While the first TDU had a nice car list TDU2 was just bad. And from what we have seen so far TDU SC is more similar to the second one. More focus on European sports and hyper car, a small selection of American muscles, some SUV and again JDM nowhere to be seen.
Unfortunately TDU 2 was actually going to have a pretty big car list most of it got cut due to license issues also employees getting laid off.

Even the Ferrari F2004 was going to be featured along with a Dragster

So HKI is confirmed? It is smaller than fh5's map then?

It seems like they are using gas stations as repair points for you car. Dynamic weather and day night cycle too. Speed traps and wrecks are a thing. 600km of roads and 14 districts.
Seems so, 41sq miles for FH5, 30sq miles for HKI. Not sure how many km of roads FH5 has.

Fh4 had 195km of tarmac. Fh3 had 203km of tarmac.

Is tdu measuring offroad trails as roads too?

Either way it seems like they're gonna make it very dense with very little actual open free roam areas, kinda the opposite of horizon's drive anywhere philosophy and more like wrc games/ the original fh.

Looks nice, and I really hope the driving is good enough to accommodate the car variety.

I don't care about graphics much, but still wonder why did they use this image.

Maybe that's the Switch version?:scared: I'll still buy it.. I'm terrible. I just loved the old Test Drive games so much I'm desperate for another racing game that isn't GT or NFS.. gotta say I'm not feeling good about all of these delays and that screenshot. Yikes.

Oh, I'm going to buy it too. Racing or just driving in Hong Kong is a good enough reason for me. I just hope the physics and handling are as good as the devs claim it to be. And I'm a little worried too that we didn't see any gameplay yet. But will wait patiently.

Interesting, I mean, even if you include the dirt roads, FH still falls some way short of TDUSCs claimed 600km. From a 25% smaller map size, that is indicative certainly of a more dense map. As should be expected I suppose if they're going 1:1 with some creative liberties on some roads.

if they are going to put thin and dense roads, then their handling better be top notch, especially for the car variety they are going for.

The shot with the vegetation reminds me a lot of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. That title had awfully blurry TAA and a horrible sharpening filter, which was not the greatest combination with moving vegetation. That said, I will reserve judgement until we see some moving bits.

I'm really curious what they've done with the jungle/forest part of the island since that is covering most of it and is basically not developed at all.

Watched this last month wondering what the map look like (never seen the island before), and what landmarks will/won't appear. Guess they all will now.

But man, that is A LOT of high rises on the island. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this might be the largest city featured in a racing game. The Crew has NY & whatnot, but its cities are drastically scaled down.

They have already said some of the roads will be widened, so it's really not a true 1:1 scale of the real life HKI. But most of the signature/world famous buildings will be in the game.

Exactly what I wanted to say, reminds me of GRW.
To be honest, it looks worse. Look at the gras, the texture below... oh boy.
And the viewing distance also looks bad (haze/fog everywhere).

Pretty much everything that I feared (visually). I just look very dated.
