feels good again!

Did you read the patch notes?

- Adjusted the force feedback in the following steering wheel controllers:
  ・Fanatec® Podium
  ・Fanatec® GT DD Pro
・Fanatec® GT DD Pro + BoostKit

I know it doesn't say T300, but...could be they didn't document it. Personally G923 still feels the same

Reading them now. Odd that mine feels different then. Do more people with a T300 have this?

T300 here, definitely feels different. Maybe we have to change some ffb settings?
Welcome to the forum! I changed the strenght and the sensitivity, but it didn't go back to the great feeling of the FFB before 1.13, unfortunately.

Good to know I'm not a lunatic though. xD

Thanks mate :D
I've only had the wheel for a few weeks, I feel like I just got used to it and they changed it hahah.

Time for some more practice.

I'm a T300rs 599XX user and I sort of feel the same way. I just can't figure out if it's something to do with the cars physics changing the way we interact with them using the wheel or if FFB settings have been changed for wheels other than Fanatec.

T300GT here. I found it's different right after the update. Much less FFB, and feels strange.
I was even 1-2 seconds slower/lap than using a controller!

I think it's caused by the new physics update, I changed a lot of my wheel settings after the update and now the game feels better than ever. But then again, I thought the FFB was quite dead feeling before the update, so maybe I just got used to it.

Which wheel do you have and which settings do you use now that feel good?

T300. I'll be honest though I may have misled you, I jumped on just now to confirm my settings and had a quick drive and the car doesn't react to kerbs... Big brain me just hadn't noticed yet. :P I did find that having FFB sensitivity set to 0 was better for feeling the car though, higher settings just gives more resistance and therefore voids the rest of the FFB.

Indeed, I first put it at 0 too, but later noticed that the kerbs didn't register. I currently have it at 5. I might lower it, but I still want to be able to feel the kerbs.

seriously I've give another go, to try again after all the comment about physics, the FFB is dumb, this updates ruined completely my enjoyment with the game, I go back to AC or ACC while and if they fix it

I've try the same car and race before and after the update, all feel dead now, having more grip, why not, but tone down all the FFB effect that's a full NO WAY

It's been too long since I played GT7 pre-patch, but I put in a few hours last night post-patch and the FFB is shocking. I can't comment on how it was before, but I can say that compared to all the other racing sims I'm playing on the PC, the GT7 FFB feels completely lifeless. It doesn't feel attached to the wheels at all, just feels more like a controller with occasional rumble effects.

Good to see I'm not imagining this.

i turned up the sensitivity, seems to be at least getting the kerbs feed back back
could you share your setup torque and sen ?

Edit : I guess this is a bug affecting the FFB (specific to the T300RS ?), in fact the wheel mimic the controller sensation with a strange rumble as soon as you loose grip, there is too much information lost here to be only due to the physics overhaul, even on bouncy tracks with cars I know to be challenging it's all lifeless appart the rumble, let's hope they notice it and fix it ASAP !

I noticed this weird rumble started when I realised I was playing on PS4 with PC/PS3 mode enabled on my T300rs, switched to PS4 mode and that rumbled appeared when losing grip. Now U mentioned this I tried swithching back to PC mode and its definitely much better FFB on PC mode! No artificial rumble and seems to be a lot more FFB in the centre. Im guessing because BOOST mode is enable on the PC firmware so exactly what I've been looking for! Try switching modes see if you can feel the difference

How did you manage to get pc mode to work on console? It doesn't work for me on ps5

Im using it now and its made gran turismo come to life! been testing all night and when i switch back to PS4 mode it seems like its on 'controller mode'. Try PS3/ PC people its like a whole new game for me. Easy to test turn too hard into a corner and on ps4 mode u will 'scrub' and it will vibrate like on controller. For me its gone on PC mode.

Its also made me way faster I'm flying through missions and licenses I could only silver before but getting on the first try now :)

Also when switching modes u need to put PS4/5 into rest mode then start back up before the changes happen
