i honestly considered not updating but resorted going back to the cars prior to our hack era.

And there it is, the worst aspect of this whole hybrid issue. It's sad to see the online community divided like this. All those who elect the decline the update and stay offline will surely be missed, but I personally understand the decision completely. I'm fortunate enough to have 2 PS3 (basically because I'm an idiot, long story lol), but if I didn't, I would have had to think long and hard about updating to 2.12.
I can quite honestly say that the NEMESIS Family is the only reason I would be willing to give up hybrids completely.
Reign, you will definitely be missed
. I hope you take lots of photos of your creations, and don't be a stranger! Best of luck with everything...I really hope we can get the chance to do some drifting together again in the future. Here's to hoping that GT6 is everything it should be

Well said E. The explosion of creativity that hybrids produced was something that was really cool to be a part of. But don't lose all hope yet. As anyone can see, PD's "fix" for the hybrids was a halfa$$ job at best. I've heard from fairly reliable sources that there are already people working on a way around PD's hot-fix (if you can call 3 months a "hot-fix" hahaha). And, there's always the very very slight hope that the second update coming later this week will allow some of the modifications to continue (I mean, come on....how hard could it be to add a feature that allows us to remove factory wings??? Anyone who built hybrids knows that it only required the changing of one, sometimes two bites, to remove the wing!!! IMO, there's no reason that shouldn't have been in the game from the very start)
I went back to my old M5 and old Z33 yesterday. After the initial bitterness wore off, I forgot what I was driving and just went back to enjoying drifting. That said, I doubt I'll be taking many photos of non-hybrids....I can't look at my Z33 without the stance causing me to throw up in my mouth a little
I'm still scared to look at my PS13 and FC3S 
One last thing. Not sure if everyone saw this thread on the main page about transmissions. It seems that update 2.12 has a few extra surprises in store for us all

Yea the hybrids were fun while it lasted. Everyone should have known that PD was going to shut it down sooner or later. My #1 car was and will always be a non-hybrid car so I wasn't too sad to see my #2 car (hybrid) go away.
GT5 is not Forza. We're all GT purists here and should know what to expect from a GT game (tuning wise). I certainly hope that anyone who plays GT knew that hybrids were going to be short lived. I hope know one would quit the game because of an exploit the modders found and PD eliminated.

im sure there are some out there trying to re-hack the game, but we saw what PD did when they found out and it honestly just wouldnt suit well for us unless PD just allows the hack to exist in the game. but like any business, reputation would be on the line if they allow this outsourced modification be permitted and highly doubt their company would want to be jeopardized because some drifters wanted to make their cars look steezy.
ergo, the latest update exists. i would love for PD to make the adjustments themselves but no need in wishing for something that would never happen.
so we digress.. but doesnt necessarily mean it is a bad thing. now it actually takes some time to do some r&d on your car of choice instead of strapping an X1 into your S13 to cover up the tracks of some peoples bad tuning skills.
like i said before... it was fun while it lasted. but now its back to virtual reality (oh the hypocrisy). lastly, hack or not, i will still knock on your door w/ my fender.

had a nice drift session with PUSH, Gambino and the rest of Nemesis. especially with Gambino, those few laps around GVS were awesome 👍 cheers for sticking with main cars that are non-hybrids and will remain as such
