Just out of curiosity, who decides which peeps join the team? I'd love for the whole team to have a say in it tbh.

Well that is what we always did and will keep doing , I just told ono last week that drift monkey wanted to join us so I was thinking to recruit him. Monkey asked me like a 3-4 weeks ago. He isn´t recruited yet, but I think he will be soon. I just need to talk with MLD about it too. For any further questions, PM me on GTP or ps3.

I hold no hostility to anyone on the team. I picked Burst mainly because of the drama-less management (not saying MLD has drama). I just want to drift and go beyond the borders. Nyordia I have been on D-Spec and MLD when you were on and I never showed you hostility. There were first impressions made but I held no grudge. I respect you as a person and as a drifter even if the're things I might not agree with. :)

Yeah, my first impression was like... wtf is he doing on Burst, but then i realised you were MLD_DM, not MLD_DW :P

It is very well edited, but i dislike Formula Drift (they drift slick tires, lol) and i also dislike stanced cars. :l

But the video is very well edited.

Well, since someone told me a wrong fact. *looked for some pictures*

Edit: Found this: http://www.driftworks.com/blog/drifting/

Edit 2:
You can compensate not having a lot of power by increasing the pressure in the rear tyres. It is a myth that drift cars should run poor quality / gripless rear tyres to drift. Drift cars need as much lateral grip as a track car to attain the huge speeds and huge angles, hence why a lot of top level cars run cut slick track tyres.

Vaughn gitten, dai all falken drivers use Falken Azenis 615 like so

Far from slicks.

Sorry for large pictures.

Well, semi-slick then? Since in Hankook website they say the Rs-3 tire has racing technology and compound and bla bla bla.

1. Your source is from the Driftworks website. Although they are reputable and a good source for the UK drift scene, that doesn't actually explain tire rules for Formula D.

2. Here's an actual 2012 Formula D Rulebook and regulations PDF
If you look on Page 37, Section 9.5.2, you would see that to compete in Formula D, "tires must have a minimum tread wear rating of 140 (UTQG)". Really good semi-racing tires are at that 140 treadwear rating border. Average street/semi-racing tires are usually around 200. Racing slicks on average have a rating of 100, so NO they don't use slicks in Formula D.

This is coming from someone who has been following the drift scene since 2001, have attended more than 10 Formula D events, and know many people within the auto industry. :D :D Spank should also know too considering he was helping out his friend competing this year.
