Wearing out your front tyres and steering column is going to be SO. MUCH. FUN! :dunce:

I'm not gonna lie, the idea is great, especially as a way to keep occupied during rapid charges.... Now they just need to work on it in a way which doesn't cause damage to components. :P

Not to mention the neck discomfort from constantly looking down and to the right for extended periods, and the inevitable social media shame when someone records you flailing around in your car like a derplord. FUN!

Bloomberg surveyed 5,000 Model 3 owners. They only released the data for quality and reliability today. There's more data that will be slowly released in the coming days. Everything is interactive on their website.

The worst single month for Tesla defects was February 2019, which recorded 101 issues for every 100 cars sold. That’s when Tesla began overseas exports amid a dizzying stretch of changes to production and logistics that led to half of the quarter’s deliveries rushed out in the final 10 days.

In the months that followed, initial quality improved considerably and reached a record low of 35 issues per 100 cars in September 2019, according to the owners surveyed.

Most problems involve the car’s exterior. Paint was far and away the biggest source of complaints, with about 12% of owners reporting an issue, followed by irregular gaps between body panels, then scratches and dents.

Notwithstanding its initial flaws, Tesla owners raved about their cars. This is something of a paradox found repeatedly in the Bloomberg survey—many of those owners who dealt with defects in their new Model 3 gave the electric sedan high overall marks for satisfaction. They gave their highest ratings to its design, performance, and some of the unusual software features that help define Tesla’s brand. A nearly unanimous 99.6% of respondents said the Model 3 is a pleasure to drive, the kind of consensus rarely reached by any consumer product.

I mean, they're kindasorta right in that most manufacturers are pushing towards mild hybrids and that in turn is bringing their cost down... but man, talk about completely missing the point of why Teslas even exist in the first place.

But then again, there were a couple people who bought those Fisker shells that Bob Lutz crammed LS engines into, so I imagine there are a few people who would buy a hybrid Tesla just to be "that guy".

Reportedly the Tesla Model 3 plant in China is now shut down temporarily due to coronavirus concerns.
