I am also using the T300 on standard ps4 and everything seems fine? I start the console and the game by only using the wheel.

I have tried that, does not work for me

Well this is a turn up and something strange. My version number is v01.00.0842. We are playing two different version. So please confirm you have an Australian, Limited Edition PCARS2 disc and update 1.03 installed with the Japanese car pack? Is there anything else you gave added apart from this? I can't understand why we have two different version numbers?

Fwiw, I also have the strange 1.00.0842 version number after installing the patch. Using a New Zealand retail copy, no limited edition or any DLC installed.
Wheels was never recognized beyond the Share button.

There is a driver update for the T300 on thrustmaster's website from 14/09/2017 maybe try that

Yes, that's what I was aiming for. Found this today in the early morning, but somehow my bills needs to be paid. Will try this in the evening and report if it worked or not.

I have 842 as well, I just said "something like 1.00.872" to differentiate from the 1.03 in the update notes, and I wasn't in front of my ps4 to get it exactly right.

Same here. USA, digital deluxe version, PS4 500 gb. I have the latest firmware on the wheel. Has anyone tried the new driver mention in the previous post.

I took off work to play... bummed.

Hi fellow sufferers, I have the same Problem.

Using a PS4, 500 GByte, T300 GT 28 Leather wheel, Th8a Shifter, T3PA Pro Pedals with a digital deluxe editing. Tryed the game today morning 00:00 EU Time. Played couple minutes before PC1, no response of my wheel in PC2. Using an USB Hub. Tryed several times with restarting the wheel and so one... No chance.

Next what I will do is update my Firmware of the T300. Last one was in 2015 I belive.

That's a nice start for a game, just like PC1 years ago...
Could you unplug your TH8A and see if that helps?

Sorry to hear you guys having issues. So weird that it seems 50/50 with the same wheel.

I'm a Fanatec PWTS + Drivehub on PS4 player. I'm just killing time waiting for my local GameStop to open. Hoping I don't run into problems as many of you are. :nervous:

Hope you guys get it figured out or the patch in a fix soon!

Also, I've seen a report that unplugging the DS4 from the PS4 made the TM wheel work, so make sure to try that as well (at least for info for SMS to fix this).

Tried that, did not work.

Also how would installing a driver on a PC (I assume) change what happens to the wheel interfacing with a PS4, or are you guys referring to a firmware update?

I thought PS4 peripherals don't need any of that crap. And you'd think after Sony forced many of us to buy new wheels for Ps4 (instead of supporting ps3 wheels) none of this should be necessary.

To all those suggesting T300 FW update I have two friends with 2 year old T300s that are running the FW that they shipped with and their games work.

Further I have now deleted the 1.03 patch twice and each time the game works just fine. The patch is the problem not the Japanese car pack as I was hoping.

So my options now are:

1) Delete patch a third time and don't play online until SMS sorts this.

2) Return disc in the morning, get my money back, play AC until GT Sport arrives.

So far as to what I have seen of the (unpatched game) I hate the stuttering when cars come to corners and I do not think very highly of the overall graphics in general, not to mention the enormous load times every time I want to do something.

Whoever said unplug your shifter THANKS! The game recognises the t300 now! So anyone having troubles UNPLUG the shifter and restart the game, then once on the main menu plug in your shifter and get playing.

I tryed it with the Shifter plugged into my USB hub. Didn't work.
How was your Shifter plugged in? I'm a manual driver only and realy need my Shifter. I'm not convinced alway plugging it off am in.

I will try to plug it back into my wheel base as it was in pc1. Only because of asseto corsa I was forced to plug it separately into an USB port. Since pc1 work with way were I plug the Shifter, I was OK with that solution.

I'm on the PS4 pro mate, i plug it straight into the console but now I'll be doing it AFTER i get to the main menu.

.....

I have the digital version. How do I delete just the patch?

ATTENTION! THIS WORKS FOR ME!

Game is up to date. When you are using the Th8a Shifter, plug it with the adapter cable directly into the wheel base. This was the solution for me!

Had issues when plugged the Shifter into an USB port. Now everything works fine, from buttons mapping, till ffb.

Hope this helps some of you.

OK PROBLEM SOLVED :-)

Thanks to redi for the advice about the TH8A shifter.

Unplug the TH8A shifter from the hub and start the game normally. Once the game is loaded and the wheel is recognised plug the shifter back into the hub and it now works fine too

Now what i cannot understand is ***WHY*** when I plugged the wheel directly into the PS4 without the shifter connected it still did not work. This is the very odd thing.

So basically update 1.03 is the problem and it somehow interferes with how the wheel is recognised BUT the important thing now is there is a work around until SMS patches this.

I will update my first post about this with this answer.

Cheers guys we got there in the end :-)

Plugging the TH8A into the wheels base using the supplied adapter cable also immediately fixed the issue for me. Thank you TT92

Edit: This without the Late September firmware update from Thrustmaster

Have any of you guys ever tried updating its firmware through a pc I'm on something like v25 now and its running fine on pc2

I have a first generation PS4 and a T300 RS GTE and everything worked perfectly OK.

The only variables I can see are: I have the physical version of the game vs digital and an oudate firmware. Try to upgrade the wheel's firmware first and then try again. Also, pass by PCars official forum to check if they have any info on that.
