Tattoo&piercing

Welcome back Slashfan! Glad to hear you got it all worked out with the mods. Nice ink too. Cant wait to see the color.

Thanks Camaro for the kind words, I'll have an update Thursday as that is when my next session is taking place. Pictures probably won't be up until about, well roughly 9pm or so because my appointment isn't until 6:30. I'll take a few on my Ipod just for the time being until my artist can get HD photos with his camera. Once those get on Facebook I'll post them here just like before.

Yeah welcome back Slashfan!

Thanks Speedy!! Glad to be back!

In case anyone cares to know where I go or would like to see more of their work, this is their Facebook page. My artist is Matthew.

This is the only other Iron Maiden one I know they've done and it wasn't by my artist but I think it turned out awesome.

They look like they do pretty good work there, just like the place I go to. =P

I'm not able to get tattooed very often, but I do enjoy tattooing others. Hope y'all won't mind since these aren't tattoos on my own body.

I do have one other tattoo in particular I'd like to show off, but it's face tattoo and Im not sure how y'all might react lol. Let me know if you'd like to see hehe.

It'd be one hell of a trip for one of us but I'm down lol.

By far the craziest thing I've done yet.

Hahaha. That does look cool. Personally I'd never do it but its your body so all the power to you lmao.

I seriously have no idea what I want my next one to be. I think it's going to be a quote (I have an idea what one) with a bunch of stuff around it. Might put it on a scroll.

Results!!

It was a little bloody so the yellow in the moon looks more orange than anything but the yellow is pretty light. It was skin in the center and yellow on the edges but I told him to make it all yellow to stand out a bit. Really happy with it. I think it came out epic. I'll have HD pics up when my artist gets them on Facebook.

That's really nice. 👍

Thanks speedy! Once I cleaned it up a bit the yellow lightened up a bit but its still dark. I feel the darker yellow in the moon looks better. If you look up close you can see the tiny specs of blood lol. The blue in the center is a lot brighter than these pictures captured. My dad wanted me to make it a blood moon haha. He's getting a Templar done next Friday. My artist is charging my dad what he charged me for my tattoo, $300 which is a freaking steal. He's tacking on $20 for the edge work since my dad wants it to look like torn cloth popping up off the skin. Ill take some pics if that too.

I bet you were....

Not sure how my back piece is going to materialize. Still crossing my fingers it will all work out.

Any ideas on what you want and how much it will run you? It will be sore so when you do get it done try to sleep on your stomach for the first few days.

Also if anyone cares to know this is what my dad is getting.

Dad's new ink. Left the foot off to play with it and add more.

Slash, your tattoo looks awesome ! and so does your fathers ! Really nice work.

Thanks mikey! I'm go into have him tough up mine and clean it up a bit Thursday so it looks even better.

My dad is really impressed with it. Like he wouldnt shut up about it haha.

Piercing my ear today :scared:

Going to have my tat touched up Thursday to correct the moon as it wasn't totally lined up, fill in an area or so that didn't take ink well, along with some other areas that are a bit speckled in color, and to have the outer edge faded in a bit more so the dark blue doesn't look so solid against the lighter color 👍

Will definitely post results!

So apparently the US Government is trying to pass a law that would require any potential tattoo buyers to wait 24 hours to think it over before going and getting it done, and to ward off potential job losses because of them.

I'm torn on that. It's a good idea, but I don't think a person should get one done if they don't want it anyways, and thought about it long and hard. Sure some people just go and get them but still...Too much risk. It's someones body, that person can do what they want with it. If it causes regret, too bad.

I agree with you. Seems silly to me. What they should do is make you wait 24 hours before you buy food from Mc Donalds. I think obesity is more of a "growing" concern than tattoos. :D

As far as my back piece, part of my hesitation is my hesitation. That is a good indicator that I'm not ready for it. I just haven't found a design that really grabs me yet. With that said, I am leaning more towards a shoulder shield piece. Part of the hesitation with the back piece is that it will be really hard for me to properly enjoy it without being able to really see it without mirror assistance. Will see.... I will be getting one sooner than later. My oldest boy is planning on finishing up school this fall and if he does I will either push him out of a plane at 10,000 feet (my idea) or get his sleeve tattoo fixed (his idea). If he gets one done, I'll will more than likely get mine started as well. 👍

I know, I find that dumb. Just another excuse for the government. I find it somewhat related to the job market since they mentioned that...it's almost as if they want to get more people jobs in that sense. But then again, look at the amount of people who are tattooed in the US. Because it makes such a huge difference to pass this law....spend the money elsewhere. We don't need this right now.

It would be cool to see what you get done. You should compile a list of ideas and cool things that catch your attention, then share them with your artist and brainstorm ideas for what to do. That way, you can have a totally custom piece where you'll never see it on someone else in the world. I think that is cool, it keeps you different and stands out. Would be rough to sleep on the first few nights though.

Anyways, here is an HD-ish picture of my touch up moments after it was done. I was bleeding pretty hard.

After I got home and the past few days, I have been thinking of adding to it someday. I thought about it...my idea is to have the edge cut in, torn, stretched and tatters (like bionic tattoos) to look like there is a scene inside my arm (current work done). Just an idea I'm tossing around.

I think it may be a good idea to make it illegal to tattoo someone who is obviously under the influence of alcohol/drugs. That would eliminate some of the poor decisions people make but not all, some people are just plain stupid when sober.

Many shops rely on random walk-ins...the proposed law would kill or certainly hurt some businesses.

Tattoo look great Slash and your idea about the add-on sounds cool, maybe keep the skin tears black and grey so it doesn't distract the eye too much from the "scene" ? Keep it subtle....just a thought, would need to see it drawn out on paper.

Many shops will refuse service if they deem a person under the influence of drugs or alcohol simply for the fact that they don't want to get sued out the 🤬 if they tattoo something on someone and then that person regrest it later.

I know they rely on walk ins. I can see how it would kill business. This isn't a state by state law either, this is federal.

Thanks man. Yeah, it would be very subtle and not too overpowering. I'd like it drawn out too but I just don't have the money right now. I want to enjoy how it is now and maybe in a few years add on. I have it set up to add on easily in case I ever want to explore that option.
