So how are people doing these anyway? I've been able to catch the flame maybe 3 times out of all my attempts....one of them for some reason the flame won't show...Are we just keep hitting pause and hope it happens?

I hope this works.

Again, I have not tuned the engine(Is this car really THIS powerful?). And as you can see, I had to play around with the camera options a lot to capture the flames.

Well considering it has 550Hp....I would say yes, it is THAT powerful. Nice attempt, but I think it may look better if you focus more on the car. Try mode 2 under "Panning" in the camera menu.

It helps to downshift rapidly. much easier to do with a controller. I have a good backfire picture but it's in the photomode competition so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it here.

Can someone help me, is it just not possible to photo a backfire from a Lamborghini? I have stopped the replay 3 separate times on different days etc and I get the backfire but it will only show if I put the shutter speed less the 250 which means it's totally blurry.

I have tried focusing on the backfire, the track, the car etc but it pretty much will not show up :(

Hmm, I'm still having trouble taking Backfire photos. I really am massively impressed with the photos in this thread even more after trying it myself. You don't realise just how hard it is till you try it! I must have spent a good few hrs today trying to get backfire photos clearly and I just cannot get the backfire looking good without the car being out of focus.

I tried pretty much every combination, and I was fully zoomed in, but then the problem is you can't get good angles cos the camera can't go off the track far enough. Anyways, here's the best I could do today.

To catch the right shot of the back fire is all about the shutter speed. Also the flames tend to come out when you down shift.

If you want slow mo of the replys, keep pressing start to play and pause the replay. Until they decide to upgrade the replay controls this seems to work best.

Can someone help me with this? I was using my McLaren stealth to take a backfire shot, so when I paused it, the backfire was there; but when I snapped the picture, it was gone! Help please!

With that McLaren pic the flame is not there unless I slow the shutter speed way down, I think that pic is taken at 1/60

interesting...so you guys are saying it has nothing to do with the shutter or EV or focus, that all these shots are caught by luck?
