**Tank Tactics**

My friend was very pleased to tell me he managed to get a tank

.

He managed to get it at the Vercetti Estate by luring one into the drive and putting it in the garage :home:

I lured one in alright but couldn't get too it, like a used a car :car: and well if the tank touches you it's brown trousers time, without a car it doesn't come in....

So the next time :clock: I got it close, jumped out the car :car: and got shot down....

Then I tried again but went into the vercetti mansion to top up on health before trying again, came out and the tank had gone

Has anyone else managed to snatch one?

Also if I got it put it in the garage then saved the game :floppy: would the stars dissappear? :star::star::star::star::star::star:

Back to the subject whose got a tank and how did they get it? :fire:

Almost had one. Got 6 stars from the upper floor of Sunshine Autos. Lured a tank into the lot, shot the guys who got out. But, when I jumped out, I fell down on the landing. Got hit by every cop that was around.

As AltF8 said, sunshine auto is the best place to ge them, just wait til one shows up and toss some grenades at it when the guys get out. or rockets

Jump down and snag it. take it to the garages behind the auto place and store it.

For some reason i can get tanks left and right in VC, compared to GTA3.

I normally get them at sunshine autos, at the skumole shack (fire from the stairs) the parking garage at the mall, basically anywhere where there is a ledge to shoot from.

I agree with the high point, explosives, jump down strategy to get the tank.

or you could steal it from the army base once you have found at least 90 packages... thats what I do. Be sure to grab the cop uniform beforehand though. It was a pain to find 90 packages but i did it. if i could find the last 2 I need that would be great.

Where is the cop uniform normally?

Inside the Police headquarters in wahsington beach. Go in and on your left is a room, the minute you walk in that room you get to stars and the cop shoots at you. ignore him and get the uniform , and the stars will go away.

You can get it as part of the, 'No Escape', Malibu Club mission too, it's handy for getting in the army base, unless you start shooting at them

I got one just by having it follow me to the garage of the Vercetti mansion, then I shot the army dudes and drove it in my garage. It's soo easy if you've already finished the Keep your Friends Close mission and did the pizza missions
