So in conclusion to the original question, nobody knows why the backfires disappear.... cause it really sucked when I had to use my real camera to record an Italia backfire...
 
I have my Mclaren F1 with a backfire however when you take the shot it appears under the car so it's not visible in the shot.. happened with me with the red bull car as well.. it would show up over the drivers cockpit.. which is odd.. has to be some type of bug.


Shame on GT fans just now asking where the rewind and slow mo are..

Hell I miss the fast forward in GT4 and I think GT3 had it too not sure.
 
GT5 wants to be stupid and show nothing when i take the picture so I had no other option but to take a picture of the screen :-/

would of been sweet if it DID come out like it should of...

I tried doing this, and I paused right on a flame, but when I brought the camera up there was no flame, even with shutter speed at 1/8000th of a sec

Is there some sort of trick?

some type of bug I think.. I found if I did like 1/500 the flame would be under my car instead of behind it..

It's odd..
