EVERYBODY STOP

For the love of all that is drifting stop this absolute nonsense!

Can we PLEASE get back to the topic rather than this back and forth argument that is just getting everyone more and more riled up resulting in more and more arguments which is just a vicious cycle which does nothing but further segregate this community.

Just. calm down. Please.
Or shall I just create a new thread taking all the really good advice amongst the arguments and combining them into one big post to help people AS THE THREAD WAS INTENDED FOR ORIGINALLY

*frustrated*

This thread originally closes itself in the first post. I said that already and will say it again. The way the op is written, the title it has... everything leads to an "one post thread".

I said that already, and will say again, it is still possible to save this thread or something, but that is beyond my "What i can do" zone, since i was not the one who posted.

That's why I'm so sorely tempted to just try this again, so that someone new can just find the information readily and easily combining our shared views in a less.. what's the word...

hostile way? probably not the word I was going for but I've just woken up.
Just a nice clean post to give new drifters some insight into what actions annoy people and some tips to start off with.

I dunno, I just don't want to see these arguments continue (and don't say just don't come here because I know in the back of my head if I see this thread pop up to the top there will be some kind of argument)

Not trying to start a argument but
No it doesn't. I understood it i am sure others did.
Some didn't understand it.

Just because the way it was written was blunt and straight forward it is somehow written wrong? Then it turns into what the last Page has been? Huuuummm i find that quite funny.

Here's what I have to say now. The OP was basically hints and tips and some provided knowledge on how to tune correctly and be a courteous driver. It wasn't a OP of someone complaining/being egotistical/complaining about a certain person ect.

Basically if anyone has anything to add to the OP to make people learn to be a/better courteous driver.

If anyone else decides to continue to attack each other anymore I am simply going to report them I don't care who it is.

Well, i will explain to you again. I never said it was wrong, i said, it closes the thread itself. You want to know why? I will be more clear.

Ok, everything that was said, is true. Right. Nothing else was necessary to add or even comment. You can see that every comment did not added anything new to the OP, but people saying their opinions and facts of a similar case.

What i am saying is... all these pages, after the OP, are pure and simply people's opinions and experiences. Not a new tip, or even a new knowledge from what the OP already says. Once again, i never said it was wrong. Also, who understood or not is irrelevant.

To be more clear and give more emphasis, the only post that worth something in this whole thread is the OP. Do you understand what i said now?

Yep i get what you mean but keep in mind that was directed to you and everyone in general.

I feel that points can be added in either further explanation or more common sense driving tips and knowledge you use on a daily basis if you drive in real life. I even I believe in my first post in this thread even said
Lock2Lock
Great post and yes a lot of people forget this.

I come from learning legit racing rules. And the thing that annoys me the most whether I am drifting/racing/cruising... Is some dumb idiot pulling out in front of me after he or she goes in the sand.

You probably notice that I try to get off the track and out of the way of people coming. I try to give common driving courtesy.

Also you have probably noticed that when someone pulls out in front of me it usually results in them getting yelled/cursed at after a few times of the same person doing this

That is just pure common sense and if you do this anywhere whether in real life or a game you don't have common sense nuff said

Yes it is common sense. But then again, the thread title, the first post... it does not really let open. For example, it could be Tandem tips, or anything like it. It is more a wording problem.

Besides, yes, there are a few things that could be added, but this has got way too much offtopic. We all are responsible for this in some way... by the way.

I think it is a wording problem. So now that we got this figured out we can continue to add to the OP and not to the ASSUMPTION of Dom's attitude. Nuff said

Well, yes. But not everyone knows that it seems

Some people need to put more effort into being aware of those around them and exercising care while re-joining the pack.

Simple as, check your mirrors, check your map, be aware of those around you, apologise for mistakes, don't get aggro.
It also helps to use the same tyre compound and preferably a car with similar power to those around you.
Have fun.
Maaad! 👍

I'm not saying it's going to work 100% of the time

I'm not saying that accidents shouldn't happen and they can always be avoided by doing this stuff.

What I'm saying is, for people who are wanting to get into tandem drifting, you need to improve your spacial awareness to get the most out of it, otherwise you're just going to crash every other corner and "ain't nobody got time for dat"

God I can't believe I just used that meme.
*dies*

This is especially true with drifters in heavy cars, I drift light cars and when they bump me from behind or at the side during a tandem they barely move while I go flying off the track. Sometimes I'm in a 800-900kg car and get hit in the rear by a 1600kg+ four door because they aren't aware that their 'tap' is a massive wreck to me. Especially vipers or C63s that enter the corner way too fast to drift smoothly (because they just rip the e-brake and countersteer from entering too fast and call that a drift) and can't correct when they need to slow down.

I just remembered, amongst the arguing I thought how the GTP OLR could be used instead of what the OP is.

💡 This covers both sides of the fence... The ones making mistakes, and the ones going nuts over people making mistakes. Great link 👍

Tandem tip to stay on topic: Suspension settings make a huge difference in the grip and behavior of your car. Try asking around to see what settings fellow drifters are using, because it may help you match their speed and angle.

i don't know what was said in those 11 pages, didn't read it all, but the first post
and some of the stuff said in there is 👍
